Gillie suit makes enemy pawns unselectable when using SOS2. SOS2 has the unselectable bug with many mods and I'm not asking for a fix but thought to put it here in case it was helpful or somehow relevant to anything else, somehow. Come to think of it, this isn't just a feature of gillie on enemies to make them less visible to the player?

@Wilihey It looks like the flak goggles were removed after 1.3. If you go to "mod_folder\1.3\Defs\ThingDefs_Misc\Headgear_Industrial.xml" flak goggles are there.

i really cannot find where to craft the flak goggles, i really want them i've already implemented 3 light receptors in my colonists

it says on this page that you unlock it after researching fabrication but its not there, i have all the other pieces besides the flak goggles and nvgs

How do I use the riot shield? My pawns drop it when they equip a weapon even if the weapon says it can be used with shields, and if they equip the shield they drop their weapon too.

For those wondering what happened to certain recipes (ballistic chest and NVG). They were removed for some reason, the mod below fixes that for you.

It works for 1.4 and anon's in the comments mention using it on 1.5 .

@IceCreamBreak Seems intentional to me. The quilted vest is meant to be a light armor middle layer alternative to other middle layer vests like wooden armor, chestplate and flak vest. You're only supposed to wear the gambeson under full armors, not both gambeson and quilted vest at the same time.

Wooden armor shows up in-game as "Wooden wooden armor". It should probably be renamed to "slat armor" so it would apprear as "Wooden slat armor"

Hello! I think there's an error with the Gambeson and Quilted vest.

Despite the Quilted vest covering less of the body and having less protection over all, it takes up the "middle" slot making it incompatible with many armors. Meanwhile, the Gambeson covers more, protects more, and uses the "skin" layer, making it wearable with things like plate armor.

Is this intentional? If it is, is there a way to edit the configs myself? If not, I'd really appreciate this being addressed since I think it makes more sense for things to be that way. Thanks~!

@Energywelder trooper armor is sorta've a lower tier in the defence department BUT it allows you to wear stuff over it like dusters and parkas, whilst being a bit better then flak. Good if you need to wear clothes or just want something that protects you and doesn't slow you down

Personally I use RIMMSqol to remove any unneccessary (in my opinion!) features, there's also a universal patch mod that incorporates hand+foot coverage in full-body armor sets like marine and plate.

how about something for schooling? Have high level pawn educate everyone on what there good at? No reason school should only be for kids right? Allso It be nice to have everyone have some decent socal skills to charm guests and possaly get along better. If I gussing socal sochal level has inpact at all on how well they get along with othere pawns in your settlement in any way.

No, no thanks) I just happened to see your comment and decided to do a good deed. I completely forgot about the existence of the mod you're talking about (I watched it a long time ago, I didn't like it). If you use it, my advice is irrelevant. I find it much more convenient and easier to write patches than to use that mod.

I can share with you a small snippet from my personal mod.

This is an increase in the speed of shield recovery:

Is siegebreaker armor shield supposed to recharge so slowly? It takes a full in-game day. Sure, extra shield is nice, but it is basically single use, and armor itself is not better than cataphract (and even high quality recon one is nearly as good) while movement speed penalty is very severe.

The files and textures for the NVG and ballistic masks are still included but the defs are removed for some reason in the 1.4 version. I would be very interested if the decision to not include the two items was intentional, blocked by some new mechanic in 1.4, or just purely an oversight as they are still listed here on the mod page as being included

Hi. Great mod which I've been enjoying for a very long time. Found a minor compatibility issue with a new mod that reskins the Empire faction to use the Outer Rim Star Wars Empire equipment https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3038088559

The armour for that covers the hands & feet slots, so the royalty armour patch from VAE breaks it slightly (half-naked stormtroopers!).

Can be fixed very simply by adding "<li>Star Wars Retheme: Vanilla Factions Expanded - Empire</li>" to line 78 of VAE's 1.4\Royalty\Patches\RoyaltyPatch.xml

"Headgear is clipping through another headgear / Balaclava renders over the helmet
The way the game code is written, there are no separate layers for headgear, which means I can't tell the game to render balaclava under the helmet. The game renders the latest worn apparel higher, so wear balaclava first and then the helmet and it should work fine. Nothing I can do about it until the game code is updated to allow for layers on headgear.


No other issues are currently being tracked.

Please report any bugs in a discussion board called “Bugs”.


Try to look at the mod code "Combine Face and Hat Items"(https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2559760431&searchtext=Combine) - there it is implemented in one of your mods, the Medieval.
