Hi Robert, what else can I say other than a BIG thanks from my end to you for taking the time to drive almost ALL of my creations AND for providing feedback to each part. Great to see that you have enjoyed the various series with quite a couple of different locos. Many thanks again and take care. Cheers, Coasty

Hi David, at the moment I can only wait for another fix by DTG. Fortunately it's not only me having problems with scenario creations on some (!) routes...... and also forunately not on all. The more users flag such issues the more I'm convinced that something will happen...... otherwise you would be right as I have spent a high amount of time on such series without having the chance (yet) to proceed. So, let's just wait and have a cup of tea.... whilst I continue to work on another series which does not have such issues. Kind regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 May 10, 2023 @ 1:26pm
Many thanks for your response, Coasty. BUT I am SO sorry to learn of your problem with the latest update of TSC. That is a shame, particularly as you might lose hours of concentrated work on your most recent scenario creations. I do sincerely hope that DTG's fix or fixes will already have done the trick for you. Sometimes updates are to be dreaded, because of the potential havoc they can cause. I have not noticed any problem at my end, but I'm not wanting any, for I've had my fill over recent months with my Out of Memory Error problem! All the best, Coasty! I'm looking forward to seeing what you've come up with this time (and hoping that I already have all the required DLC!). Kind regards, David.

Hi David, great to see that you continue to drive various series once more..... and even better to see that you do not have any issues anymore. Since the last TSC-update (v73.9) I have issues with one particular route as I cannot proceed to further develop my creations as then the scenario is corrupted and useless. Hope this gets fixed as otherwise I would have lost several weeks of scenario creations as all 3 parts were at the final stage re player- and AI-trains. Fortunately I observed this (for now) only on ONE route..... Great to see you back and I hope you have enjoyed your caravan tour. Best regards, Coasty

Hi Coasty! So, I've driven both Parts of the "End of Line" series and now also completed the two Parts of the "Tirol Freight" series. All has been very enjoyable once again! No need to repeat what I've written before, but I'm just SO delighted to be back to driving your wonderful scenarios! (For a while I wondered if I would ever be able to drive them again, and I was in distress!!) Back from holiday again, and back on the desktop PC, though the laptop worked reasonably well while we were in our touring caravan. Hope you are well and that you are 'doing away' as usual. Kind regards, David.

Hi David, great to see that you have enjoyed this little series once more. Wrt the signal: I will give it a try as you have provided the time WHEN you approached it. Fortunately all worked well for you in the end. So, you aim to make a huge jump from the mountains to the 'flat' landscape :-) I hope you will enjoy 'Back towards the North' once more. Looking forward to hear from you again. Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 Apr 26, 2022 @ 3:07pm
Hi Coasty! I have now enjoyed the two-part trip round the Tirol. Thank you again for producing these. Greatly appreciated the fast run on the level, and then the run around Innsbruck, and finally the steep climb up the Brenner Pass in the gloaming! Strangely, the rogue red signal that bothered me previously showed up again on the approach to Innsbruck --- the time was 18:54:30. (Tabbing at it produces no reaction --- neither approval nor denial!) But carrying on regardless works fine, so it remains a minor conundrum. Doesn't spoil the scenario in any way. It's a great sequel to the little series. Now I'm wondering about heading "Back towards the North". I'm sure you would encourage me!! All the best, Coasty, and my kind regards to you, Sir. David

Hi robix61. many thanks for your kind feedback. Great to see that you have enjoyed this little series. Cheers, Coasty
robix61 Mar 21, 2022 @ 4:52pm
Great. I really enjoyed the scenarios (part 1 and 2). Perfectly done and very amazing.
Thank you. Ciao.
david.angus1977 Aug 17, 2021 @ 4:13pm
Thanks, Coasty. Yes, of course, I should have taken note of the exact signal that's showing red for me and when I'm in its vicinity. So, I drove it again yesterday evening and it is the signal just before the 70 kph speed limit sign on the approach to Innsbruck; the time was about 18.54. I then figured that it might be that I have a download glitch on my computer for this scenario, so this evening I unsubscribed from it (and checked in "Build" that it had been correctly deleted) and re-subscribed and then played it all over again! Sadly, the red signal was still red for me, and I couldn't tab through it. But, as has always been the case, I drove on and there were no dire consequences!! So, worry not in the slightest, Coasty! Your scenarios are all 99% without any glitches whatever in the normal run. How you manage to get them to run so perfectly, particularly when there is so much AI, always amazes me! Kind regards, David.
Coasty  [author] Aug 14, 2021 @ 8:34pm
Hi David, Great to see that you drove both parts once more. Still I have no idea why you have problems with the signal - nobody else (yet) reported something similar. As I have performed test runs you may imagine that I would never release a scenario when there's an issue. Knowing that you are an experienced TS-driver my only guess would be a timing problem, but still I can't reproduce it. To do a try, I would need the exact game time about WHEN are you WHERE in the scenario, this would help me to try to examine any further.
Nevertheless, many THANKS of course from my side for driving it all over again and providing feedback. Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 Aug 14, 2021 @ 3:03pm
Hi Coasty! I've just driven both Parts all over again, and I've thoroughly enjoyed doing so! This is indeed an excellent route, and you certainly make the most of it with the tasks assigned in Innsbruck; it's brilliant to get driving around Innsbruck, to places you would not normally get to see. So, my warm thanks again for all you've included in both Parts. The red signal was still at red outside Innsbruck and tabbing through did not work, but driving through DID work, as previously, so no harm done! Thanks again, and kind regards, David.
Coasty  [author] Mar 12, 2021 @ 7:51pm
Hi David, Many Thanks for your kind feedback once more. Wrt your issue with such signal in Innsbruck sounds odd, as obviously this did not happen to you when you have run this scenario the first time.
Indeed it's a great route with many options for creators like me :-) .... and not to forget the incredible OBB 1044 loco.
So, once more I have to say thanks to you for running my creations twice. When I create scenarios I execute several dozen test-drives, so usually I need to wait at least a year (if not longer), before I can "play" them myself without remembering each and ever piece :-)
So, what comes next on your side? Looking forward to hear from you again. Best regards, Coasty.
david.angus1977 Mar 12, 2021 @ 4:04pm
Well, Coasty, I've had another fabulous run this evening! I've enjoyed every minute! I had forgotten what a superb route this is --- it's a wonderful drive up the Pass, even in the gloaming! I was a little concerned that the lights didn't come on in the stations or in the houses and towns well after lighting-up time. It was a relief when they were on at St Kolop (is that correct?) and subsequently. I also lost some time at Innsbruck because I had to stop at a red signal just outside Innsbruck. I wasn't able to tab through it. When your warning note came up to say that I needed to be down to 40kph by the next signal, I thought something wasn't right! I checked the path on the 2-D map and it seemed to be ok, so I proceeded gingerly and it was all fine. I had lost a few minutes, but it didn't seem to matter much. I did greatly enjoy the run around Innsbruck, picking up Albert at Hotting, etc. This is an excellent two-part series, Coasty. Kind regards, David.

david.angus1977 Nov 25, 2019 @ 4:34pm
Thanks for your response, Coasty, which I saw and read soon after you posted it. I just thought I should say now that I'm looking forward to your next series "around Northern UK"!! My regards in the meantime, David.
Coasty  [author] Nov 17, 2019 @ 1:07am
Hi David, Many Thanks for your warm words.... and for playing this little series once more. Always difficult to predict whether users may like certain scenarios..... or not and I don't want to speculate here :-)
The OBB 1044 is a dream to drive and operate (IMHO), but indeed you may need to familliarise yourself with the various brakes. A quick look into the manual and a few test miles will make the difference if you enjoy it ..... or not.
Due to time constraints you may not expect anything new in short, but at least I have a couple of ideas......(around Northern UK :-). Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 Nov 16, 2019 @ 4:51pm
Hello Coasty! I'm back again and have had another run through both scenarios in this little series. Again, I have very much enjoyed the driving, and seeing all the AI traffic. Both scenarios ran fine for me, as previously. I'm not sure why this series turned out not to be as popular as your work usually is. I can't imagine that it is the level of difficulty, because both don't seem 'hard' to me. I just wonder if the quirkiness of the 1044's brakes might put people off. When I came back to driving the 1044 again, at first I could not get the beast to move at all. The train brake needs to be not wholly released but settled back a little from that position, and that brake movement has to be carried out when the throttle is 'off'. Please don't let the slightly poorer reaction put you off creating more scenarios! You have a very firm fan base out there, and I'm sure all are eager to see further creations from you, when you have the time. Kind regards, David..
Coasty  [author] Nov 8, 2019 @ 9:47pm
Hi David, Thanks once more for your kind feedback and of course for taking the time to play my little series. Great to see that you enjoyed this part as well.
This little series never got that popular and I wonder if there is an issue with the level of difficulty ("hard"), as it's surely not just 'straight forward' from A to B.
In this particular part there was an issue in the beginning as players who got the Route via Steam had no issues, but those who purchased it directly from RSSLO got trouble.
Finally I was able to solve the problem (with a friendly tester) which then led to v2 where nobody had any probs.
So, Thanks once more for your feedback on all my creations and I hope to hear from you soon. Best regards, Coasty
david.angus1977 Nov 8, 2019 @ 4:18pm
Thanks for another great job, Coasty. That was an interesting and enjoyable run, or series of runs. Great AI traffic, too. It's quite a Pass, the Brenner Pass! -- a very scenic route. It all ran nicely for me. Thanks again and kind regards, David.

Hi Rammy, Thanks once more for your kind feedback and of course for taking the time to play this mini series. Great to see that you liked it! Cheers, Coasty

Gruss, Coasty
Paulokomo Aug 28, 2019 @ 8:43am
Was a cool testing job ! Thanks Coasty for your unbreakable will to find a solution and your efforts !
:steamhappy:
Coasty  [author] Aug 28, 2019 @ 7:39am
UPDATED version: Users who got the Route and/or the BR 4023 from RSSLO directly reported problems trying this scenario, whereas users who have all required DLCs from DTG/Steam had no issue. THIS version solves the issue so that all users will now be able to play this scenario without problems. Special THANKS to 'Paulokomo' for extensive testing! Cheers, Coasty
