It's not possible to specify spawn chance, every vehicle file has the same chance to spawn.
The only real way is to create duplicate vehicle files for the vehicles you wish to be more common, which I have done to make modern vehicles appear more. But unless you are willing to create literally hundreds of vehicle files then having such a low spawn chance isn't possible.

yeah exactly, but if you make it like 1 in 100,000 to spawn the spawn chance is so low it wont matter and it will add more variety to gameplay. i would really like this. (please)

Horse carts still stop spawning eventually as they simply cause way too much traffic congestion if they keep spawning into the modern era with faster vehicles, since at that point they are basically slow moving roadblocks.

Its completely separate, this is for traffic vehicles, the in game one is for player vehicles

You choose vehicle set when you start a new game or load an existing one, under the custom settings.

And horse carts are gone by 1920.

I've looked into removing end dates from stations but it's not simple due to the more complex modular stations. Best thing to do is pause the game, change the year to one where you can build you desired station, then reset the year back to where it should be and unpause.

I dont think that will work, the issue isn't the non european cars, its that i'm editing the cars at all. I think.

Ok, so (I didn't look through the files of your mod so far and into them):

Let's say I want to create a game with European region, it could be possible, if I copy the concerning file and delete the non-European cars, keeping the original as backup, it might possibly maybe work, right? Just as an experiment by thought.... I should give it a try next weekend. What could I loose XD

After some experimenting I don't think so. I do have a theory though that it's due to how the game filters vehicles for different regions. It seems like it may be loading the modded files into the game, then searching for the original files to filter, but since they have been replaced it crashes.

Hi Sparky, do you thinke there might be a fix for it to run without set vehicle settings to all? Or does it seem to be impossible? Buildings and streets mods run, though...

So it seems like setting the vehicle set to 'All' solves the issue. Something odd around how the game filters vehicles into sets thats causing the issue and it doesn't appear to be modable.

Okay, upon further investigation it appears that vehicle regions apply some sort of filter to traffic vehicles, I'm gonna have to investigate further. But I think setting vehicle region to 'All' should stop any crashes.

I do have a suspicion that there is a reason for some odd spawning dates on certain vehicles in the base game. For example cars from 1930 start spawning in 1900, a 1980s lada starts spawning in the 50s etc. There might be a reason for this

Can you give me more details? Starting year, vehicle region, map region etc. All this mod does is change start and end date for vehicles so I'm having a hard time working out why there is an issue.

same problem here ... 20+ mods, if i turn yours "on" the game crash after the loading screen. i can see the map for 3 seconds. :)

If you change dates in sandbox you need to wait a little while for older vehicles to despawn and be replaced with newer ones.

i have no crashes - but i still have horse cars on the roads in 2050 :(

does this not work if i am in sandbox and change the date by myself from 1850 to 2100?

I have, and on different maps. Same issue. Now I have all 20+ Mods turned back on without any issues, but when I put yours in with/without other Mods, it yours that CTD's. As stated earlier, I'm just going to pass on it. It's not THAT important for me. Sorry.

I have no idea why it's happening for you, since it runs perfectly for me with no other mods and all it does is change dates in vehicle config files, there shouldn't be an issue here. Try with a clean brand new game.

OK, the difference is noted, but while it crashes for me, and apparently someone else, I'll just have to pass on it. I've tried it on several maps without Mods, and as soon as I un-pause it, it's CTD land for me.:cgpout:

I think you're missing the point here, Urban Games mod removes the end year from PLAYER vehicles. This mod removes the end year from TRAFFIC vehicles. It's a different thing entirely. And it still doesn't crash for me.

I printed it as it appears in the game. You added the word Traffic, but it appears to be the exact same thing, with the exception of the last half of your description. I just wouldn't use yours, and the in-game one, because of the high chance of a crash.

I don't know why it crashes without any other Mod installed, but it does. I'll test again on other maps.

I've been using this since game launch with no crashes at all so I'm gonna have to ask you to clarify. All it does is change the start and end dates of traffic vehicles in their config files, there is no reason for it to crash. Also, where does this mod exist by the dev team? I cant see it, they only have one for player vehicle end year. And I dont know what you mean by "start movie" or the "break menu".

WARNING:

As stated by: Ickeᴼᴿᴵᴳᴵᴻᴬᴸ 3, This Mod crashes the game. I also tried this Mod by itself, with no other Mods in place. I can get in the game, but once I un-pause it, it crashes.

Keep in mind that the game does have this Mod by the Dev Team, already in place. I suggest you use that one, until this one gets a fix.:hammerscrew::md_smile:

A tweak that delays the introduction of 1930s vehicles and enables spawning of horse carriages until the 1920s, while maintaining a realistic end year for each vehicle would be nice.
