If you want a slightly more fitting icon for the weapon, copy the following lines below the previous lines in "XComTemplateEditor.ini":

+Edit_X2WeaponTemplate = (T = "REPULSOR_CV", P = "strImage", V = "img:///UILibrary_Common.AlienWeapons.SectoidPistol")

The Sectoid wrist blaster fits a hand blaster better than a regular pistol, and is also unique since you don't get the Sectoid weapon normally.

If anyone's having trouble upgrading past CV (which is probably everyone, since upgrades are apparently not tied to the actual weapons", there is a possible workaround.

1) Download "[WOTC] Iridar's Template Master - Configuration".
2) Go into the Config folder and create a file called "XComTemplateEditor.ini".
3) In "XComTemplateEditor.ini", copy the following:

The animation of them holding out their hand stopped working for me.

the mod works right .. and I practically use it with a pj iroman class, I love: D
just a small problem:
He always has the tier1 and even if he buys the tier2 or t3. in the inventory it puts t1 ..

suggestion .. to see if it would be possible for a first weapon, since I would like toni star to use this as a main weapon and a gremlin as a second one .. since it is an expert hacker.

@Valvatorez - Intruiging. I recently did a verification (a few weeks ago) but the bug only seems to have triggered in the last few days into a new game. I'll give it a go to see if that corrects it. Thanks.

Suggestion: Add a fourth pistol that can be obtained after defeating the Chosen Hunter and the research that lets you get Darkclaw.

@Scroller: That is an XCOM bug. You should get them back when you verify your game catch and start a new game.

Does anyone know if this mod can affect shard gauntlet coding? The repulsor works well but the X2AbilityTemplate weapon specs for the shard gauntlet no longer appear when they are equipped in the armoury? I'm not sure that it is this mod but I have only seen the issue after installing it.

@Iwn_1978 damn, ok maybe I could make sure that this mod is useable before I uninstall xcom and the mod tools. I'll look into it, for the meantime, have you tried if it works on a new save?

Um, I see that sadly the author is not going to update this any longer but the last update has made the repulsor disappear totally from my game. I had a mid mission save even, and iron man no longer has it. Back in the barracks it no longer appears as a choice. Any ideas anyone?

A little announcement: Since I will be stepping away from XCOM and modding, If anyone wants to continue to update and add to this mod, please feel free to do so as long as you give credit to the people who created the resources I used. As of now, assume that all of my mods will no longer be supported.

UPDATE: Changed REACHSHOTGUN to REPULSOR as was pointed out. Repulsors should now work properly on higher tiers. Thanks for the feedback guys! Im sorry this fix took so long. As why there was a "reachshotgun" in the code, I must have gotten the codes mixed up since I was studying other mods as reference to make my own mods. I believe that specific line of code came from the H5 Hires Guns by Lauren Lore.

I do appreciate your work including previous mods. Thank you so much. But this Repulsor mod is not working for me... I don't use primary secondary mod and any other pistol mods. But when I want to use repulsor with my sniper, the pistol fire button is not activated and says No Ammo.. I read that you fixed the ammo problem, but still I cannot use Repulsor... Could you please check again? Cause I really want to enjoy your great mod! (I already tried changing REACHSHOTGUN->REPULSOR but still No Ammo)

I like the animation, but I must admit it gave me a different idea. A new secondary for a Templar, which gives him the 'Lay on Hands' ability (uses your animation), for a personal psionic/focus based heal

then edit the config file as you wish :)

Oh, and you got the custom sound effects in.

I recommend you record a video and put on here of the new sound effects, and it working with some of the pistol skills. Will really help to sell it.

Making it count as a pistol was probably the best idea you had. Fantastic job. I look forward to trying this out. Is it available at all tiers? It looks like it is only a Beam weapon.

I hope it stays as a "pistol" but do you have any plans for a chest beam/laser? Possible one that counted/worked with shotgun abilities.

Does this work with any secondary skills? For instance, since it is based on some aspects of the pistol, will it work with pistol skills, like Fanfire or Lightning Hands?

@GUA I've just spoken to Iridar, and it looks like he will have to make changes to his mod just to make mine compatible with his. I assume Musashi will have to do the same for compatibility with Primary Secondaries. Iridar suggested that I "reinvent the wheel" instead. So while I do not have as much knowledge as them, I just had an idea of making a rifle variation of the repulsor instead which will have a different firing animation (I'll try making him fire with two hands)

@Qaternion Works great now! I'm using it with Brass knuckles from Iridar's punching and kicking mod equipped as the primary weapon so tony's not carrying around a massive gun haha. Great job on the mod. looking forward to seeing what updates and other mods you bring.
