Yes I can sadly not update the mod anymore due to how CK2 modding works.

If I remember right, the different forts do have some different buildings.

Incomplete & dead, ok. I was wondering what are the actual differences between the 4 types of forts as they all seem to have the same exact buildings.

I am moving to CK3 so hope it will get better there.

It's possible to build forts without the horse lords DLC.

If it does require Horse lords, it's probably good to update the page to reflect that, don't want people to be confused about it.

Ah yes, that was the thing I was talking about when I said "I working on how to make the forts match my vision for them, but so far im hitting a bit of a rock." As Culture/Religion conversion cannot be applied to a building, sadly.

Hey man thanks for the ideas.
I have planed to add different stats to the different forts, and with more building specifically for the type of forts.
I working on how to make the forts match my vision for them, but so far im hitting a bit of a rock.
But the plans are there,

hey, currently the 4 fort variants all do the same thing. (+20% garrison) Thats why I suggest different effects from different forts. Basically specialize the forts for certain tasks:

1. Occupation Fort: -2% revolt risk (maybe additional fort buildings to increase this)

2. Border Fort: increases Fort level and garrison (by a lot, normal fort garrisons are really weak)

3. Garrison Fort: movement speed +20% (armies can resupply along the way , making them faster)

4. Internment Camp: reduced build time by around 10% (to represent the additional workers, maybe and upgrade that increases revolt risk by 0.5% per level and reduces build time further)

Eh.. Hello.. This was working perfectly with Game of Thrones Mod but recently when i build a Fort and then choose to build any of the Fort types like Garrison Fort etc, I do not get any other building that come after the base fort construction..

Does this make forts survive being sieged? I've been using the Better Forts mod, which makes them useful, but a complete waste if they're sieged even once.

Hey Kagora2, for now they there is no difference, it is a part im working one for Phase 3,
were they have different building, that is only for them.
Since im busy with shcool I have not have much time to work on the mod.
I hope to make it up to you guys in the future, tho I hope you still enjoy it.

First off, thanks for the long comment and the support.
I do have tried to test out how the modifier is applied, but I could not get a 100% clear answer.
As to you "nitpick" I have thought about it before I updated the mod, and there is a plan to make the moat able to be upgraded further.

Ah okay, so it is intentional for the moment! Fair enough. From some more playing around, I'm unsure if some of the Fort modifiers do anything... I can't say for sure if the Local Movement Modifier or Disease Resistance seems to work. Its possible they might, and the game simply can't display it, but I seem to recall checking the Hospital for Disease Resistance, and it didn't seem to benefit from the Fort at all.

This is also just a personal nitpick, but I feel that having some of the building chains only having a single tier, seems a bit of wasteful space, like the Moat. While more Fort Level is nice, I'd personally like to see that building chain go further just so it isn't a 'build one and done'. I know this mod is still in testing, but I certainly enjoy the concept thus far! Nice to have Forts that don't fold in a week.

Well yes the 4 forts does not do anything specific at this momment.
It is planed that they do, with some extra buildings specific to the 4 forts.

Trying out the new update, and I have to ask what the choice actually seems to do? I did some testing with, and without HIP's gameplay changes, and the 4 Fort types seem to be basically the same. Which might be intentional at this point, I suppose! I noticed on the Garrison Fort at least, one of the buildings is registered up as a code name. I don't have it handy, but it included arsenal in the name...

It is now updated, and forts will no longer be deleted if you build anything in the count.

To author, the defines are saved in .lua format, not .txt.
