this seems biased for the right side as the sout-east side has a lot of trees. far mor than the west

There should be a "Mods" section from the main menu.

- subscribe
- wait for it to download
- start up civ v
- go to Mods section
- check "Shotgun Duel (v 1)" along with any other mods you want to use
- Click "Next" and wait for it to load
- Click Singleplayer
- Set up the game. Make sure to set Shotgun as the map and enable scenario
