Sorry for the late reply. Yes, this is savegame compatible. You can add it at any time and see the benefits. Removing it could cause issues if you've already built a building chain for the removed resource. For this mod, as an example, if you uninstall during a campaign but have already built the iron mine, it will still be there.

I use SFO myself and haven't had an issues. As far as I'm aware, my mods are the only ones on the workshop that make these specific changes.
