One of my most favorite mods ever, would LOVE for it to be ported to Special Edition

Can you upload this somewhere else as Steam really sucks. I don't want them running every aspect of my game or have to go online every time i want to install a Mod - that really sucks..

How the heck do you sing (perform verses?)

I second JasonParker here, would love to have this on SSE. The Bard's questline is the weakest in the game, this could fix that.

May I port this to special edition and upload to the nexus? I would of course give you credit.

As far as actual complaints and not just me being insufferably pedantic, I spoke to Enid wearing the graduation robes, and she said to 'follow her,' then never moved. I waited, and still she never moved.

Let me be clear, I actually really like this mod; I was excited beyond belief when I could *actually play* instruments. I just. Want it to work?

Lute:
In the first lute book, the same 'it's' vs. 'its' mistake is made yet again in "It's sound must not only be loud but warm..."

"form" vs. "from" in "... it is our job to know... form (should be 'from') the sound and feel whether the Lute is up to the standard of a fine performance."

"Mill" is misspelled "Milll"


Drum:
The 3rd Drum book:
"heal" vs "heel" (as in the heel of the palm of the hand.)

Verse:
The 1st Verse book should have a colon in listing the subjects songs are often written about instead of a comma. ("... the main themes we like to base our music on are, Politics, History, Humor and Love" as opposed to "... the main themes we like to base our music on are: Politics, History... etc.)

The 2nd Verse book at least... on purpose misspells "Rhyming?" So... letting that one slide.

**GRAMMAR NAZI ALERT I REGRET NOTHING**

I'm gonna be 'that gal,' I know, but there's an awful lot of grammar and spelling errors in the reading materials. I wouldn't mind so much except it's supposed to be a college, and they literally quiz you on the materials. All of them could benefit from more commas to break up the phrases, but here are the other errors:

Flute:
In the 2nd Flute book. 'It's biggest enemy' as opposed to "Its biggest enemy" (the 'its' should be possessive, not a contraction for 'it is.')

Also in the 2nd flute book: "If it is in the cold for a period of time and you are due to perform. play for at least 15 minutes beforehand to warm the instrument up." There should be a comma instead of a period between 'perform' and 'play.' (cont.)

how do i do the classes?

Sigh. I installed this hoping I wouldn't be one of those who have ended up with the graduation glitch. Sadly, I have. Completed all the courses, went outside with Enid to do the graduation, and just stuck there with "let's wait until everyone arrives" over and over. Can you please, please provide a fix (like just having Enid wait an hour instead and going ahead with whoever is there), or give us the setstage information to skip and move to the next stage. No point to the mod if you can't graduate, which ruins all the excellent and fabulous hard work you put into this. A great mod, that goes boom when the main quest can't be completed.. Also, please put on Nexus. I hate using Steam mods because they are crap with doing load order. (And yes, I tried just using your mod with NOTHING else activated to see if the graduation would work, and no, it would not. No matter what time of day or what I did, Biarmo and Jorn would not attend, or Bendt either, but i don't know if he was required.)

If you are going to make a mod do it right, the voice actor for Enid is so annoying, I can't graduate because everyone hasn't shown up, Enid is buggy, when I go and take the Viva Voce she ends up just walking back to her desk and I have to wait 24 hours. It needs a lot of work.

I can'f graduate because some of the college members won't arrive. Help please.

Do the classes even affect your graduation process? Is there a point to them? Or are they just for the roleplaying nuts?

Now to all roleplaying nuts that want to do the classes but, mind-boggingly, don't want to sit down and wait for that long: enter "set timescale to 240" in the console. Four hours will pass in one minute of RL time. Then if you have a needs mod and you need food set it back to 5 or 10, feed and hydrate your character, then get to the next classroom and set back to 240. Rinse and repeat.

Also, the viva voce are not hard. Just read all three volumes for your major. It's easy. Come on now.

yes there are some bugs with the classes which are vanilla game bugs not due to the mod - I have fixed most of these bugs in v.1 but it is less compatible with other mods. The classes do not work in v.2 as the vanilla game has always been bugged. Unfortunately that was never fixed by bethesda. I am currently working on another instrument radiant quest which has regular jobs around Tamriel for bards.

This could've been so awesome, but I feel like it ended up being a big waste. You wait the four hours for each class, putter around to find the books you need for your "major", take the test, play in the inn, and have to deal with absolutely one of the most annoying, lifeless NPCs - rinse, lather, repeat three more times - and then have to wait until everyone shows up for your graduation. I waited days and still everyone hadn't "arrived". Eventually I had to give up.

All of this time was wasted on what is really an arbitrary thing. It would've added something to the game. However, it took too damn long to get there, and there wasn't enough going on to justify the delay.

Please, if you're even bothering with this mod anymore, try making the classes shorter and the graduation simple, short, and sweet. And for the love of all things holy, please insert just a TINY bit of personality into Enid's voice. She sounds like a robot as it is now.

Thanks so much for making this! I was excited about being a bard but disappointed by how little there was to the vanilla Bards College -- this mod makes it great, instead. The Viva Voce are my favourite parts; it's fun roleplay to actually know some bard lore.

Otherwise yes they are very much compatible.

playing with the college set of instruments triggers advance in speech craft and you might get tips. playing with the stock instruments set from vanilla skyrim used in Become A Bard will trigger skill in bard journal and will allow you to play at inns via dialogue option with innkeeper and you can play the songs provided by the Become A Bard.

My every day class are buged

Alright, I'm having some trouble now. I'm on my final major, the Flute. I chose to take that last because, from my character's view point, she didn't like the Flute as much. I read the books, now I've been trying to talk to Enid to take the Viva Voce. The option to take the Viva Voce is not available. I decided to go amble around, talk to the Inkeeper, play a few songs, etc at the tavern and came back 24 hours later. The option is still not available. I've waited longer now, reading books around the College and such, attending the classes. It's been 6 days (6x24 hours) in game and she still is not offering the Viva Voce. I even tried to do the console command to "kill" then "resurrect" to see if it would get her back into the swing of things. Nothing. Any advice on what I should do? I'd really love to complete this quest because, so far, I love this mod. Just a tad frustrated now.

I'm having a problem with this mod where after I try to pass the performance section of the flute major, I just stand there and I can't control my character at all - can't move, can't interact, can't even open my inventory menu. Is this an often occuring issue?

First, thank you a lot for this amazing mod. I have though a small problem: I have passed successfully my first class (the lute) and after I choosed the flute, but when I talk to Enid, I don't have the option to pass the test anymore. I go to class, wait, and nothing.

I enjoyed this mod, gave a nice roleplaying start to my alt start non-combat character. Just graduated.

A few small notes about bugs I encountered:
-Small typo in Lute Book 1 near the start, "Know form the sound and feel", I think you meant "from".
-Durring assements the animation would play but the music wouldn't start until after it was finished.

Other than those few small errors this mod is great and really added to my game.

As a side note for other users curious about the stability and compatability of this mod: I run a number of other mods with it (something like 250) and encountered no problems.

I think this mod has some great potential, but it's somewhat lacking in the execution. I didn't really feel that it added and fixed all that was promised and it did aswell add quite a few glitches and bugs not seen in vanilla Skyrim.

What is the trick to get Enid to actually take you to the graduation ceremony? She says "Follow me." and then starts writing in her book, and doesn't go anywhere.

Does this have all the features of playble instruments, can I sing from books, because I have both and I have this one for character backround and roleplaying purposes but if it has both I could unsub from his, and that might fix the problem where I have three of every instrument but can't make a sound.

Make this for the College of Winterhold!

Found out how to integrate the mods for tipping, assistance no longer required. However, there is a bug where anything I take from the Bard's College is considered stealing-- that includes books, assignments, et cetera. Help?

It would be really cool if you could make it so that when you played at taverns and such, people would give you tips-- sort of like how Playable Instruments mod works. Then we could actually make a living off of being a bard :3

I have a problem with Viarmo and Jorn during the graduation ceremony. they don't come even if I wait hours. even after summoning them with the console command moveto player they simply walk away. help plz!

Is there any indicator that you have gotten "experience" for "practicing" the instrument? I've played the lute a great deal of times now, probably close to 20 or so and I still fail the performance test. Is this a bug or do I just need to practice more?

Does this require Dawngard?
