Got a possible bug report.

The game has updated recently, and your mod doesn't work well with it. She ship's skin is gone, and there's no "boost" effect behind the ship anymore. Not to mention the huge bug, which is when you pick up a star, all the white blocks allign in the center, visually, but their actual placement is hidden, apart from the stripes under them.

can you add this to your mod for me or can someone do this cause i know hes buisy with next update for the game and i cant mod
Pink blocks are 1000 points.
Blue blocks are 2000 points.
Green blocks are 3000 points.
Yellow blocks are 4000 points.
Red blocks are 5000 points

In mono we're usually supposed to be dodging the grays, so hitting a powerup that let us hit those grays for extra points felt really good, like a Mario Starman. It was almost euphoric because of the way the pellets are timed with the best parts of the songs.

Now that I know how you're supposed to maximize your score, though, I'm not having as much fun. Pellets are usually placed after a slow section. If I don't know the pellet is coming, it's very easy to lose a large cluster of blocks, which just takes me right out of the song. I didn't like wakeboard for the same reason – having to set up my grid before an intense section breaks the flow of the song for me.

But this was still my favorite mode, and there's nothing else like it. Could you please make some kind of a Mono Midway casual mode, where grays are punishing, and power blocks give a flat amount of points, like, 3000 or 5000? I can't tell you how much I'd appreciate it.

Deadman: Grey Blocks have a very different purpose in Midway.

Remember, the points you get from picking up the orb are based off how full your grid is. Pick up the orb with an empty grid, those blocks aren't worth very many points. Pick it up with a full grid, you make lots and lots of points.

So, how to make sure you hit the orb with a heavy (or full) Grid?

Take advantage of the greys.

Picking up a grey resets the grid clear timer, so you don't empty your grid prematurely.

It also removes a block, which allows you to pick up another block, thus keeping your grid going. It also helps prevent you from overfilling your columns, which will also clear your grid.

So yeah. Grey blocks are your friends in midway.

For all those who want a Midway Turbo mode: check out my last mod, you might find it acceptable.

Pretty fun. However, I've been playing Turbo mode recently, so I found going back to regular speed a bit boring. If a Trubo version is made, that would be really good for me.

I think this is better than the standard Mono mode. I never understood the need for a minion, it seems I can let the minion pick up the blocks for me during large portions of a song and it takes away the fun. What I do like about Mono is the stealth bonus for avoiding all grey blocks which appears to be absent from this mode.

My question about Mono Midway is to do with the grey blocks. Now maybe I am missing something here but they appear to have no purpose whatsoever. I pick up grey blocks, they don't remove my stealth bonus (because it doesn't exist here), they don't lower my score and as soon as they are collected, they disappear from my board. What is the penalty for hitting grey blocks? Why should they be avoided?

I love it but I just have one question, why did you change the scoring system?
DVkun Dec 5, 2013 @ 3:59pm
what happened to the midway skin and the cloud white skin I can't find them anymore :(

Ah, that's good! (Also, darn, forgot I was using a joke name!) All but one of the loops have been replaced with corkscrews, much like Mono Sideswipe. Was that intentional?

Thanks such nintendork. so 64. wow. -- you were right. Last week's update broke that. Fixed now!

Major, major glitch with this mod! When a power pellet is grabbed, the power blocks all appear to be in the center lane, even though 2/3rds of them are actually still on the left and right lanes.
Blazeymix Oct 24, 2013 @ 12:27pm
I love you!
Vaporous Shadow Oct 24, 2013 @ 10:15am
Works really well. would love to see the loops implimented into vanilla mono mode actually.
somonflex Oct 23, 2013 @ 1:21pm
Nice mode, gg dude.

YOU ARE AWESOME !
Col_Shaggy Oct 22, 2013 @ 3:12pm
I've run into the gray block bug as well. But aside from that it just needs a good assymetrical skin, sky and ground, to highlight the inversions.
MDuh Oct 22, 2013 @ 2:47pm
2 bugs:
1) There are some places where a black screen will block a part of the track making you not see them
2) Right after the power up ends, very rarely, you can't add anymore blocks to the grid whose lanes aren't full. So the only way to remove the bug is to clear it by overfilling on the filled lane

Things needed
Pro mode = Bad Power Up (if you take it you get landmined make you loos points)
more skins

There's a bug with the spheres: After the sphere power ends, you can still collect even grey blocks and still get point as if the blocks are still upgraded. Easily noticable on "hamster Alliance - Falling Through The Air" on the first Power Pallet.

I'm loving it and the skin looks great too!
But wouldn't it be better to make it an official mode? More people would play it, and we'll get more competition!

Also, a Turbo variant NOW! :D

It's an excellent addition to the game. I find that it reminds me of Ironmode Ninja Mono. There are no special powerups, and the speed is surprisingly similar to Turbo. It's odd though that there is no stealth bonus at all, and greys disappear in about a second.

The most admirable thing about it though is the loops we get on the track. The rollercoaster feel is fantastic, and I would love a Mono Turbo mode with this kind of loopy track.
guy_jin Oct 18, 2013 @ 12:14pm
Awesome. Loving the skin.

Yes ! loops !
