small problem: with the mod active I can't place drywall behind the tubes

This mod is amassing but can you add a tube overlay because when you place the tubes in the walls you can not see them

I also loved this mod right up until I started trying to run transit tubes in space and found that you can't place drywall behind them. They do seem to form a seal just like drywall does, but it looks absolutely terrible just having the void of space visible behind all the transit tubes. Hopefully the mod author finds a solution. In the mean time, the "super building extension" mod offers "steel transit tubes" with a higher melting point AND that are placed on the background layer. They connect to regular transit tubes just as you'd hope. It's the best compromise I've found so far.

This idea is awesome, but having tubes as background buildings give me real trouble in skyblock maps or in spaceage. If you could change this back to a normal building and just change the restriction would be nice. Even better when you could make a config that the player can choose how the tubes behave, cause many (like me) only want them to pass ladders

With this mod, I have to self-restrict myself not to build tubes behind anything else than ladders and fire poles. However, without that mod, I wouldn't be able to build tubes behind ladders and fire poles at all, so it's an overall win. Thank you!

Its nice but i dont quite like it being incompatible with the background plate.
I made a steel-travel-tube thats on the background layer - additionally to the normal tube and added it to the super building extension.

@Trix thanks for the suggestion, but as I thought, this mod moves the transit pipes to the background layer which the drywall, wallpaper and temp shift plates also use, meaning they can't be built on the same place.

Still love the mod, just can't quite use tubes to link my space bases how I wanted

I think I found a bug where tubes made that occupy the same space as part of a mini gas pump actually generates 8kg of wolframite on top of the gas pump frequently, entombing the pump. Tubes are the only thing I have that are interacting with a mod near that location, so I think it's from this mod.

The mod "No Leaky Walls" lets you build drywall behind objects like transit tubes, so that should help with what you're looking for!

Could we get the tubes to act as drywall does? (Or a new, more expensive, type of tube that acts as drywall, like an insulated tube)

Overlapping with dry wall is impossible due to sharing the same layer. (which is a shame but what will you do)

Now all we need is over drywall , Still this is very handy.
