A recent update to this mod removed the heads. I tried the method of The Spare Ace, but maybe

I have found a bug occurring with Lapelli in 1.4.
They're headless. So I took a look at the debug log, (I forgot to upload the log.) It said that it couldn't find the images for the head. I cross referenced this with pawns that I knew were working: Cutebolds. I discovered that in the Lapelli file, Forward slashes (\) were used in the directory instead of backslashes (/). I replaced all \'s with /'s in the 1.4/Defs/HeadTypeDefs.xml file. This has fixed my problem, and now the Lapelli's are no longer decapitated, unless I say so.
I'm on linux if that makes any help.

Aboslutely love this race, but i'm noticing that there's a layering issue with the wings and most any long hair (even vanilla) where the wings are showing in front of the hair. is there a fix for this?

Lapelli Mod works well with Xeva Faction mod! Thank you, amazing creator!

(For the fans of this mod, you should try to learn RimPy, it is extremely good for sorting your mods and keeping them updated. They are working very well on 1.4 on my playthrough, I have all the DLC.)

I haven't been able to use this for a long time. If I start with a Lapelli faction, the game will not generate any pawns.

Not just for Vanilla Faction Expanded: Ancients, but for a few other mods, two that I'm aware of are:
With Pawnmorpher both Lapelli and Ferian default to human health values, which while it's a mild buff to Ferians, it's a crippling nerf to Lapelli, almost halving their effective health.
With Gym Rat they don't have the stamina system applied to them, which I haven't tested to see what effect it has, but I'd imagine it's bad.

I swear I remember a couple more but I can't recall off the top of my head, I'll mention it if I recall what it is.

Both Lapelli and Ferian can't use the superpower from the Vanilla Faction Expanded: Ancients. the Power tab is just non-existent compared to other alien races.

Before you ask, no log is generated whenever I clicked on god mode to see if it showed up. Its just as if it never was loaded inside the list.

I've used this race for years now, and they arrive rarely in raids from non-tribals. They also can come in from crashed transport pod and wanderer joins.

Basically, you can't start with them, but they are just littered throughout the game.

A submod adds a dedicated faction of them.

Is it possible to recrute them with event/raid or be able to have them in the random starting pawn choice or do we need to add something like Faction blender to be able to meet them and get some in our colony? Or do we need to start a full Lapelli colony?

With pawnmorpher mod,lapelli bodyparts health set to human scale.For example lapellis leg have 54 hp but with that mod it have 30/54.and it not recover above 30

For some reason my Lapelli wont Hunt. They usually stand nearby what they are supposed to hunt but dont open fire on it. I used CE's ammo system but vanilla weapons. I get this error: https://gyazo.com/90dcaf680b1c11b900c51b42c971068f

An alternative to valdindor's fix I did was to:
1) Head to
<disk drive>:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\2025057326\Textures\world
2) Renamed the image to Lapellibase from LapelliBase

It's a quicker fix, and the Lapelli was spawning back as a pawn in the game.

fixed it for myself. I deleted all the folder at this directory

AppData\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios

Except the save folder. Then verified the game and loaded it back up and it works fine. See if that helps

Hullo! I'm getting an odd sort of error with this mod, though I'm not sure if it's actually doing anything wrong. Though I'd post the log here just in case.
Could not load UnityEngine.Texture2D at world/Lapellibase in any active mod or in base resources. I think I found a fix for the Unknown crown type: Undefined problem. Open up your save file (preferably in something that's good at editing XML like Sublime) and find your Lapelli character information with ctrl+f. Then scroll through it until you find <story> and a bunch of information in it like childhood, hairDef and bodyType. Directly below the <bodyType> line add in this line:

<crownType>Average</crownType>

and then save.

for pick up and haul (continued) fix for rimworld 1.2, i found a fix for that. if you go into the files, lapelli race -> 1.2 -> patches -> pick up and haul, and then edit hual.xml, the <mod>'s name needs to be changed

since the new pick up and haul mod is being maintained by another person (and is an entirely new mod with a different name), it needs to be the following instead:

I'm having an error with the Vanilla Expanded Hair mod and the dev just told me the error is due to a race mod. I started a new world with a Lapelli and the error started login just as the character exited the drop pod, so I guess this is the one. Error trace below:
