Been moding OPEX on SOG maps lately to 70+ tasks with compositions, ambient civilian vehicles, enemy air/paras, suicide drones, maritime missions with enemy divers & ships/subs, custom support menu etc, am noob at code so slow progress at times..

@Corpo.Rat Unfortunately I would say OPEX is one of a kind.
There are alot of better mission generators like TRGM, Dynamic Recon Operations, Opcom, But none quite share the feel and versatility of OPEX.

Atleast none that i have found, been mostly playing Antistasi nowadays

@DxG6767 Would you mind sharing what alternatives you have in mind? Personally I am a huge fan of Gemini's work and general atmosphere/gameplay of OPEX but also always on a look for fun, lets say "similar" scenerios.

This is my favourite scenario, this truly got me first in arma 3. i have so many good memories on single player playing this game and all of this is because to Opex. There are better alternatives but this will never be forgotten for me

Wish this collection still gets updates. A good alternative that gets regular updates and plays with less bugs and is much more quicker in action is TRGM Redux.

Do IED's spawn randomly or only for the mission?

Any possibility of having mission and random hostile spawn farther away? I take the time to carefully and thoroughly plan out and recon my route (usually 15-20 minutes). I have a feeling this will be in the scripting?

For those thinking of playing this addon, you are a soldier on base. Go to tactical operations, report in, and familiarize yourself with the situation, then spend an entire game day around base getting to know where things are, and what resources you have available. Everything you need is there. From that point be advised, as soon as you go through that front gate (or otherwise leave base), you are in the red zone. There is no reverting back to a "save game". Excercise extreme caution.

Gemini, I want to openly praise this incredible mission masterpiece you have created. The OPEX collection is up there with DRO. So far I have worked only in Stratis, as I am very familiar with it having played the East Wind campaign several times. OPEX has no bugs and it runs very smoothly so far. Having completed a task or two I was curious and loaded some "cheat mods" (zeus everywhere etc), and noticed how you placed many objects and scripted items so as to not add computation load to ensure smooth play. I love the finite amount of resources, roadside IED, suicide bombers, and the other elements that require you to play with total immersion. Forget virtual arsenal and other crutches. The consequences for dying are high and force you to plan and be cautious. I think this has finally replaced DUWS for me. I have 2 very long RL days of play in it so far and have had no glitches. Extremely well done sir!

IED mission always spawns the IED under a bridge instead of randomly on a road, how can I fix this ? anyone have an idea ?

Hey is it possible you ugrade the AMF. Knowing there are new vehicules and weapons. I find it could be grate if you could add them.

I have a black screen when trying to start the mission. It'll load, then go to a black screen and infinitely sit there. I have all the mods in the entire collection.

I have the same problem as @CQCherno, It spawns me in without allowing me to set up the game.

The AI doesnt do very much here, they are just in the AO waiting to get killed. What am I doing wrong?

I tried to host this as a multiplayer scenario and I couldn't select a role to spawn in? Very confused so an explanation would be helpful.

Great mod so far. My question is, I chose to defend a village. I spent several hours in it defending. Enemies comes from time to time but I am getting out of ammo. Does it ends, or my game is bugged?

Alright, so on the Repatriate Dead Bodies (our downed friendlies), once I've secured the area, the only way to move them (of course) is put them in a body bag to drag and load them on the vehicle. However, the second I put the first body bag on, it fails the mission. Any help would be appreciated!

J’ai quelques petites questions, est ce possible de désactiver la faim/soif/dodo ?
Y a t-il une version allégé de ce mod ? Car j’aimerai simplement avoir de quoi recruter mes unités, et partir en mission randomisé.
Il y a trgm2 pour cela certes, mais il y a des choses intéressantes dans opex comme les patrouilles alliés et ennemis, de l’artillerie etc.. mais dans les complexe notamment c’est trop dense pour moi ^^ voilà pourquoi je te demande cela.

As my personal life has recently evolved, I inform you that I don't have time anymore for continuing OPEX development and support. Maybe I will try to fix a few things later but do not expect any new update or help soon.
If something is going bad with OPEX, you have to deal with it. I can only suggest to read the in-game FAQ and all the comments on the Steam Workshop or on the official forum [forums.bohemia.net]: maybe the answer to your question is already there. If necessary, just restart or reset the mission: in general this solves most of the issues.

I would love to have more time for continue this project I started and developed alone since 2012 but there are things much more important in a man's life :)
I hope you'll continue to enjoy OPEX as much as possible anyway ;)

Ma vie personnelle ayant évolué récemment, je vous informe que je n'ai dorénavant plus le temps pour continuer le développement et le support d'OPEX. Peut-être que j'essaierai de corriger certaines choses plus tard mais n'espérez plus de mise à jour ou d'aide rapide de ma part.
Si quelque chose fonctionne mal avec OPEX, vous allez devoir faire avec. Je ne peux que vous suggérer de lire la FAQ intégrée à la mission ainsi que les commentaires du Steam Workshop et sur le forum officiel [forums.bohemia.net]: peut-être que la réponse à votre question se trouve déjà là-bas. Si besoin, redémarrez et/ou réinitialisez la mission: en général cela résout la plupart des problèmes.

J'adorerais avoir plus de temps pour continuer ce projet que j'ai démarré et porté seul depuis 2012 mais il y a des choses bien plus importantes dans la vie d'un homme :)
J'espère que vous continuerez d'apprécier OPEX autant que possible en tout cas.
