Has the new DLC broken this? I saw LSM needed updating because asset ID names were added, so I assume this mod works with a similar pipeline.

Steam is UNSUBSCRIBING a lot of mods and assets from this game. Even if it shows 'subscribed' it's not. You have to resub.

Question: in the documentation, it says that the name of an effect must be unique. Does it mean that I must name all effects differently across all assets, or for example can I use a name I used on a different asset before? If no, can I re-use an effect on another asset by using the same name?

Hey Bo, i have a problem wth blinking lights in a fence. The fence has the fence shader and all but the problem is that when the fence is bend vertically, as on a hillside as example, the lights stay in their height and don't fit to the new lower/higher segments of the fence. Is there a way to make that happen? I'am trying it for hours now and can't figure it out. :( I guess that there must be some way because vehicles (ships as example) also have blinking lights which go up and down depending on the angle of the vehicle.

I don't know if this is happening to anyone else but yesterday I loaded up my city to find that half the city building models were not working, had a simulation failure, and an error in game. After lots of troubleshooting I found that this mod was the cause of it. This only started yesterday once I noticed some other mods were updated. Not sure if that is relevant.

Hey man, so I want to create emergency vehicles with custom lights but using this mod is a bit tricky, I don't know how to and confuses the shit out of me :D would it be possible for you to make an ingame interface for this mod to use in the asset editor, instead of writing scripts? Or at least a tutorial for this version would be highly appreciated too.

Thanks that's great. Ideally I'd like the asset to make the noise every time a Cim visits the asset rather than a constant noise but if that's not possible just having the sound playing at random intervals will also work.

There's a few different vehicle effect mods. Doesn't seem to be one that adds sounds to buildings. though.

Boformer, quick question for you.

Can this mod be adapted to include sound effects added to assets? I have added a .wav file to an .fbx and would love to know how to get the game to play that sound when you get close to that asset.

It's a building asset not a vehicle.

Ok, I understand, because the use of Vehicle Effects makes the vanilla airplane flashing light effect unusable, I originally wanted to imitate the lighting effect, thank you for your answer

hey! yes, the mod doesn't add any new blinkTypes that weren't already in the game.
However, there are like 5 or 6 different ones to choose from.

I wanted to add custom lights (blinks) to the plane, thought the numbers on the blinkType tag were the blink ratio and time, but found that wasn't the case, this is a great mod, hope to see more tuning options someday

This has been a big help in getting the Airport DLC to work without errors. Many of us really appreciate your on going works, Thank you!

to my knowledge this mod works fine. I don't have the time to create a complete list, but I tested if my most recent and popular mods work with this dlc.

@boformer - I've been working on a list of working MODS that I want/need to use with the Airports DLC. After 67 MODS that don't have issues including your Custom Animation Loader, Movable Bridge MOD, Network Skins, and Prefab Hook I get four error messages before getting to the main game screen that fill two pages of a word doc. Once this mod was removed, no error messages. Would you care to supply a link to your list of MODS that work with the new DLC that includes the Custom Effect Loader?

hmmm it would kinda be possible with AnimUV shader. the lights wouldn't be actual light sources but illuminated textures, but with AnimUV you can animate them. Would probably look fine from the distance.

This mod wouldn't be required for it.
