This mod is the reason I bought this game, just like I bought SD 44 because of the predecessor. I hope it gets updated.

I believe the developers have undermined the mod by making DLCs a mandatory requirement, which I find incredibly frustrating. I suspect the mod creators grew weary of constantly updating it to keep pace with the developers' changes. This mod was the sole reason I played the game; it's so good that returning to the base game is impossible once you've experienced it. I even played some multiplayer sessions with one of the modders about six years ago.

You should be mad at the devs.

Start downvoting this MOD it hasnt been updated in more than seven Months why leave a broken MOD in workshop? if youve not got the time to fix it? Take it down. I was told about this 2 months ago and have been waiting patiently untill today,guess ill never play this Mod a bit like it will not get updated again!.

Is it possible to take the mod files and overwrite the main game with them? Unfortunately, I don't have all the mods and don't see the point in buying them all just to use them.
Since I only play the Army General campaigns solo anyway, I'm mainly interested in the artillery/mortars with their intelligent (cheating) counterfire.

well.. it was updated Jan 5, plus the guy probably has his own life too and isn't 24/7 in front of the screen, just saying, I don't think he is a robot

This mod made the game so much better. Super said its out of date. if they do update never going to allow this game to update again lol.

I found a temporary workaround (all credit to user Chervenko in the Unlimited Units comment section, I just edited instructions for this mod)

1.) Enter your game

2.) Look at your bottom left to find current version (main menu)
(Latest version is v.144789)

3.) Open your workshop folder
Example : xxxxx\SteamLibrary\steamapps\workshop\content\919640\1920661493

919640 - Steel Division 2
1920661493- Red Storm ID

4.) Open Config.ini (save an extra untouched copy to desktop first incase something messes up)

5.) Replace Old Version (ModGenVersion = xxxxx) with current version from in-game main menu
Example: (Latest version - 144789) would be ModGenVersion = 144789

So if the game get updates. Just look the current version ( 2nd step) and edit in workshop config file (5th step)

6.) Activate mod in-game at mod centre

get a dlc cracker (steam autocracker) save some $

Yeah it's impossible to get back to the game, load up the mod just to realize you have to purchase DLCs worh hundreds that you don't have.

Uninstall the game, wait 6 months and want to try again just to repeat with MORE DLCs.

Was a fun mod couple of years ago though when I did own all of the DLCs..

big recomendations to the mod as it is filled with content and comprahensive changes with all explained in the guid , witch makes adjusting way easyer

The GER's INF squads fighting method were based on the MG42 or the MG34, but they worked like trash when they are fighting with Allied INFs, even enemies were out of shields. now only 20mm or Big cannons can stop the allied INF groups. and this makes the German Tanks much busier to engage the battle. maybe they need some buff.

I will update the mod but as i don't have much time with work, I'll do it in the WE this week and i'll try to finish it as soon as possible. Mind that it could take time.
