Update?

Can you make it so that in custom nations you can use the Child of Destiny for the character?
Sleeeepykai Dec 20, 2019 @ 7:06am
I see.
LordVarangian  [author] Dec 20, 2019 @ 7:01am
Unfortunately not

Potentially I might see to that, but is there any way to add the flag by modifying the save though?
LordVarangian  [author] Dec 20, 2019 @ 6:27am
You can make your own command that gives the heir that flag if needed

Is there any way that a person can modify like a save to give themselves this flag perhaps, to be able to launch the event chain and thus grant themselves a Child of Destiny? Looking to experiment with it.

In the on_actions file, there is an effect that your heir at 1% chance will get that heir flag. That flag then is used for the events to be triggered

I've been fairly confused on how this event works; its probably because of my noob brain, but I get confused at where the "Set_heir_flag" stuff and all the other things surrounding it are like, located. I'm just simply trying to learn and understand on how EU4 mods function so if anyone can help me understand that stuff it'd be appreciated.

Seconded on Ulm.

I *could* make that a small submod, since I generally want to have the mod as it is right now, to represent the CK2 Child of Destiny

Just a small meme suggestion : if ulm becomes a monarchy (and they are still below 150 dev) they should instantly get a CoD heir
LordVarangian  [author] Dec 15, 2019 @ 12:50pm
They shouldn't get it, since they are above 150 dev most of the time
TurtleShroom Dec 15, 2019 @ 11:29am
You should set it so that a Lucky Nation or starting Great Nation doesn't get it. They are OP enough.

Could you maybe add some sort of CB, to reflect the invasion cb in CK2? Still, interesting mod.
LordVarangian  [author] Dec 11, 2019 @ 8:29am
They do get a unique trait
Lolz Dec 11, 2019 @ 8:27am
Maybe once the Child of Destiny gets on the throne, the nation could get minor modifiers until their death? Just something like (any or all of these) "+5% Morale of Armies, +5% National Tax Modifier, -5% Core-Creation Cost, -5% Aggressive Expansion Impact, -5% Province Warscore Cost, +0.5 Yearly (Legitimacy/Horde Unity/Meritocracy/Devotion/Republican Tradition)"

I haven't made an event/100% guarantee way for this mod, so your only bet is being blessed by RNJesus
LexiBuzzyBea Dec 10, 2019 @ 1:01pm
is there an event or way to guarantee getting the COD?
SirEquinox Dec 10, 2019 @ 2:50am
this is destiny, that your mod in homepage for recommended
Rochus Dec 8, 2019 @ 4:49pm
Ok, thanks.
LordVarangian  [author] Dec 8, 2019 @ 12:50pm
The starting event ID is cod_event.1, though keep in mind that your child must be the Child of Destiny for it to work properly
Rochus Dec 8, 2019 @ 9:09am
What is the starting event?
