didn't have problem with crashes (i only have imporved ai mod), though i would give map 4 out of 5 as while i liked sequences first 2 maps are kind of boring. 3rd was good, 4th bridge was amazing, best one here. last one was meh too. still solid map

saw this map when i was 6, watching youtube on my mom's tablet some spanish guys playing with minecraft mods and since then i come back once week to remember the good times i had with my friends. thanks for creating this.

DAMN WHAT A NICE CAMPAIGN LIKED THE START OF THE BRIDGE PART VERY MUCH

One of the reasons I keep playing Left 4 Dead 2 is mods. If I can't play with mods installed, there's no point, no matter how fascinating the custom campaign is. Any custom campaign that can't coexist with mods is just a rogue, and there are more good custom campaigns than this one.

Yesterday was my birthday i had alot of fun on this map my friends made each second awesome i even recorded it

It is a pretty good and funny map, with lots of nostalgia too, and like tons of people said, I think it should be reoptimized again, the engine is so old that it crash if i have some mods installed and it's quite annoying, and it's sad to not being able to play it normally.
After all, good map and keep the effort!

Jesus, what a nightmare. It's a good concept, but the execution is pretty poor.

I get that it's a zombie apocalypse and that the city is being bombed, but the streets are soooooo convoluted with vehicles that it just becomes a chore to get to the next block. You either go over or around 2 or 3 things every few seconds. Some kind of suspension of belief should be here. Give me 30-40 cars across the entire bridge, not all in one spot. It also messes with the bots to an extreme degree. They just... Do nothing. Even when right next to the player.

The finale is such an eyesore, too. Having to collect so much gas over such a large range is quite literally insane. And it's not just a lot of distance, it's up and down 3 different floors. It's entirely too easy to run out of ammo or get boxed into an extreme situation.

I chose this map for my birthday i love it stands out from the others its literally LA the huge bridge a prison not to mention my favorite helicopter pls make more like this no one did this well

I tried the mod and found it absolutely pathetic. Couldn't even start the campaign as it began at 18 FPS. The sound was muffled, and the game ran fucking awful. This was on 16GB RAM, an RTX 3070, an i7 13700KF, and an NVME SSD (all with appropriate temps and health).

i actually cant seem to play this anymore. Act 1 crashes towards the end & act 2 crashes almost immediately.

DannBo Please come back and fix the optimization issues with this map, I get that the map has alot of custom assets but I think it could use some more tricks to optimize like object popin or tweaks to common infected spawns, it's most prevalent on maps 3 and 4 as alot of people run in to crashes and heavy fps drops even with minimal mods and High end pcs. It's a genuine shame as this map is very well made in every way from level design to the visuals, it just needs optimization improvements then people won't complain quite as much

I only liked episodes 1 and 2, the last chapter is very unbalanced, this campaign is not very good

I played all Daybreak versions and noticed some changes.

Version 1 - Different walk through to Version 2 and 3. Easier to Version 2 and 3 but in Finale, there are Witches in cages that block Gas Cans. (Map 4 is like MUTED in my run)
Version 2 - Some walks through in Version 1 are altered. BUT IN FINALE, NO WITCHES IN CAGES.
Version 3 - Same in Version 2 BUT Hardest Finale, why? There are MORE freaking Witch in the cages that block your way to Gas Cans than in Version 1. XD

Important note: "Workshop add-on that use high-poly custom models for survivors and infected in particular can lead to these crashes, as well as mods that generate or use custom particle or blood effects. One example that is known to cause crashes on this campaign is the "Legacy Particles Support (muzzle effects)" add-on and weapon add-on that use it." SO DONT USE TOO MUCH MODS ESPECIALLY IN MAP 3 OR YOU'LL CRASH!

For casual play: VERSION 1 and 2
For real challenge: VERSION 3

I enjoyed a lot of the locales like the beach, the bridge with the crazy slide, the cruise ship in the middle, even the fakeout with the fourth chapter. I think the concept of the finale is interesting; special infected prisoners is pretty neat. However, I definitely think the chapters are a bit long and can kinda drag after a while. This was especially apparent whenever I died during the finale. I'd have to take the long trek up the stairs all the way back to the gas cans (scavenge finales already suck when playing alone). Nevertheless, I still enjoyed the campaign as a whole.

not a bad campaign but it crashes consistently on the golden gate bridge section and I cant find a fix if the dev still does stuff on l4d2 pls fix I have a good pc so its a bug with the game or engine maybe

My favorite (and only) performance-troubled campaign. If it's not suffering from frame drops & audio issues, it's crashing while loading. Version 3 is somewhat more playable, but still crashes while loading.
