is this still being worked on? If so is it possible we could get a Sea of Tranquility Map? Also will this mod eventually have vehicles?

Hey man, not sure if this is still worked on but I just wanted to say that I love this mod (your skyboxes are very nice) but it looks like Empty Galaxy and Empty Galaxy(Big) are the same size (smaller than the other galaxy skyboxes). Just wanted to let you know since it doesn't seem like anyone else brought it up.

I'm noticing that, granted with a modlist, the space skyboxes dont appear in multiplayer. They appear in singleplayer, but seem to not spawn at all when in multiplayer.

@NEEX the skyboxes are higher than their marker to prevent clipping, as you place them move your camera upward

Im having a problem where the skyboxes arent working for me. I put them down in editor and nothing shows up, even at night. That also includes when i start it up in SP

Finally fixed the skybox invisibility bug
also increased the skyboxes size
you will need an high viewdistance to see it completely

First of all awesome mod, but a couple ideas:

The 2km skybox is too small to really be operable, at least for most applications. Ever considered chopping the sphere up into 4 or more cross-sections, and those being large (ideally ~2km each) can be placed together to form a larger (~7-8km) skybox sphere? Might also fix the problems with the skybox disappearing at certain angles.

On maps like Utes or desert (ARMA 2) you can see silhouettes of mountains on the horizon.
I can try to reach them but they go away infinitely.
This is the effect that should be achieved.

while that may be true, it would go a long way. after that it is merely a requirement of "the floor is lava" type deal. You are correct but even this much would make the community wanna dryhump you and worship you as a god xD

I've been thinking about it, and in fact I'm trying to do something similar, but a 2km ball and an actual skybox are very different things config and texture wise, plus I'd need to make the ground seem believable and not a space colored piece of concrete, there is clearly a reason an idea like this hasn't been done yet, and its because its really pushing what the engine is supposed to do, considering it all started from blue guys shooting red guys on a poorly administered greek island

@sanchez to put simply, the idea I tried presenting was to retexture the VR map, this might be the best option but would require importing a custom texture and then painting over it. If that is accessible that is.

I see how this works now.. unfortunately its not as I'd hoped. @Sanchez the problem players appear to be having is with view distance. you need a maxed out view distance to see the skybox.
Which means this would realistically good for taking photos with as a tool and not as expansive as it needs to be for actual games to be held on it. It's possible to build a map with it, but view distance plays a role with this so would player FPS rates. these skyboxes arent transparent either, making a map with these boxes interconnected a not super smart option as pilots can fly into things. if it's possible to mitigate the view distance issue, and stretch the skybox over an entire map such as VR, and using a flat panel to texture top and bottom you can in fact make this a playable map with this alone

Could it just be bugged for me? because when I place it it seems to spawn like 40 meters above the object marker, and is only visible within a small area.

I know you find them in the editor but when I place them down it seems as if there is a very small window where the background sphere actually works. I use the polpox background sphere every once in a while and it's alot more straight forward on how to place it.

COSMOS ENGINE usa algo parecido, supongo, en el editor parece que uasa cajas muchos mas grandes pero no se pueden visualizar como las de tu mod

I want to try to make a block, using one next to another, and one above the other.
COSMOS ENGINE uses something similar, I suppose, in the editor it seems that it uses many larger boxes but they cannot be visualized like those of your mod

Al fin alguien se tomo el arduo trabajo de hacer un mod del espacio.
hace tiempo estoy intentando hacer funcionar COSMOS ENGINE (http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=27261) , pero es incompatible con las nuevas versiones de ARMA3, sin embargo logre que funcionara usando algun mod que ahora no recuerdo.
Estoy probando el mod y lo primero que descubro, es que si uno mira hacia arriba se ve una zona donde no funciona el mod.
SE VE EL CIELO CELESTE O NOCTURNO DEL MAPA QUE ESTOY USANDO.
SI SE UNEN LAS BOX DESAPARECERIA ESTE EFECTO?
para hacer una batalla galactica (pelea de perros) con el mod de STAR WARS, por ejemplo las cajas son muy pequeñas salvo que se SUJETEN ( attachTo) al jugador.
Este mod da para mucho mas, los alcances son innimaginables.
Espero que estes dispuesto a trabajar con otros miembros de la comunidad que puedan aportar mas ideas.
