I don't plan to, no. I don't really play Stellaris anymore and a similar enough feature was introduced in the base game itself with Overlord, back in the days.

Will this be updated to 4.0+?
Cattan  [author] Mar 6, 2024 @ 12:43am
Unfortunate. I would imagine it still works with vassal/overlords but Paradox may have changed things on their end that makes it stop working (the error message will always mention commerical pacts even if something else should allow it to work).
harozuken Mar 5, 2024 @ 6:01pm
Now that ive gotten the tech and tested it, the blocks made to the gestalt empire and commercial pacts makes this mod ineffective in the current patch.
harozuken Mar 5, 2024 @ 4:03pm
That makes sense, im trying it out on the newest version and so far the only weirdness i have seen are three buildings called cost, income, and spend (or something like that). I have not unlocked the tech yet so IDK if it works yet or not. Sorry to hear you no longer enjoy the game but honestly I get it.
Cattan  [author] Mar 5, 2024 @ 1:00am
There is no update as the base game kind of has this mod's features by default since Overlord. Not quite, but close enough that it didn't feel like this mod was really needed anymore. I've also stopped playing Stellaris because it's become a game I no longer enjoy so updates won't happen; not from me at least.

That said the mod is still functional on game versions prior to Overlord and it "probably" still works? Overlord added an additional feature but didn't replace branch offices, so that shouldn't be a problem. I'm sure it would cause odd behaviours here and there but there's no reason it would be entirely broken. I'm kind of curious now, honestly.
harozuken Mar 4, 2024 @ 9:47pm
This is likely a no but does this mod still work? or is there an updated version of this mod?
Cattan  [author] Dec 21, 2022 @ 9:25am
I probably could, actually. I've been away from the game for a while but I'll look it up henever I get the chance.
Animal 7 Dec 19, 2022 @ 9:31am
can you add the buildings added from this mod to the ones you can create in overlord?
Cattan  [author] Aug 25, 2022 @ 12:31am
It does not. As stated in the second paragraph this mod is no logner being updated, seeing as the base game now effectively does the same thing.
Hazardous Aug 24, 2022 @ 5:30pm
How does this interact with holdings as an lord of a nation?
Cattan  [author] Mar 27, 2022 @ 2:20am
Just published a tentative fix for the pops not taking the bio trophy job; it's not tested yet but I have a pretty good feeling it should work. At the very least, it should reduce the behaviour, as the AI will now prioritise it better. Specifically, not enslaved nor nerve stappled pops should be much more likely to take the job, and once they are a bio trophy they will never leave unless the player manually reassigns them.
Cattan  [author] Mar 23, 2022 @ 1:14pm
Alright, I'll look into it. Not sure how that's possible but the primitives and psyonic traits could be messing with it. Thanks for reporting this.
Docckylle Mar 23, 2022 @ 12:48pm
In a RS game I had with this mod I was in a federation with a synth, a newly uplifted primitive and a psionic empire. The synth made sense, but the two others didn't have any bio-trophies even on their most unemployed planet(s)
Cattan  [author] Mar 23, 2022 @ 12:08pm
Can you give me more detail on the pops in question? It's possible the pops are inneligible (I've made sythetics unable to have that job, for instance) but there may be a mistake, or an error due to updates.
Docckylle Mar 23, 2022 @ 7:16am
The AI seems to not like the bio-trophy job, even when there is massive unemployment
Cattan  [author] Mar 23, 2022 @ 4:57am
The "require corporate authority" is the default message so you'll pretty much always get that one. he fact that you have the error is a bit strange though, it should work on any subject type. I will look into this.
Crash Mar 23, 2022 @ 2:13am
I can't seem to be able to create a branch office on a protectorate's planet. Any advice?

Issue is that it says I need the corporate authority.
Cattan  [author] Mar 12, 2022 @ 3:34am
Correct. As stated in the first paragraphe of the description, commercial pacts still don't apply to machine empires. In order to esablish branch offices you need to either be in a federation or have an overlord/subject relationship (both ways work).
Edward K Mar 11, 2022 @ 9:57pm
Im running into a problem: I can't establish the branch offices because I can;t make a commercial pact as a gestalt conciousness.
So these branch offices are limited to federation members
or the galactic imperium
NihilRetnar Feb 19, 2022 @ 3:23pm
This really adds some needed/sensical things to Rogue Servitors.
Cattan  [author] Feb 14, 2022 @ 7:40am
Here we go, finally had time for an update. With this I managed to get rid of the compatibility issue with the rules file. Still no idea what I did wrong before but I didn't do it this time.
I've also corrected the conditions so that any subject/overlord combo works.
Cattan  [author] Jan 9, 2022 @ 4:04am
It is something I have considered but I couldn't find outhow to do it last I tried. Still, I'm sure it can't be too hard so I'll try to do that next update. Hopefully, I should be able to work on this in a week or two.
Mythomaniac Gremlin Jan 8, 2022 @ 5:10pm
Question, I imagine as you cannot create commercial pacts as a rogue servitor still, you can't grant them charters and they can't build imperial concession ports. have you considered giving them an equivalent to this? i.e a rogue servitor that becomes the subject of the current emperor can establish branch offices on any world in the Imperium?
Cattan  [author] Jan 2, 2022 @ 12:53am
I haven't seen that issue myself but you might be right. I'l take a look at it when I'm able.
Docckylle Jan 1, 2022 @ 7:47am
Hey there seems to be an issue with trying to establish branch offices in my vassal, going through the game rules you seem to have forgotten to include other subject types that isn't subsidiary
Cattan  [author] Dec 3, 2021 @ 1:29pm
Me neither. I'll try again tomorrow.
Cheesemongle Dec 3, 2021 @ 6:29am
I tested earlier with a copy of this mod... not sure whats going wrong on your end
Cattan  [author] Dec 3, 2021 @ 6:25am
Again, this only happens with this one. I have no problem doing exactly this with any other file.
Cattan  [author] Dec 3, 2021 @ 6:25am
That's what I did at first. Didn't work.
Cheesemongle Dec 3, 2021 @ 6:16am
Name the file something other than 00_rules.txt and only have the definition for can build branch office
Cattan  [author] Dec 3, 2021 @ 5:55am
Because not doing that didn't work. I know it's stupid but I don't know how to fix it and I haven't had time to look into it. Mind you, the rules files is the only one that has this issue, I don't have problems with pop jobs or anything else. (though I had to overwrite the megacorp building one but that's to prevent RS to be able to build them, different problem).
Cheesemongle Dec 2, 2021 @ 4:49pm
Wait, why does this overwrite the ENTIRE game rules file???
Cattan  [author] Nov 23, 2021 @ 1:20pm
It's really not much now that I know what causes the issue. I need to go over another file which *shouldn't* be a problem but you never know.^^
Pondera the Radio Angel Nov 23, 2021 @ 8:18am
Most impressive work. I'll add this to the testing docket
Cattan  [author] Nov 23, 2021 @ 7:16am
And update done. I haven't tested it much but it should work. Thanks for letting me know, please mention any other issue you find.
Pondera the Radio Angel Nov 23, 2021 @ 5:32am
And it looks like 3.2 broke it again. I've got bio-trophies doing artisan, coordinator and metallurgist jobs. My sympathies, friend. You've no manner of luck at all.
Cattan  [author] Nov 22, 2021 @ 6:04am
Oh, I like this a lot. I've not dabbled in the espionage system before but I'll look into it.
Archemyre Nov 21, 2021 @ 7:59am
Yo, so an idea: Add an espionage option for Rogue Servitors to "rescue" enemy pops from their worlds to send them to your planets to be taken care of.
Travis Nov 14, 2021 @ 12:42am
Awsome thank you :D
Cattan  [author] Nov 13, 2021 @ 6:28am
And fixed! Paradox added about 600 lines to a file I had modified, so that couldn't work. I updated the mod to run with the current version of the file in question (00_rules.txt) and it works fine. In order to make the mod future proof, I need to add my rules to a new, separate file which I had issues with last time I tried.

Still, as of right now the mod works and applying the same fix for each update will be simple.
Pondera the Radio Angel Oct 29, 2021 @ 9:34pm
Yep. Can confirm. At start of game, my pops have 0% habitability on ANY planet including the homeworld and I've narrowed down the cause to be this mod.
Cattan  [author] Oct 28, 2021 @ 11:56am
Fair.^^
Travis Oct 28, 2021 @ 11:51am
Yeah get better soon for sure, but in the mean time, update your mod so I can zone out and play while I am sick :p
Zora Oct 27, 2021 @ 8:01am
Its ok We can Wait your health is More important, Hope you get better soon. Looking forward to the fix
Cattan  [author] Oct 27, 2021 @ 1:46am
Unfortunately I've had to deal with a lot of work and a bad flu so I haven't had time to look at things yet. I don't want to make promisses for a fix but I'll get on it when I'm able.
Travis Oct 26, 2021 @ 2:44pm
I like this one a lot but when I start games it kills my pops. What might it be conflicting with. I am happy the Author has checked in. Is there a work around?
Cattan  [author] Oct 18, 2021 @ 4:14am
Oh that's pretty simple: I had just edited them all to check against "has_valid_civic = civic_machine_servitor". If that doesn't work anymore, it might work the other way around: Check for megacorp government type.
db48x Oct 14, 2021 @ 1:11am
I understand completely! I went ahead and started trying to update the mod, and got it mostly working. Servitors can open branch offices, they don’t need commercial pacts, and their custom buildings show up in the list of choices. But so do the normal buildings; those are not getting properly excluded. Maybe I’ll be able to figure that out.
Cattan  [author] Oct 13, 2021 @ 9:30am
That's interesting, thanks. I'll be honest, I haven't had the time to work it out (and metroid's release didn't help^^). I will have more time starting next week so I might be able to look into this then. No promises on release date but I can certainly look.
