It's been so long that I don't exactly recall, but there were limitations on being used in other gamemodes.
It might have also interfered with normal weapon usage? I really don't remember properly, I'm sorry.

And I also think that re-uploading them is a bad idea. Many tried and most often the addons were removed

What are the limits, for example?

I too have them, and reverse engineered them a little, removing bad stuff and some limitations, but I also haven't played with them in a long time, and don't think uploading them would be good.
I don't even know what Magenta's up to these days, but they most probably don't want them back out there.

If there is anyone left here, I want to inform you that I found plasmids from Magenta. I have them as files, I downloaded them a long time ago when I had pirated Garry's Mod. Does anyone need it? I won’t re-upload them, I simply don’t know how, and I think the addon will be deleted. I can just upload a folder with these addons somewhere, on Google Drive for example, Mega or somewhere else, if of course someone needs it. (And just in case, if you want electricity in water and cyclone traps to work on other players, you need to enter the command sbox_playershurtplayers 1)

This also includes dexters plasmids that didnt have a backdoor (i checked) but was removed for some reason or another.

2020 Update,crazy we've been here since 2013,anyway i got my hands on the removed plasmids and i've removed the back door code that was in them,after some testing they are now safe.

I know I've had the plasmid for 3 - 4 years since the creator stopped it. I don't know the reason but it's very stupid of him. but I still have the plasmid in gmd or in upload for addon so even if my post is deleted I can give it to you for free obviously by mp

Time to see how well this ends.
I have yet to see one reupload stand for more than a few days before it gets taken down.

I've still got the plasmid bundle file, but I'm not keen on installing any of Magenta's old mods now; at least one of them (Probably MCPB) will randomize some game settings and break some NPC animations.

Yeah, something happened with Magenta and all their mods are gone from the public, and I'm not super-interested in distributing it anymore since there are genuinely viruses in at least some of Magenta's mods.

I don't know if it's worth it; at least some of Magenta's mods do have lua viruses in them, MCPB weapons definitely does.
Among these was the infamous Kleiner Soda Machine, and one which randomized your configs. Even one which somehow broke the animations of various NPCs, most notably the firing animation of combine members.
