I'm working to revive the mod and I had to set it up twice before I found out that a non-replacer version is not viable. Unfortunately, I need to make use of the sponsor-specific buildings references - they are hidden and it's impossible for me to copy all of their properties in new instances.
The good news is that I managed to fix the bug with the Paradox sponsor.
Once I finish revising the sponsors and fixing all issues, I'll publish a new version.
However, the Paradox sponsor was not removed intentionally, but because of a bug with the modding tools that didn't allow it to appear.
Are you suggesting that I duplicate all sponsors instead of replacing them, and simply allow the player to choose between modded and unmodded sponsor version?
1) Still play as Pradox
2) Set non-nerfed sponsors for rivaled colonies.
@Acar, sorry for failing to see your message and respond to it.
I have resaved and reuploaded the mod, hoping that will fix certain discrepancies with the latest changes done by DLCs etc.
However, I have to admit that I'm only familiar with the earlier state of the game from the time I worked on it as part of the Haemimont team.
I haven't played it with the recent additions, so I can't really estimate their scope and impact. I see that some "built-in" bonuses may have been removed (such as the 5 free pods), but I'll need to delve deeper into it and see what should I do to restore them or at least rebalance with other bonuses.
Until then, any feedback on missing features will be greatly appreciated!
It runs for me, but I did only a smoke test.
Also, I'm curious if it still works for users who don't have that new "content".
If people have fun with it, then it's totally worth it. Thank you again!
I have done the change and even played with India for an hour until I got a colonist born - no crash :)
Most mods don't seem to actually require a new game to take effect, and when they do - which I expected with this one - they typically just do nothing. (Also, for us newbies here with a modding background on certain other games, the entire "new game" thing is not intuitive.)
It is intended that you start a new game with it.
Thank you a lot for helping me revive the mod and apologies for taking so long to do it.
One day I should investigate a bit further since I don't know what changes those guys made in the systems of the game, but for now I'll see if I can fix it as you say.
And, wow, thanks for the compliment!
This is what happens with DLCs :/
One day I'll try to find time to repair it.
I crank it all to max right out of the box. Losing is FUN!
Sadly when I add this to my modlist I can no longer start a new game. It just goes to a black screen rather than the usual pick a sponsor etc.
Yeah, I'm a balance freak and I needed to have some thematic chalenge with every sponsor and not only with 3 of them :D
Thanks, I'll take a look!
Favorited, even though I haven't played in years and just got woken up by someone commenting on my own mod. I might give it a new try with his new collection (we are both in it, go figure)

If you (or somebody else) stumbles upon this again and I manage to find out what's wrong, I'll fix it :)
Thanks for your work, it's much more interesting than vanila gameplay
India modifies Birth threshold and non-Specialist work penalty - but these functions should be safe, they are used in the original game too. I have no idea what may have went wrong, sorry to disappoint you.
Do you have other mods enabled which change the gameplay or units?
