Yeah, it's my bad. Both use different versions of the conv system which aren't compatible to one another. Not sure how you even managed to get through the first mission. If Arma 4 ever comes around, I'll see to manage my script libraries a bit better.

Since it's that early in the mission, I'd advise a restart if you haven't already. Do you have any mods running? (Running my other campaign M.E.R.C.S. for example breaks the convo system in this one unfortunately.)

If nothing helps, can you access the debug console using the SSPCM mod for example? Then you could try running this to continue the mission flow:

He askes if i need backup and its scripted that i go alone, he then warns me about the chopper and thats the one that doesnt have any dialog option to choose, so i hit esc to get out of the convo but i guess that convo end is the trigger

I having an issue in the third mission, linking up with frost the end of the convo doesnt have any choices to click so it doesnt allow me to complete the rv task

Hm, that might interfere as they both have different implementations of the conversation system. Try not running MERCS at the same time.

No problem! I gave another try to the last mission by reloading a save and went more smoothly as you said so I enjoyed it more in the end. If you end up doing more of this which would be cool, maybe shorten the missions a bit to free memory (all missions could have been split in two easily), and mark caution areas where mines could be placed because I got frustrated to die when trying to flank, or add the mine detector on the loadout.

Yes, performance is an issue with Arma. Though objects are deleted after leaving any given scene. I.e. before the base assault everything from ealier that mission gets garbage collected. That said I still noticed frame drops but only during high points of the fights and never below playable rates. But that might differ on other machines.

As for diffculty, I found that Arma is quite inconsistent in that regard as battles never turn out the same way twice. At times, I passed the final fight with flying colours as most of the AT carriers survived long enough to hold off most of the tanks. On other encoutners, they were wiped by the first few enemies and it became much harder. Also, you don't actually have to beat the Angaras, you just have to survive long enough. The waves all run on a timer and if that's passed (or enough enemies have been defeated) it progresses regardless of the actual state of the battle.

Just my two cents on this, First mission is amazing loved sneaking at Oreokastro. Second and third were very frustrating. Too many enemies, mines and enemy vehicles to the point of stuttering and causing significant performance drops (and I don't own a potato, plus other campaigns run just fine). And I don't find having to deal with 2 Angaras, an apc and a vtol plus tons of csat and viper something fun in just a single objective. I really wanted to love this as I beg to have European NATO lore campaigns but it's just too hard. Maybe if you split up the missions more it'd be better as it probably cleans up memory. So unless you are up to the challenge and have a PC to handle this, you'll like it, or just stop around the time you assault the base at the second mission, since it was at that point I started facing hardcore frame drops and stutters). Consider this if you end up doing another campaign (maybe Tanoa as your character mentions it). Dialog was really cool though.

Thanks, that looks like steam being steam. For some reason it adds an http in front of the existing link and that obviously isn't valid and might trigger some fraud prevention mechanism. I just removed it from the description as the base mod is linked under requirements already.

I have the same problem that Rik67 has. Informant on mission 1 seems to be missing. I'm positively sure I have checked the correct buildings, they fit the description in your spoiler 100%. No mouse to be seen :(

Otherwise, 5/5 content!! Love the talking mechanic and the feeling of the mission!

Amazing campaign. Pretty cool seeing a functioning conversation system in Arma that actually works. Also, the missions caught me by surprise several times, great work IndeedPete!

Really like the campaign. I've played through a lot of player-made campaigns and this one has to be one of the best ones for its focus on lore-friendly narrative that fits in perfectly with the existing story. Its also even more interesting since it focuses on the Germans, a NATO member that isn't seen or mentioned during the events and its involvement with KSK advisers or instructors seems very accurate to what they do in real life. Excellent campaign.

@Marco: I'd strongly advise against it but I hear some people did complete it using ACE, albeit failing two optional tasks in the second mission. But no guarantees, expect trouble.

I've played thousands of hours, over 2 thousand missions - this is without doubt one of the best pieces of work in the Workshop. Great imagination, a solid storyline, lots of variation in the many tasks - and all flawlessly executed. Thanks for taking the time to make this for us. I just hope you have time to do some more.

I'm not against community updates. The source can be extracted from the PBO. However, anyone interested should probably co-ordinate with me. I've recovered my notes from an earlier attempt to fix it from -uh- two years ago and started a fresh playthrough. Maybe I can at least get around to do a minimal bugfix update. I'd really love to overhaul the entire thing but that would be too time consuming. In any case, I'll at least try to note everything down just in case. Again, no promises.

I at some point started to update M.E.R.C.S. with bugfixes and a new shop system but eventually, it was too time consuming. I want to focus on new content rather than dragging along the old stuff. That beig said, it would be a good time to at least release a bugfix update for that one. I'll think about it but no promises.

Btw, probably you did hear this way too often... but.... do you by any chance consider updating M.E.R.C.S too? It is still one of the best campaigns available, but a handful of missions cannot be finished due to several changes in A3 since yours has been released. Just a quesiton though, I'm happy you put this together!
