oddly enough i initially look at this as extremely lore-unfriendly, but the more i've played with it the more it seems to fit in. art isnt as bad as people say it is. fight is usually pretty easy but its unique. the real pain comes from the crazy dungeons leading up to it. pretty good mod.

Unlike the person below me, i found Doomsday fine visually. Mechanically he is underwhelming. The dungeon is objectively one of the worst things ever. Not a balance thing, but by design it's a travesty. Doomsday could benefit from a LITE version, making his encounter an exclusive boss fight not requiring a dungeon to traverse. Shifting the focus solely on him, giving the player a fight to plan and prepare for, implying to better balancing and more fun engagement.

Otherwise there's just random rooms and hallways that are disconnected and inaccessible, along with a short slog dungeon with a weird door gimmick(?) to a 6/10 boss..And yeah, it honestly sucks to not be able to remove this mod. Do i recommend it? For a throwaway save sure. On a serious save with dozens to hundreds of weeks maybe? No... just no

How I regret downloading this mod, now it's baked into my save.

The sounds of Doomsday quite bad and unfit to DD. The boss itself looks very out of place, low quality, with dumb animations that are laughable. For example he jumps into your heroes as if he was divebombing a pool... what?

On the other end he does almost no damage so the fight becomes a snoozefest...

I might come up with a way to delete this mod, if I do, I'll upload it.

干你娘,最后一次打这boss为6级,打不过还要毁你小镇,还容易坏档。关里怪全是40%+防御的,boss又肉又有65%的防御,虽然打召唤物可以减防,但召唤物也是肉得一B,打到后面boss上千的百分比增益,奖励又少,打牛魔

Leaving this for the people who are thinking of downloading this mod:
It IS very beatable vanilla, you just need armor piercing, high dodge and healing, stress comes after.

You cannot remove this mod so use it in a disposable save or a save dedicated to testing this mod.

The dungeons that come with this mod are absolute DOGSHIT not even gonna sugar coat it. They dont even let you explore. Most rooms that SEEM to connect with corridors dont actually connect with corridors and cannot be accessed. This doesnt softlock you as somehow the road to the boss is always open but its a major mistake.

Still, this is a mod that adds content so overal good! :praisesun:

Don't play this unless you have broken mods. The boss and the custom dungeons are some of the worst I've ever seen.

Oh, and also there is no "Remover" mod for Doomsday, am I right?
Due to limitations of modding you can't remove mods which contain roaming bosses, because your save just won't load. Usually roaming bosses come up with special "remover" patch which basically simulates roaming boss, which allows you to safely remove original roamer and then the patch itself. Could you create such patch for Doomsday, since currently there are none for Doomsday in the workshop?

Could you make Doomsday first encounter require completion of the first Farmstead mission? Currently you can complete all Doomsday fights without even entering Farm thus somewhat breaking progression and getting a lot of shards. Also this will serve as a somewhat better introduction to the incursion of Doomsday and other enemies from the farm.
The fight itself looks great, however minor criticism I have is his free skill "Doomsday Comes", which he uses every turn. For sone reason it can crit. Not only this is somewhat inconsistent with base game, since skills that don't do damage can't crit, but also it creates a layer of rng, since skill is supposed to gradually ramp up in stress damage. Currently it is somewhat hard to track, since he can occasionally dish out way more stress than it should thanks to crits. There isn't even an obvious indicator of crit, except voice-over, since we can't see damage.
I love the mod and I hope that you will adress this issues soon!

I've seen some people on Youtube beat Doomsday. So, maybe you could get tips from their videos. Thet did a few in Season 4, I believe.

Like man some undodgable stuff like enrage 1 and 2 at 300ACC or doomsday come being crit valid are too much,at least make it something you can manage with dodges,specially on the early/mid dungeons,100% stun riposte on first dungeon is a lot.

But yeah just venting here,dude took my trinkets and chars,I'm copin don't worry too hard about it lmao!

The boss basically is fine,but its the numbers that are cranked up too high for me.

Yeah welp since I can't remove mid save, I'm just gonna nerf him,140% stress is just not fun,no matter how many "stress heal skills" exist,him enraging more than once per fight is legit stupid,I don't.get.it.

Why 30% stress if he can do it multiple time SAME TURN ?
Why if the whole crutch of it is blight,WHY DOES HE CURE HIMSELF? His Crystals are useless.
Its so badly designed on this,I'm nerfing the stress to the ground so I can enjoy actually fighting this thing without wasting turns.

I really do 10 fights FILLED with stressers to get to him to fight this? Just more Stress all day?
I legit love your other works but that one is just unfair,there are other "very hard" bosses on the workshop,but none revolve around the hardest to handle mechanic THAT BAD.

It legit feel like I'm playing DD2 with the tediousness

I don't expect any changes since its been a long time,but I felt like giving my feedback ,its legit is stressful to lose to this one,it doesn't feel good.

Bro wtf is this boss fight vs doomsday, worst fight i played on a game, so fkin boring, extremaly large, and annoyoing, change that boss fight, maybe do that he only can have 1 crystal , and only 1 turm maybe, is so bad this fight:steamthumbsdown:

everything is original and interesting, but boss fight.... bad.
doomsday and crystals just buffs and heals over and over, and only once per 4 rounds actually attacks with punch or meteor fall, instead of stress dmg or summon crystals.

this is really boring and not interesting

Please tell me, does your mod affect the need for a character level when entering the dungeon? I have installed several mods, including this one, and my level 3 hero does not want to go to the green dungeon, although there were no problems before.

Doomsday mod is challenging and I have to select 4 heroes who can debuff Doomsday's SPD: Paracausalist (mod), abomination, Powder Keg (mod), and Bogatyr (mod). Those heroes happen to create a good team against Doomsday and other enemy battles have high SPD.

But this mod has a bug make you unable to return the dungeon room that you pass by or fought the enemy. And the trinkets are only affect against Doomsday so I'm unsubscribe for those two reasons.

I think what he means that the dungeon roaming id can't be removed if you're trying to disable the mod in the hamlet it keeps crashing your save, but if you're in a different dungeon that Doomsday is not in and right before you return to the hamlet after you complete the quest, go to the main menu to the mod list and disable it, I think I did it safely with my old save and it doesn't even kill the save.

rchangel I am not 100% sure about that, but it possibly since there are unique character quirks. That is why it is recommended on a new save only. Good hunting!

actually now that I think about it, of the dozens of heroes that Ive lost to doomsday, not a single one was a deathblow from a physical attack, his damage is super low imo, but his insane stress dealt and sheer toughness make him extremely painful to fight if you cant nuke him down quickly

Ah OK, no problem. When I wrote that post, I was mainly frustrated with myself for not retreating to hamlet after winning against Doomsday. I've been playing this mod for years now and I love the challenge. It is just when the chain-action bug happens that I get a bit frustrated.

deadliftdead So sorry to hear that, very frustrating! in this case it is a bug in the base game that i can't fix. i have tried! In the monster AI both of those skills have a 999 round cooldown, but sometimes the AI ignores that rule and does the retrigger you encountered (changing the power dynamic), but other times it works perfectly and triggers only once. sadly there is nothing i can do to fix it. the game's coding has many oddities! it 100% should NOT do what it does in that cases.

I have some routine in killing him by now, but today I got demolished by a roaming doomsday with a jade hound addon. He appeared in the first corridor and did that old double/triple stacking of enraged and inflamed thing he does. I did win but three of my guys were in heart attack recovery. I tried to reach the next room, since you cannot rest in the starting room, but stumbled into another encounter where the three afflicted characters died. I should just have returned to the hamlet.:(
That being said, wasn't the chain enraged/inflamed supposed to be a bug when this mod came out? I know it's always been there, but it feels like both actions should just be a one off action marking a phase transition.

Samar Check for the roaming icon. You should be able to ID if a random chance, and random is only in a few areas. Sorry for your Doomed expedition. It can be painful.

MDS-95 Sometimes, if not scouted, a boss room can appear like plain room. Don't go for the crystals-- they are a red herring and will delay turns, or they can be used strategically as emergency healing on destroyed. You can also install extra trinket mods for advantage. This very very hard battle has been won by many combinations of heroes. I can't say that I would ever recommend this mod. The Doomsday fight is uninteresting, either a damage race with an armor-piercing party, or an extended slug fest with anyone else. Kill a crystal, beat him up during the debuff, repeat as necessary. He seems to be designed around this; his damage begins fairly lackluster, but the longer his crystals are allowed to buff him, the more of a threat he becomes. His ability to clear DoTs and debuffs and heal simultaneously isn't overpowered so much as it eliminates a variety of strategies one could use against him (stacking DMG received or Crit Received instead of Armor Piercing, PROT lowering, etc.), creating a fight that just feels tedious or overly simple. In addition, the final quest either bugged out for me and did not display that Doomsday's room was in fact the boss of the quest, or instead displays the standard Battle tile. It was properly labeled in text, though.

Report a bug in the file "doom_custom.town.6.mash.darkest".
The two "stall" lines must have the total monster size lower than 2 (the total size can be 2 but cannot be 3 or 4 or even more), otherwise when reinforcement is triggered, the game will crash on this stall mash, and result in a black screen crash written with "invalid rank" (rank overflow).

sorry but how can I disable this mod? every time i try to disable it and leave the estate game crash, i think problem is in crystalline trinkets from doomsday but there no way to discard them. i hope you fore your helpe (sorry English is not my native language).

@killrain well there's a chance to find the other two crystalline pet trinkets if you have pet mod enabled, they just occasionally appear in long champion dungeon.

i missed the secret room in dungeon 2 and 3,i assume it contained two more crystalline pets,does it mean i've lost my chance to get them forever or does the wandering doomsday have a chance to drop them???

I can't recommend this mod after finally beating olivine. The combat is bizarre and unclear, and the overall tediousness of the final hamlet dungeon is simply not very fun.

Hello, I just wiped on the third quest in the chain with max virtues and all the related trinkets that assist in damage etc. This is fine, however, will something happen to my hamlet /heroes if I don't defeat him in a certain amount of weeks? I need to build up my resolve levels on the heroes that will be able to defeat him, however this will be my third attempt and now I don't have any heroes that will be able to deal with him as well as the long slog of minor encounters leading up to the boss encounter.

I love this mod, I been using it in all of saves and it quickly became one of my favorites. That said, I´ve noticed that the doomsday related quirks that said "one hero per roster" get replaced by other common quirks, is that supposed to happen or are they supposed stay locked like the prismatic quirks?

Ever think about making Colours of Madness Skins? Modding catalog is really lacking the whole "Warped Heros" vibe. And you are damn good at the whole crystal thing.

People may complain that he's extremely difficult, but he's still much easier than Doomsday in the comics. :P
Would be kind of interesting if you had him say the line, "Must I become a monster again?" after you defeat him. Rarely.
It would be a homage to the Aftermath of Gog storyline in the comics where Doomsday actually became a good guy.
