There's a method for other mods to add new recipes to the anvil, so there is compatibility.

Hello, I really like this mod. I'm very new to Noita and I find it hard to get used to the "no wand editing" thing so I'm about to install "edit wands everywhere on spawn", but i feel that kind of overdoes it in the other direction.

This mod provides a perfect opportunity to strike a balance imo. Would you consider allowing wand/spell editing while in proximity of the anvils?

In the recipe page you have listed Tannerkivi (Poop Stone) but it should be Kakkakikkare.
Also, no potion effect for Mimicium?

Have you considered using a portable anvil to repair a damaged one? For instance, using a portable anvil beside a damaged one to reset it.

How does the portable anvil work? It seems to have a weird long string above the item and throwing it or whatever doesn't seem to work for me.

There is no mod setting for that, so you have to modify it yourself in C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\881100\1974488139\files\entities\anvil\potion_bonuses.lua
Look at the magic_liquid_mana_regeneration bonus.
Steam can overwrite the file though at any point if it wants to, keep that in mind. So better make a backup of your changes.

How can I modify the recipe effects? For example, Concentrated Mana should increase Mana by 400 - 600 instead of around 100.

Specifically what issues were caused? Outright crash, or was there entity duping before-hand? some other esoteric error? Idk much about EW compat but from what I understand, its a game of whackamole where you gotta see issues pop up before you can go "ah, i need to fix this"

Okay, for now we can only try to avoid situations such as asynchronous and crashing, which usually occur when using an anvil on a non host computer

No translations; I do have Meta Leveling though.

However as of right now it seems to be playing nice? Odd. Maybe something finally licked? I'll keep an eye on it and do some testing a bit more; sorry if nothing comes from that oddity

I think this goes here; having a bug with the portable anvil that shows up. Has a long string of like actor/item values that goes across the screen.

You need to get lucky to get a good spell and it's not gonna be that good forever, you need to create spell combos later on to keep up, so I guess that makes it kinda balanced.

idk if it's intended or not, but the "bomb starting wand" can be made rly powerful if you put it on the anvil along with the emerald tablet and some liquid, cuz then it makes an always cast something and if it's an powerful spell then it's an op wand because it fires it rly fast and doesnt cost mana

DS Archer that sounds like something to speak to Evaisa (main creator of Noita Arena iirc) about, I'm not sure how well the Anvil itself would work in multiplayer though it may work completely fine idk

Arena shouldn’t be an issue as you can’t join a lobby without all the same mods enabled, spell restrictions are just shop tier, and yeah, just the portable item would be fine, I think arena has a list of items that spawn in the shop and it would be perfect if anvil were given a chance to spawn there. Is that something I should reach out to them about?

I don't know how noita arena works but isn't that mode just the holy mountain and an arena? How do you expect it to work? Just the portable anvil? I think you'd have to ask the noita arena creator for that if at all because how would that be balanced if one person has it enabled and the others don't. It would probably also bypass any spell restrictions or whatever.

Yes they do still spawn, the one by the lava lake won't spawn though since the lava lake is gone.

Hi all! Horscht, I love the mod, do you know if Anvils will spawn in Nightmare mode? just tried Nightmare for the first time since installing the mod and didn't see any or the one that gets force spawned

Pretty sure you just got unlucky, I tested it just now and am still getting spell shops. I also checked the code to be sure and I can't see any reason how it could affect whether spells or wands spawn in shops.
