is it actually winter-summer? I forgot
Monkey Dart Feb 6, 2024 @ 4:43am
This mod is really nice!
but it's a shame, it makes you play spring and autumn only. Is it possible to update in order to experience all seasons?
in any case it's a cool mod

Just the mod I was looking for lol
Dresden  [author] Sep 24, 2019 @ 12:30pm
No, DeI has its own version of this
pablogriest Sep 24, 2019 @ 11:47am
is dei compatible?
alexsaba13 Jun 24, 2019 @ 12:56pm
In case anyone searches for patch 17 mods, everything that says patch 20 ,is not compatible! So search for patch 17 compatible, or check if the mod is updated after the rework. If its not then it works, if it is its incompatible!
Dresden  [author] Apr 12, 2019 @ 12:51pm
Probably not
alexsaba13 Apr 12, 2019 @ 3:31am
Great work, thank you for all your effort. Is this still compatible with older patches (mainly patch 17) ?
Dresden  [author] Apr 7, 2019 @ 12:46pm
Since some people seem to have issues with the new launcher and mods not saying they are updated, I am re-updating various mods to try to help with that issue.
Dresden  [author] Aug 27, 2018 @ 2:05pm
It is updated
Joker Aug 27, 2018 @ 1:41am

Lucifer Dominus Rex Aug 16, 2018 @ 12:31pm
Excellent. Thank you for quick reply. I shall enable now.
Dresden  [author] Aug 16, 2018 @ 12:28pm
yes
Lucifer Dominus Rex Aug 16, 2018 @ 12:05pm
is this mod based on grand campaign only?
jpinard Aug 14, 2018 @ 12:06pm
Hi @Dresden. I can't find the simplest mod so I'm going to try and do it myself but am sick this week so my brain is not at full capacity. I haven't modded a total war game since Medieval 2 Total War. All I want to do is give myself a small 300 gold stipend per turn, and also change the hard difficutly level so it uses the public order bonus of "Normal" for the player, and put that value in to the "Hard" diffficulty. Normal is too easy, and hard is just a tad annoying in that respect. I was going to try and do this with the default built in tools. Is this the right way to go about it?

Thanks!
Dresden  [author] Aug 12, 2018 @ 3:30pm
For DeI you should only use DeI submods, not any other mods. These mods are not compatible with DeI. There is a 2tpy dei submod you can find in the DeI submod collection
AugustusCaesar Aug 12, 2018 @ 12:04am
Thanks for the quick answer!

Is there any version of the 2TPY mod that includes the building and tech time reduction that works for sure?

If not, what version would you recommend I use for a 2TPY Campaign using the DEI mod? There are so many different versions on the Net, I am confused :D .
jpinard Aug 11, 2018 @ 1:18pm
Wow thanks Dresden! As always your an awesome guy.
Dresden  [author] Aug 11, 2018 @ 10:29am
I havent updated a lot of those on TWC, some may work though since they were simple effect additions.

The building tech times just does that, building and tech
AugustusCaesar Aug 11, 2018 @ 1:57am
A quick question, does the 2TPY Hardcore Compilation found on the Forum work with the newest patch? If not, does the 2TPY + Building/Tech times x2 one also affect such things as movement and sieges and such?
Dresden  [author] Aug 9, 2018 @ 10:47am
Updated for todays patch
Dresden  [author] Jul 26, 2018 @ 1:43pm
For a version that works with the ancestral beta, you can use the standalone found here http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?624360 (until the game updates, then I will update this)
IISiegeLayerII Jul 24, 2018 @ 3:04am
Hi Dresden. Do the 2tPY mod require an updated version? I see you've released one for 4TPY due to some family tree issues and i was wondering if this version has the same issues?
Fortune Mar 29, 2018 @ 6:08am
Hey. I'm getting a bug where the seasons aren't cycling properly. I just get and endless summer/winter loop.
Dresden  [author] Mar 16, 2018 @ 8:44pm
You may have another mod with a startpos file then
Indie Mar 16, 2018 @ 7:49pm
Hi Dresden, this mod doesn't work for me... years are 4 turns
Dresden  [author] Mar 8, 2018 @ 11:02am
Updated for todays patch/DLC
Dresden  [author] Dec 3, 2017 @ 11:18am
That would not be compatible with this mod, both are startpos mods. But in theory his mod should still be fine to use with patch 18
OndAtRa RodenTia Dec 3, 2017 @ 12:24am
Hello, Dresden, can you say pls what exactly needed adoption to 18 patch in your 2tpy mod? I'm asking because i'm using Grand Campaign on Imperator Augustus map mod http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=362109314 with 2tpy submod and it's seems all working with latest patch.
Unfortunatly, author of this mod will not update his work anymore. If changes too critical, can you make compatible your 2tpy mod for this Imperator Augustus map mod?
Sorry for my english.
Dresden  [author] Nov 30, 2017 @ 10:14am
Updated for latest game update.
Dresden  [author] Feb 25, 2017 @ 2:03pm

Emperor Nuclear Feb 25, 2017 @ 9:34am
can I use this my mod. Credtis go to too.
Emperor Nuclear Feb 24, 2017 @ 11:14pm
oh thank you I thought I had to make it myself. :)
Dresden  [author] Feb 24, 2017 @ 10:43pm
Yes
Emperor Nuclear Feb 24, 2017 @ 10:33pm
since the 2tpy seasons effects makes it so that there is only summer and winter, I expect that it is in this one as well. Am I right?
Alejandro Dec 20, 2016 @ 6:03pm
My fav mod, thanks!
Dresden  [author] Jan 28, 2016 @ 4:31pm
Vanilla Rome 2 has season effects. My other mod adds more season effects.
Azeron Jan 28, 2016 @ 1:59pm
The mod isn't supposed to have the weather effects yet it does...
Dresden  [author] Aug 20, 2015 @ 1:12pm
Updated patch 17
SaltyStoryteller Jul 29, 2015 @ 12:08pm
So there's no way to make the year turn, say, every summer and winter, leaving Spring and Autumn in the game? Bugger. Well thanks anyway.
Dresden  [author] Jul 29, 2015 @ 12:06pm
You cant sadly. You have to use 4TPY.
SaltyStoryteller Jul 29, 2015 @ 9:37am
If i wanted to modify this mod so that I get the full remit of seasons again, what would I have to alter, if I may ask? I love the double-length campaign and the balanced research and building, but I'd also like to have the spring and autumn effects back.
Espritviril`` Feb 16, 2015 @ 1:06pm
Hey i love your mod but it breaks my "Grand Campaign on Imperator Augustus map" I cant use bigger map on grand campaign with your mod. Why is your mod changing map, doesn't its purpose change date ? How can i make both of these mods work. Thanks in advance.
TaterzNcorn Feb 5, 2015 @ 3:48pm
are there any known issues that this causes on the campaign map? Im experiencing game crashes when i upgrade my settlements town. I doubt this mod has anything to do with it, but Im just curious. I want to figure out what it is, Because i love this game dearly.
Dresden  [author] Dec 16, 2014 @ 7:49pm
Updated for patch 16.1.
Dresden  [author] Nov 20, 2014 @ 11:21am
Compatible with Patch 16 and Black Sea DLC.
jpinard Nov 2, 2014 @ 3:35pm
That's what I thought. I finally played a full 4TPY game to completion and generals, spies, etc just got way too advanced. Near the end of the game (which was still super early date-wise) they were so powerful that an amry could be permanently stuck from agent attacks.

Instead, I wonder if there's a way to increase the amount of EXP agents and generals get to match 2TPY? That might balance out better in the end. They'd still die soon, but would be more useful before they did. Although if we could increase their life expectancy, coupled with increased EXP - then that would be perfect! Dreden - Is that possible to do?
Dresden  [author] Oct 3, 2014 @ 12:04pm
The only values that change with a pure TPY only mod is the actual turns per year. So, 4TPY makes the years take too long (and people advance too quickly in terms of historical date). That is why some mods have build/research time components to change that aspect so they don't progress too quickly. Sadly this also slows gameplay down from the players perspective.
