Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work with ships assigned to stations.
I wish there were any easy way to rename a bunch of manually selected ships with a simple right click option.
NPCの名前を変更することができますか?
:-)
I was hoping to have my whole list of ships numbered as long as they were the same.
I remember such mods on X3TC but my memory may be playing me.
I created an object with [%1], used it as template, checked the numbering checkbox but no. I am missing something I think.
No need to hurry, take your time and anyway thanks for the great mod so far!
then you have to choose these object there.. then it will give you something like this: [1] or {12}
i will upload today? or tomorrow another update where i changed a lot and fixed some bugs. also i will update the description ;-)
But i encountered some issues regarding the numbering as it won´t number and only "prints" the "number sourrounding", also it seems that upon save the order number reverts to set one -1
i.e. i want to name 4 miners, therefore i put 3 of them under command of the 4th and initiate multirename on the commander the output with my settings reads then:
[Tag] Type Model [Tag] Type Model instead of [Tag] Type Model Number on the subs the commander won´t get the number "duplicate" and only reads [Tag] Type Model
I tried several combinations but i have no clue what this number surrounding stands for!? May you enlighten me please...
sorry for belated answering
seen an option in your numbering mod which exactly does the trick so would appreciate if you could consider adding it here aswell, just a tiny number at the end checkbox
And may i also ask for an option to include the "loadout" ( the ones that could be named and saved during ship creation and there also set as name) into the naming convention if possible else an option which won´t override the name already present
Thanks anyways for your effort! keep up the good work
Alternatively, or additionally, it would be nice to be able to store which object is used to set the tag. Right now it is always defaulting to the renaming object itself.
SIS Boa MF-4056-C (Sanguna Industries Ship Model Boa Medium Freighter #4056 Cargotype Container)
SIS Alligator MM-6298-G (Sanguna Industries Ship Model Alligator Medium Miner #6298 Cargotype Gas)
SIN Cobra MC-9406-AF (Sanguna Industries Navy Ship Model Cobra Medium Combatship #9406 Role Anti-Fighter)
SIN Chimera SC-2780-B (Sanguna Industries Navy Ship Model Chimera Small Combatship #2780 Role Bomber)
It would be super neat if i could predetermine naming schemes and than choose one of them in the shipyard/wharf as part of the loadout, though i doubt that would be possible.
SIS Wyvern Mount Everest LM-7436-S
SIS Buffalo Chicago LF-8273-C
SI Sakurayuki XLC-0001-CV
SI Kurokami LC-0002-DD
Though this naming scheme would require multiple name lists, so the Placeholder would prolly look something like this [Name='list'] and defining a naming scheme would likely look like this:
SIS [S(hort)Model] [Name='list'] LM-[XXXX]-G (number of Xs representative of how many digits the number is supposed to have)
Anyway, i'm going to stop rambling about my hopes and dreams now and i don't think that you actually want to write a script like that, but i've put it out here, on the off-chance that you are actually willing to write it.
Have a nice Day :)
Some guidance as to how to activate this mod would be appreciated.
