Try to make this small island look like a WW2 Greek island and it could be great for german paratroopers' invasion... :) It represents this possibility and options as it is a small island, but of strategic importance on the way to Greece. A small piece of paradise in the Mediterranean sea...

I agree with annamor1959, try and stay away from modern buildings. Gives a little bit more versatility IMO. Fantastic start though my man, keep it up!

if you ever do add buildings, don't add futuristic building, they will ruin the island asthetic

The PMC ultimate terrain tutorial
WorldMachine, L3DT, SFlora, Gimp
A week fiddling around.
Maybe a month or two prior getting to grips with terrain builder and nuances with terrains.
