perfect with a nuclear reactor mod wich was at one point of the game in development because there are unused debug named materials that say uranium

is there a good way to remove radiation? I somehow ended up with 20 million+ radiation per tile in the middle of my base and im not sure how

I second the radiation as a light source idea - you could have it slowly deal damage or increase sickness as long as a dupe is exposed based on intensity, and once they move out of range it stops. Then they become infected with radiation sickness over some threshold, and start to die until they receive treatment.

@Mr.EggBirt do you mean like the fusion reactor mod or something more extensive? Either way, nuclear is one of the things I have been hoping to see in this game for ages :D

Best system to piggy back on for radiation would be a copy of heat simulation, modifying thermal capacity and -conductivity to simulate material density. vacuum zero absorption, neutronium infinite. and materials iradiated heat up, the reason we use fission for energy via steam turbines...

This mod makes me want to make a nuclear reactor mod.

Just wondering.... would it be possible to make radiation work as different type of light source?... as it would be much more accuratelly simulated by this and not germs mechanic. This way you could make some materials transparent or only semi and so on....

Radiation suits Iodine pills and if you wanna go totally wonky rad x and radaway :P

Yes they can be treated. Right now all you need is another dupe doctoring them, but I will probably add Iodine pills or something in the future

How does this compatible with Disease Restored? I mean, DR do something with germs and Duplicant immune system, so with both mods enabled, both will work as authors expected?

Aand is there a minimum germ count before dupes can be infected? Having dupes get radiation poisoning from an unlucky 6 germs would suck. Maybe have Space Exposure slowly remove radiation as it, ah, radiates out?

And can dupes be treated if they ARE exposed?

@Guardian Angel: Lead tiles and lead doors will absorb radiation and stop it from spreading beyond. Lead pipes will similarily prevent the content's radiation from leaking out into the environment (or shield the content in a radiated environment).
Atmo Suits should allow dupes to work inside a radiated environment

Iiis the lead shielding included? Does anything made of lead work? Does lead have anti-radiation antiseptic properties?

Okay, but how do you actually have dupes work around radiation without succumbing to death? Would atmo suits do? Enviro-suits?
