for some reason the chess peices wont move? i tried physgun them, gravity gun them, pressed e on them, am i doing it right?

I didn't need to change the vehicle script file, just leave it as "scripts/vehicles/prisoner_pod.txt". Make sure to set the world model to one of the usable chairs from gmod, and then set End Fade Dist/Pixels to 0.001. The last thing that I forgot to mention is that the prop_vehicle_prisoner_pod NEEDS to have a parent. Just create and name an info target nearby and use that as the parent.

The chairs use a prop_dynamic_override for the part that you can see, and a prop_vehicle_prisoner_pod for the part you sit in. You set the world model of the pod to a gmod chair, align it with the model you want the player to be able to see, and set the max draw distance to 0.0001.

There are four chess boards on the map. One is the small one by the fire, one is giant, and two are in rooms with windows next to the giant board. You can only move the pieces from the rooms with windows, and each room only let's you move one colour of piece. This way players can't move each others pieces.

80% of the time I put into the last map was making and naming entities on the map so that they could recognize each other. Making this map I discovered the Hammer editors Replace String tool in the edit tab, so I was able to do a lot more copying and pasting of things to get done quickly. I already have some half done maps I want to finish, but eventually I want to make a "gm_train_table" which will be an upgrade from gm_city_blocks - probably a packed city with a monorail.:physgun:

If you're "free" are you still able to take my Skybox/map into another map idea to hand?

AKA taking a map/skybox and putting that (scaling it) to be like on a table or something (like a model city?
