as i understood the other ppl's earlier discussion, only the cooling ones cause a def key naming conflict...?

What i meant is that the name "freezecrystals" or "cold crystals" _only_ refers to one type of the
included crystals, not both :o)

they go to -15°C, deepfreezing temperatures, so freezecrystal would be on point and avoid mod conflict v0v

in the meantime, i had the idea to fork the helixien gas cooler (and maybe gemstones), since it's doing the same job(s), but i really wish someone experienced in modding would give it a shot since i can't take a look into any .dll files & have no clue about c#

;o) "Freeze"crystals would be not a really good name then and might add to confusion.
Better might be something like "Thermodynamic Crystalline Lifeforms".
Well, if they would be sentient, we might actually be able to ask them what
their name is, so, also not a good idea.

I think there IS though a mod for 1.6 with cold and warm crystals,
i think "medieval" is part of the name, ah, it was "ancient crystals" and that's only updated to 1.5, sorry. Its follow-up mod does not seem to include cold/warm crystals anymore.

( note: i also found "cold crystal" a bit of a misnomer since they included amber crystals.
But i think, Steam Workshop is nto realyl mod-creator friendly, so they cannot simply
rename their mods )

Last i checked, the Cold Crystal Mod also include Amber Crystals which warm up the place.
Or were those removed?

Problem when attempting to use the 1.5 mod made by Nik (I would've reported it there but they disabled comments for some reason :P) - it's throwing a critical error.

Exception loading file at M:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\294100\3291971971\LoadFolders.xml. Loading defaults instead. Exception was: System.Xml.XmlException: The 'v1.1' start tag on line 4 position 4 does not match the end tag of 'loadFolders'. Line 7, position 3.

@hamed91211173 interestingly enough - i don't have that mod enabled. I had 15 cold crystals and they all disappeared trying to build their cold lamp:) After that i just disabled the mod (

problem caused by having both this mod or 1.5 version and CaveBiome (Continued) mod both of them have cold crystal and that cause the problem you need to decide which one you want to keep
it's possible some other mod too include this into their mod structure too

For some reason then i build a cold crystal lamp - pawns gather resources, bring them to the lamp, build it and then it is unfinished a the crystal is gone now.... I give order to rebuild it again - pawn bring new crystal ant it vanishes :(

I still use this mod and now that I have the expansion I'd love to see an update of it for 1.5 Is there any chance of an update? Does anyone know of anything similar?

I would like to improve the mod for ideologies and a variety of forms of scenery. For these sticks with crystals sometimes do not fit into the design. Don't even stick it on the wall.

@Rikiki Do you have more ideas for cold/warm crystals? I tried drawing crystals for wall-crystal torch but i'm suck so i'm thinking about making commision on mod market, are you interested?

I think about new graphics for crystals on ground, torches, wall torches, maybe pillar :P

ok cool. in regards to the pillar that maximef mentioned, you could take something from vanilla and just recolor it as a temporary.

I just also wanted to show interest regarding a small pillar (2x2 I'm thinking) that would use say 8 crystals but would be better... somehow?

I've began to accumulate a few of these. How about adding a building that uses more crystals for a greater effect? Like a whole pile of them, or statue-like constructs.

hey for some reason i unsubscribe from this mod but the cold crystals are still in my game and also from my new save

Is there any way to change the spawn rate of crystals as I keep getting maps with just amber crystals which I don't want?

I've begun using the non-relevaqnt temperature crystals as a soure of money. In deserts you sell the heat crystals, in ice fields, you sell the cold crystals.

If that helps you figure out what to do with the extra useless crystals, since they fetch a good price.

No particular reason my opinion should matter, but I think the amber crystals are not a great addition. They replace the cold crystals in map generation too often; I was using this mod for a low-tech refrigeration option, and now I can't find any cold crystals to mine, only these useless warm crystals! That's the exact opposite sort of crystal I need.
