I fixed my black icon issue by using default material instead of two sided in the material settings

According to this system, of course, any of your updates will have to be transferred manually, but for me this is not a problem.

I don't use mods in the Master Mod > Sub-mod bundle. I disassemble each mod, add and adapt it to the mod assembly.

I love these items, but for some reason the icons have always been black. Is there a way I can regenerate them or fix this?

I just made it as a craftable ressource.
But if someone want to use it in a mod it's ok ^^. (That's a good idea though, if I have time i'll consider it !)

that's normal :)
If you set the mod directory, mod won't work in workshop, but if you set path as if it was in game directory, game will first look at your mod directory (it translates the path).

Fur Crafting Bench: Uses raw skins to create the armor, doesn't use power, won't produce any armor not in the mod. Feel free to incorporate into your mod. Personally, I like how it doesn't use fabric, which can be rare in certain areas.

So I have lashed together a bench to create your armors using hides, testing now.
My current test version uses no power instead of the 5 power requirement of a leather bench, or the 10 power requirement of a base with both a leather armor crafting bench and a leather tanning bench. Please advise if you would like the bench to drain power, and thus require power generating capacity at a base.

It's only craftable yeah, i may add it scarcely to some vendors but only when I'll merge it with arkhiel cloth pack (goal being to have the cloth pack as a base mod having an extension that adds vlothes to squads too)

I like the idea. I've been toying with the idea of just taking a character, a bull, and settling somewhere to see how long I can survive on my own. This mod should really help give that whole Mountain Man feel to the experience.
The idea of a bench that uses raw hides or leather, and most importantly doesn't need fabric, would be very interesting.

Armour looks really cool and lore friendly (The most important thing).

Is the armor craftable only or does the mod adds those armour pieces to vendors? (I hope its craftable only)

Well changing death items could wreck balance for other mods.
Also you can't add multiple recipe for one output in one bench infortunately
That would get the mod really complex , not worth it.

would it not be a case of adding the new animal skin as a death item replacement for van animal skin and changeing the material requirements for a copy of work bench functionality and adding it to a copy of the leather bench? thats how i imagined it would work

the custum animal hide could has all the same stats as original price weigh size etc just a reskin and a different mesh if you wanna make one or you could just add a fured skin to the original death item list specificly for the armour it would bump up the profit from looting bone dogs but dont think many people would complain lol

@abquintess I actually planned to use any raw hide to craft them, but it required a new model for a new crafting bench etc etc... I'll get to it later. The various hides are in theory a good idea but will be horrible for compatibility.

i had an idea, for a reskin armour i made to add an edited version of an animal skin to the animals for the armours specific crafting, (scales to river/swamp rapter for a scaled leather armour set that has acid protection)

maby you could add some custem animal skins to bone dog types, fur and leather
