This mod really is just redundant. The new remastered version is by far the best, it has improved balance, easy of use and is developed by us both. Or was, neither of us have worked on it for years. But it's the most functional version of this mod there is.

This mod doesn't have cheap adamantium, and only materials from old well defended. I would say you should have no problems using remastered well defended for coop games after the adamantium balance tweak

This mod is for playing on a co-op map like battleships, use the remastered one for other uses :D

Just because you think your mod is stupid, unnecessary, and pointless doesn't mean it isn't fun for many people. Personally the mod definitely has its flaws sure, but me and a ton of other people (this mod is sitting at just above 9k subscribers) clearly find the mod fun. If you don't like the quality of the mod, why didn't you remove some of the reskins, keep the core features (Thallium, Adamantium, Rhodium, Platinum, Aluminium) and add in some of the stuff from extra materials (camo doors and armor) instead of removing all of what made your mod fun and special in a boring new version and then delete the old version off of the workshop because you "think its pointless" and when people call you out for it, you insult them or tell them to fuck off.

In fact, you could have just made this mod higher priority than Well Defended, and then used your mod to make changes to it. That would be fine. It's no plagiarism, just you making a balance changing mod. Imagine making a small mod to make one of Tanya's weapons work differently. No separate Tanya's Mod clone required.

And I would fully support his decision in that case. The mod was stupid, unnecessary and pointless, not to mention inaccessible and hard to use. I did a 2 year game design course at level 3. So that quality of mod from me is frankly disgusting.

I think you'll find BeeMan will take it down. He doesn't approve of the mod too much.

As said in my recent Extra Materials comments, yes just because I took it down doesn't then give you free reign over it.

If you want something like well defended, make it yourself. :)
Then you can do all the changes you want and not worry about anything like this.

@alexc96161 Unfortunately, the tangible evidence is gone. It was in a comment under "Well Defended Balanced", which was the first one I uploaded, but got taken down, since I had no idea I was actually supposed to credit the creator. (It was just supposed to be a small edit for me and my friends and I didn't think much of it until after it was removed).

BUT even if Anchovy did not give me permission, it wouldn't matter at this point since he deleted the original, so there is no basis to remove either of my mods at the moment. The only reason I'll remove Well Defended (not "balanced" version) is if Anchovy decides he will reinstate the original. Then I will happily remove it.

I will not take down my "balanced" version, because the way I interpret it Anchovy gave me permission in his comment, and only tried to revoke it afterward. Also he could have gotten this one removed like the first one, and presumable tried to, but probably couldn't because I didn't do anything wrong.

@alexc96161 Are you stupid? The original mod doesn't exist so it doesn't have a mod description, so that point is invalid. And Anchovy technically did give me permission. He took this one down originally and said if I wanted to upload it I needed to give him credit, which I then did, which granted me permission.

As well here are the rules on copieing from the devs: " 1: Modders must indicate in the description of their mod if their mod is allowed to be copied, or if they require permission first.

2: Modders wanting to copy parts of an existing mod must seek the authors permission first. If permission is given, the original author must be credited in the description and a link to the original mod provided." In the discription of well defended it said you must ask permission. And while you did credit the mod author you DID NOT get permission from the mod author, and even was said to NOT take the mod. This is in CLEAR volation of the rules. And I will request the devs to take this mod down.

And I have properly credited Anchovy as the creator (which technically speaking I didn't have to do after Anchovy took the original mod down). I don't need his permission to reupload it after he took it down, it would be different if the original Well Defended was still up. I'm simply making this mod available to the Forts community again since so many people, (including myself) love the mod in its original state and it sucks that Anchovy threw a temper-tantrum and took it down off of the workshop.

This makes me really mad, you copy someones elses mod WITHOUT thier permission, going agenst steams & the games rules. I will ask the devs to take this down if you do not yourself.

@The2Lied Anchovy (the creator) removed it, saying adamantium was useless, most objects are reskins and uploaded a "better version" in which he removed all the specials and 90% of everything else. He is also a big cunt to his (before) fans.

Also, I made the mod extra materials if you want a better version. And why even bother nerfing the cost of adamantium? At 55k metal it will be impossible to even use.

1. You still never asked for permission.
2. There is already a rebalanced version. Search Not So Well Defended
3. I'm making a remastered version. No there's no real need for this anways. It won't have adamantium in it.
