Yes it works, but u need to download RPFM and follow the instructions in order to get it work

This does NOT work in 2024. I tested it extensively. You can activate it in the launcher fine but none of the effects work in game. I tried a dozen effect and particle mods on here and imo Para Bellum Effects is the best one. Enjoy.

This will not work anymore. You won't find it in the mod's list if you change it to movie format. And you can't change the original and just make it read-only, or the game will get stuck at launcher.

Oh, and I should also note that the dust effects are decent when zoomed out. It only gets really bad when you zoom in, as the effects seem to get much more dense when zoomed in. I've noticed that as soon as I zoom out from a specific unit I've been watching closely, their dust effects are a lot denser than those who were out of camera. So the dust effect only seems to rise up dramatically on units within close proximity to the camera.

Is there any way to decrease the amount of dust particles? Ever since I had to change to movie format due to the update, I've noticed that the dust effects seem to have vastly increased, to the point that it actually makes me lose a lot of frames. I don't know what causes it, but it feels like the amount of dust got multiplied by 3 or so. Even just normal marching causes so much dust to pick up, it didn't use to be like this before the whole movie change. This is an amazing mod, and I feel like it is a necessary mod to fully enjoy Rome II. But unfortunately this dust problem is kind of ruining the game for me in both visuals and gameplay :(

Yes, you have to do that. It is the only chance since CA has implemented the automatically converting from movie to mod file format by starting the game.

So it is necessary to open my mod package with the PFM and change it to movie file format. Then you need to check read only in file properties. Otherwise the mod file will be converted into mod file back again.

Unfortunatly i can't upload a movie package. Steam doesn't accept this file format. Isn't it great? -_-

I tried everything except loading as a movie file. How do we do that again? Do I need to convert the file in PackFileManager to movie format, and then load with the old mod manager? I was hoping to never look at the old mod manager again.

Is this working with the latest version of the game for anyone? I just tried a game and it seems like the effects aren't working, the flaming arrows are still vanilla for sure.

Decals aren't a problem. But arrows are. No one has found a Solution to this. As of many things in Rome2, some visuals are not modable.

So ignore my previous comment it was meant for another mod. But about the oil reload time, i still have no idea how to do it. so i disabled it by setting missle number to 0, but you still can hear the sound of it. For the mark caused siege weapon, i edited library_vfx_impact_decal, now those marks stay forever but the arrows still disappear though.

If you delete just the texture file, the visual effect is gone, but not the boiling effect itself. You just don't see it anymore. This is not what you are trying to achive.
If you want to change the time for reloading the oil, it must be edited in some of the db files.

hey mech, do you know how to make arrows stay longer and you know when siege weapons fire at city wall, they have damage marks, do you know how to make them last longer too. I have been trying to find the files that governs these effect but in vain

Hey-I have heard that DEI's blood effects work-and that CA HAS released an update/fix for this problem. So....are you one hundred percent sure that this mod is up-to-date with the latest vanilla patches?

With the latest patches, my Vanilla Rome2 doesn't show blood anymore, except on bodies. So it seems something is broken with the latest patches.
My mod fixed this issue.

Without mod - no blood
With mod - normal blood

The entire game behaves strange after the latest patches relating to the blood effects. Someone will have no blood, some have blood, but it stays only a very short time. Another one will have no problems at all.

All i can say is: make sure

- you have Blood&Gore DLC
- your Settings are on Ultra
- you load my mod as movie file format
- set my mod to read only

Also after the very latest patch the CA ModManager crash on startup. To prevent this and start the game i click on the launch button as fast as i can and the game will run fine with my mod.

Yeah. I am not having any blood on the ground, either! I have had this mod for a long time, and it used to be epic! I remember when there were HUGE streaks of blood and gore on the ground after a battle-but that doesn't happen anymore. Please, mech donald, tell us what is going on!

I tried GBJ's blood mod but I just couldn't get it to work, so you are my only option left... All of my settings are set to Extreme, Extreme terrain, unit detail, sky, tree, water, everything... And yet, no blood on ground, at all!! I even have GEM and Radious TW installed and still... nothing. Please guide me on how to install and make this mod work, please..
