Just finished playing through this one and it was a blast. Love the simple setup, and it was one hell of a journey. Yuri didn't get back home, but his children did :')

For people who dont understand why Shotgun is the start weapon - Soviet cosmonauts actually own special triple-barreled shotgun with one barrel for rifle round and with hatchet-stock. After landing cosmonaut may spend week until evacuation. So they were supplied with weapon for self-defence from forest animals (Wolfs, bears e.t.c)

I think Laika would be a fun little addition to this

I like this starting scenario, easier than naked brutality but still challenging. And quite thematic too; provides a good background story as to why you ended on this planet.

Soviet Cosmonauts went into space with shotguns, they feared that when they land in the large siberian tundras, bears would attack them. A shotgun is historically accurate.
