Um whats the point in changing Dragonhide if you leave the other "weaker" spells more powerful??? with the 4x multiplier and the other perk that boosts armor Im OVER the armor cap with Oakflesh.....without a shield or ward....
ŻABA JESTEM Jul 14, 2016 @ 5:35am
Alamar, I agree.
Alamar Xandal Jun 13, 2016 @ 4:57pm
Do you think you could make the mage armor spells increase your unarmed damage as well? I mean it's hardening your skin so you should be able to hit harder.
Issaka May 21, 2016 @ 9:48pm
Looked for a way to play Restoration effectively. Great mod! :steamhappy:
Clover Apr 29, 2016 @ 1:19pm
this made useing wards, honestly worth the magicka.
Juno Jan 24, 2016 @ 10:10am
Could you change the Blessing of Stendarr and Amulet of Stendarr so that they give benefits to wards as well?
Artema Apr 24, 2015 @ 2:55am
very nice mode, hope it works perfect:P
Hinter Knight Jan 10, 2015 @ 12:01pm
wish someone would make the ward spells act just like the flesh spells with a cast then a duration of how long its up for.
Feaklay Jul 27, 2014 @ 12:22am
Does using wards with this mod increses blocking perk ?
McQuire May 31, 2014 @ 9:37am
Tried it, like it, keeping it. Thumbs up. Thanks.
McQuire May 30, 2014 @ 10:23am
Wow!! I spent a half hour tweaking the dragonhide spell because it should last longer than it does, and 30 to 45 seconds with a 3 second two hand (no choice originally) cast just isn't practical. So I changed to either hand, reduced magicka cost to 350 and cast time to 1.5. I then increased the duration to 120 second duration(180 with stability) so I could get what I wanted.

Then I find you already did just about everything and more with this mod that answered most (if not all) of the concerns I had with alteration and restoration spells.

Thank you. I'm giving this a try and deactivating my mode to see how I like it. I especially like that restoration spells damage undead.
Ambien Walrus Feb 20, 2014 @ 1:58am
Awesome mod. I would really like to see my Restoration skill raise for damaging undead with spells though.. Please look into this. I do not believe this is an interference from another mod, but I could be wrong.
M4t Jan 9, 2014 @ 6:24am
Hi ! remarkable mod !!
Just a little question, i didn't find the answer in the previous comments, How does dual-casting affect armor spells with your mod ?
does it make it stronger ? or increase its duration ?
Grifthin Dec 6, 2013 @ 3:19am
Hello - I really like the Redux mods. Is there any chance of you adding scaling to restoration based on your skill level ? (I'm talking the spells like Stendar and sunlight bolt - anti undead magic from Dawn Guard)
Skatman Oct 30, 2013 @ 12:00pm
How about creating a destruction spell that fires like a shotgun and disintergrates wards and shields? It could use a large amount of magika to try and balance it out.
Crimson Layer Oct 20, 2013 @ 3:47pm
Have you considered making Wards actually level the Guard skill? It doesn't seem to from what I can tell, which makes the fact that Guard perks affect wards sort of... odd. Why have the extra effect for Wards but they don't level the skill? A bit counter intuitive there.
Aertyr  [author] Aug 27, 2013 @ 12:05pm
@Mulqueeny, Load the mods after this one and they will override mine. No need for a seperate version.

@Sacred Caedeus, It is another mod that edits the entry, wether the authout intended to or not. Please ensure this mod is loaded tword the bottom of the list. BOSS can be an effective tool in helping with load order issues.
Mulqueeny Aug 27, 2013 @ 10:44am
@Aertyr Any chance you can upload just the Ward spells as I already have mods for armor spells and it would conflict with them.
Crimson Layer Aug 26, 2013 @ 2:41am
For some reason the tooltip for Stability reads as the default and adding the perk doesn't grant the armor augment. I don't have any other mods like this so that isn't the problem. Any idea what's going on here?
Nuoli Aug 22, 2013 @ 1:12am
I'm really loving these mods you've made, but just wanted to throw one oddity, I just noticed, out there: the damage done with, example "healing hands", does not count toward skill progression in restoration. It is such a shame cause I'm having a blast with it.
XandreBlues Aug 19, 2013 @ 12:53am
Awesome, thanks! I'll give it another go!
Aertyr  [author] Aug 18, 2013 @ 11:46am
If you load Invested magic, or free wards AFTER this mod(E.G. Lower on the load order) it will work just fine.
XandreBlues Aug 18, 2013 @ 2:57am
no, it doesn't work with either invested magic or free wards.
too bad, really. unsubscribing.
XandreBlues Aug 18, 2013 @ 1:40am
Can't wait to try it out. (I'll report how well it works with invested magic as I have that as well).
Jannus Aug 11, 2013 @ 8:52am
can this be used with invested magic
Prometheus_Unbound Jun 9, 2013 @ 3:52am
Would this work with the mod Invested Magic?
Tilted Level May 17, 2013 @ 10:25pm
does blocking with a ward also give one blocking xp? say 50-50 restoration to blocking?
SevenBlueSeven Feb 8, 2013 @ 4:03pm
@Aertyr, yours is the best, simple, logical group of mods that I have found. I am really enjoying them. Thanks!

I've always had trouble playing my "priest" type character in Skyrim -- avoiding Destruction spells and entirely focusing on Bound Weapons + Alteration and Restoration -- so this is exactly what I have been looking for to make my playstyle more viable. Great job of balancing these skills and trees, and thank you for doing it! My only issue is that I have all of my perks planned out, based on vanilla, but now that this mod adds ward effects to the Blocking skill tree, I won't have the points or skill in blocking to get them. I wish that these effects had been added to perks in Restoration, for that reason, but oh well. The overall benefits of this mod outweight the tiny issue I have with it -- and I can FINALLY play the type of character I've always wanted to without a struggle. Thank you so much!
BloodEcho Ghoul Dec 28, 2012 @ 1:53pm
is there any mods that will completley change restoration so i can heal undead atronachs and machines just as much as normal beings
Koalabee Dec 15, 2012 @ 7:22am
@Aertyr Nvm, I fixed it. It was a problem with one of my downloaded armor mods not properly labeled as cloth in the creation kit
Koalabee Dec 14, 2012 @ 1:16pm
I also seem to have a problem with the mage armor perks not doing anyting, ive tested it with nothing on just to make sure and the dragonhide spell only gave me 125 armor, not the 500 armor the perk said i should get
Koalabee Dec 14, 2012 @ 12:45pm
im curious, how did you change the mage armor perk values? ive scoured the creation kit and cant seem to figure out how to do that:/
Namoy Nov 26, 2012 @ 7:32pm
Awesome concept, I wondered about those things myself for a while. Indeed I was doing a weird bound weapon/mage armour build and failing miserably before grabbing both your redux mods. However, I do have some comments and suggestions. First of all, there's a small issue with your decision to put ward perks under blocking. Thing is, unless you constantly carry a shield for half your game there's no way you're getting the second perk, as ward use counts towards restoration, not blocking (or so it has been happening with me).
I'm not sure which way would be best to fix this. You could either move ward levelling over to block or include the perk extensions on the original ward perks (such as your bound weapon additions). Maybe even make new ones in restoration.
Well the other comment is not really for this mod so I'll leave it where it belongs. Anyways, great job on those mods and thanks for them!
Heimdall313 Oct 25, 2012 @ 10:54am
Awesome, huge thanks for that. Looks like a lot of hard work and a great idea that all came together nicely. Love the buffs to the more defensive aspects of Skyrim's magic, and made my mage a lot more fun to play without just overpowering it.
Aertyr  [author] Oct 24, 2012 @ 6:30pm
Grand Healing will now also deal damage to undead(Sorry I missed this earlier). I also updated tooltips for clarity. Barring any bugs or future expansions this mod is in a complete state and I am happy with it. I will not be able to seperate the mod into seperate packs as it is just too much work at this point to go back and re-do everything(If you know of an easier way, please let me know how and I will seperate them then). Thanks for your support and I'll keep my eye on the comment section for Suggestions/Bug Reports.
Aertyr  [author] Sep 2, 2012 @ 9:36am
@All, Hey guys! I'll definitly be looking into all of your suggestions here in the near future. I've just been setting up a new computer and trying to get everything stable before I get modding again. Thanks for all the attention and suggestions! I'll try to do as many of them as I can!
Il Pane Aug 31, 2012 @ 12:12pm
Hi! Just subscribed to try the healing on undead, I hate them:P
I saw you where open for requests so I'll try one. Could you possibly make a standalone for the healing damage vs undead. I have search google and nexus but can't finde a mod that changes just that. Don't want to sound ungrateful but that would realy be nice of you:-)
Heimdall313 Aug 31, 2012 @ 2:13am
I adore your mods, this and the Bound Weapons Redux are a blast.
Could Grand Healing be added to the damage undead effect? I felt kinda dumb trying to kill a Draugr Deathlord with it. :(
Of course, it might kind of murder every Draugr in 10-15 feet of you plus you also out heal everything with it. Also does Necromage increase the damage dealt to undead by healing effects?
Cherokee Rose Aug 30, 2012 @ 2:51pm
I want to second that request. I'd love to be able to use both mods too.
Lord_Daemonar Aug 26, 2012 @ 8:43pm
I've been using the same mod that miragesabourin has - it's really awesome, and I highly recommend it to everyone. But I want both the block perk goodies - is there any way that you could collaborate with that programmer and make a version that permits the block skill to apply to shields, wards, AND those staves? :3
Aertyr  [author] Aug 24, 2012 @ 5:36am
@miragesabourin, Which mod is loaded last(e.g. lower on the load order) will have it's block perks be used. If your other mods NEEDS those perks to be used, load mine before it and they will be overrided. If not, load mine last. It's up to you decide which is better for you!

@Deathshroud, Yes, but I 'might' add some blocking exp to warding in the future. Time will tell.
ElliZarah Aug 23, 2012 @ 7:49pm
oooooh.... I wanna subscribe to this one, but the issue is that I've got a mod that adjusts the block perk tree: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=90376074 So I'm not entirely sure how that'll factor in to the adjustments made by this mod.
Deathshroud Aug 23, 2012 @ 5:47pm
Do you have to use a regular shield still to get Block skill up?
wurblewind Aug 17, 2012 @ 9:38am
Many thanks. Restoration is now indeed a valid school of magic. :P
Falling in Reverse fan Aug 4, 2012 @ 9:08am
You know i never used Wards ever since as you said it just didnt make sense but now that you made some changes Im gong to be using alot of more wards now Great Mod
El Fonz0 Jul 22, 2012 @ 6:00pm
To shorten what I said, could you make boots and gauntlets not affected by Mage Armor, or at least gauntlets? Because those has the same reasoning as the helmet.
That, and there aren't enough handwear that you can as a mage to use for enchanting while still having Mage Armor.
El Fonz0 Jul 21, 2012 @ 7:08am
I agree with mudcrabmerchant. I would love to be able to wear armored gloves/bracers/gauntlets and boots and still benefit from Mage Armor, if only because of the Gilded Wristguards, which looks amazing with the Arch-Mage's Robes, and to role-play a Vigilant of Stendarr.

Sure, having an armored helm, gauntlets, and boots can be overpowered, and if you use the pieces of the same set, say Elven, then it is equal in armor rating to the chest piece.
But it's not much if you don't exploit it like that. Just wear a Dragon Priest Mask and whatever gloves and boots you think looks good with your robes or choice.
igor_madg Jul 9, 2012 @ 9:05pm
great mod thanks, now alteration makes more sense and restoration gets less boring to use :P
