Also I have no clue why but for some reason after the most recent update repentance plus for some reason despite the fact i have multiple sound track menu mods on they wont show up anymore

I keep having an issue where the soundtrack is reset to the 'default' soundtrack every time I enter a new room. If I set it to the flash soundtrack for example the next room I enter will be flash, but if I look in the mod menu it says it's set to default again and if I walk into a new room it will play the default soundtrack again. Is this a bug or could another mod be causing this to happen?

ztx the 'more custom soundtracks' add-on is designed to do stuff just like that

DeadlyApple that issue is commonly caused by having the AB+ version of MMC when playing on Repentance, basically the issue is that the menu music as removed from the game entirely by some mod, if it's not the wrong version of MMC check your mods to see if you have any that replace the games music list (a music.xml file in a resources folder)

The intro cut scene dialogue plays throughout the main menu even after I skip it, and the main menu music never plays. Does anyone else have this problem?

I was waiting for a soundtrack shuffle mod for such a long time. Thank you for making this.
I got a question, though. I was to shuffle between Rebirth, Antibirth and flash version soundtracks, but I was flash soundtrack to appear only in rooms, which were present in original flash version, I don't want flash tracks to occur in, for example, Burning Basement. Can this be configured somehow? Or maybe you'd consider an option like this? This is the only missing piece for me here.

Mod works great! Only issue is when entering a boss room after the cutscene there is always a pretty loud pop that occurs. Would that be from an incompatible soundtrack mod?

Still getting the issue with Epiphany and this mod. Disabled the Callback mod, and its still happening. I have Repentogon, so it shouldn't be happening, is that right? How do I fix this?

tested it for a bit and seemed fine, switched to MMC/rep+ and the epiphany menu music would restart after a couple seconds (which made sense as MMC uses a timer to check for run intros finishing due to API quirks, it also adds a bit of extra time to account for people with slower pcs and giving music time to load) but otherwise was fine, I was about to ask if you tried checking debug console and disabling other mods but then started a run immediately after loading the epiphany menu and found the issue

when you pick a character the epiphany mod reloads the first floor (which can change its type) this makes soundtrack menu start the floor music, then MMCs timer goes off and it tries to fade in the floor music of the original floor type, which is either the wrong music or already playing, which can cause a bug in the game where fading an audio file over itself sometimes makes it go silent until you play a different song

I'll update MMC to cancel the timer if the epiphany menu is open

It seems like whenever I start a run as a tarnished character from the Epiphany mod, something breaks and the custom music completely either stops working, or just plays the menu music. Very sad :(

are you using MMC or Repentogon? are there any error messages if you open the debug console? have you tried making steam get a fresh download? (unsubscribe, run game until menu loads, check if the mod is still in your mods folder, delete it if it's still there, close the game, resubscribe)

Hello, now i'm not sure if this is just or me, or if it might be my mod setup, but my music rarely... happen's. To elaborate: most of the time when i'm playing the game, the music just won't play for a whole run. I've turned setting's on and off, swapped soundtrack's, and other stuff, but it doesn't seem to work. It's still a good mod, but most of my run's are just complete silence (except for sfx)

Adding on to my previous post. There's been a couple times as well where the boss intro music just doesn't play, which didn't happen before the this update.

So per my previous post, I figured out that custom stage API was the reason my songs would keep resetting when I went into special rooms. That problem is fixed, only now when I enter a special room, the special music for the room plays. Upon leaving the room, the songs continues to play indefinitely until I enter another special room which will then play that music indefinitely throughout the floor.

I also noticed that when entering a new floor the floor intro music plays all the way through and THEN the stage floor music plays, that may be a base game thing though, not sure.

Think I figured out what's happening, I've updated the mod, does the bug still happen if you force steam to download the latest version?
(unsubscribe, delete mod off your computer, run game to title screen, close game, resubscribe)

I had two ideas, not sure how possible they are.
1. Would it be possible to make music tied to progression in achievements / unlocks? Like say, you unlock the alt path so all music changes on the normal path to x since that's a big moment in terms of progression? I saw the mod that ties soundtracks to specific characters so I was curious.

2. What about being able to filter shuffles? Like for instance being able to specify that I want boss theme 1 to shuffle between Rebirth, Antibirth, Flash but I only want Hush to shuffle between Antibirth and Rebirth?

I've been testing in both repentogon and rep+ but it's just not happening for me, I'm gonna need a bit more info, are you using rep+ or repentogon? (if repentogon does opening the debug console and entering 'lua StopJingles()' do anything?) is it a particular type of room or just any with its own music? any errors in the debug console? also could be that you have an older version and might be worth trying deleting your local copy of the mod so steam downloads the latest one

Sometimes when I enter a special room, the music for that room persists across the floor until i toggle soundtracks or enter another room with special music. I am running Stage API but these issues are occurring on vanilla floors.

it's not something the custom floor devs would be able to set up, its more just how stageAPI itself works, I did try some potential workarounds but didn't get any good results, I do have a couple more ideas to try but I kinda doubt they'll work

@Nato Potato That's a shame. Is that something that the other custom floor mods would have to do themselves? Making continuous mode compat with them? I'm mostly wondering because I'm trying to create a seamless experience for my friend's run through isaac and I want to include custom floors (like Mortis) because they genuinely feel official in quality.

open config menu, go to antibirth+++, enable passive mode
if you really need passive mode off you could open antibirth+++ main.lua and delete the code from line 292 to line 313, or you could ask the mod dev to add an option for it in the config menu, they already have options for other alternate music choices so it shouldn't be difficult

oh no I was just saying that the continuous floor music feature can't work while in custom floors, even if you had soundtrack menu music playing in them rather than the floors custom music
(theres a setting for stageAPI in the 'other options' section that sets whether stageAPI or soundtrack menu has priority for playing music)

have done some testing and made an update, continuous floor music should no longer be interfered with if you're running stageAPI (though it can't really work on custom floors, which is only relevant if you've set soundtrack menu to take priority)

I just passed over 1000 hours in Isaac, and at least 500 of them are because of this mod. Absolute game-changer, and glad it's still being cared for after all this time.

if the music is resetting when you leave a room even when the rooms music is the same as the rest of the floor, that would make me think that another mod is trying to control the music and is detecting that you entered a regular room and setting the floor music to play

the library thing I'm not sure, it could be caused by the intro and loop of the song not matching up with bitrate/samplerate and can be fixed by putting them both through a ? to Ogg converter and having the same quality settings
it could also be caused by fading a song over itself (if the game is playing a song and you try to crossfade in the same song, it might detect that the song id is the same and do nothing, but if it's a different song id using the same audio file it tries to fade in for about a second and then just breaks), if it is that then this also would tell me that something other than soundtrack menu is trying to play music

do these issues still happen for your soundtracks if antibirth+++ is disabled?

I looked into my music restarting issue a bit more and it turns out it's all of my soundtracks that reset. Although, antibirth resets every time and ones like RYS only do it sometimes. It happens whenever I leave a special room like the shop or secret room. It happens with the item room as well but only when I leave the FIRST time, and it doesn't reset because of the jingle considering if I hangout in the item room upon first entry, the song doesn't reset until I leave. Also, my library theme plays for about 1 second and then abruptly shuts off. Any ideas?

if its different sounds from the same soundtrack then that's probably just the variants, some soundtracks have variant tracks (eg the original antibirth modpack had more than 4 item room jingles, but the game only has 4, so the soundtrack menu implementation gives each of the 4 item room jingles a couple different versions to pick from), if you don't want variants to be used you should be able to disable them in the config menu the same way as hiding soundtracks from shuffle

having it play an antibirth jingle when you've selected rebirth is weird though, I'm doing some testing but not getting that, did you set ALL of the treasure room jingles to rebirth? treasure room jingles are picked randomly so if one of the other treasure jingles was still set to antibirth it could be playing that one sometimes

my soundtrack is on custom, I don't have it set to exclusively flash since I like some from antibirth more, but anyways, it's more like the secret and treasure jingles have more than one sound associated to one option, e.g jingle one being set to antibirth has 2 different jingles and often swaps between the two. however, I've also noticed sometimes that it'll just play jingles I haven't selected either. i have jingle 1 set to rebirth, yet it played a sound from antibirth?

different treasure room and secret room jingles sometimes play now, even though a few days ago I had no issue with hearing different jingles. I have my secret jingle set to flash, and it swaps between 2 of them instead of the one I'm used to. Is there any way to fix this?

antibirth+++ does do some custom things with the music mod callback, but i think those features would be disabled if you have passive mode on, other than that I'm not sure why it would be ignoring the continuous mode

The antibirth+++ tracks consistently restart despite the continuous music setting being on. Other soundtracks like RYS don't have that issue. Is this something I should have brought to your attention or should I post this on the antibirth+++ mod page?

From further experimentation with it seemingly tracks get disabled entirely and dont work on random, ill try to uninstall and reinstall some things and ill tell you if it fixes anything :3
