when I built the shuttle, and power it on. I get overload damage. CPU efficiency is at 6%. Im a new player, so I'm guessing I made a mistake somewhere along the line.

@C.K.Nock, nice use of new gun blocks although perhaps a trifle too many? This is a paper ship and the best defence is running away. Also please credit Trig as the original designer of the ship.

Just glad I'm not crazy; I didn't know that Trig had taken down his designs.

The original was my fave for a long time and when i went play after a hiatus, I panicked because I couldn't find it!

Props to you, and Props to Trig. Thanks for your effort. This was always my goto early game ship.

I liked the shuttle (except for the cramped quarters by the pilot's seat) but I must say that since deleting it I have played 30 or 40 hours and I haven't had a single crash, when I was having 3 or 4 per hour when I was flying the Utility Shuttle. I've never experienced anything like that before. Maybe I should spawn another one in and see if it was a fluke for that particular instance of the ship.

@plc.reboot Thanks for your input. Naturally I play this ship and like others I haven't experienced the issues you highlight. Sorry it caused you a less than satisfactory game experience, but dark forces must be at play for you :-) The X10 is also a great ship, different gameplay role of course. Enjoy.

I managed to level up enough to spawn in the Merc X10, so I used a console command to destroy the Utility Shuttle. The game hasn't crashed since (5 hours or so of real-time). It certainly could be a coincidence. If I get another crash I'll post it here, because it's not my intention to besmirch this shuttle, I'm just passing on my observations. Every crash happened when I was in/on the shuttle, and the icing on the cake was that when I loaded the game again I'd spawn in hundreds of metres away from the shuttle, usually in mid-air, and fall to my doom unless I could get into god-mode fast enough to be able to float over to the shuttle, which is also in mid-air but hundreds of metres away, so that I could fly it down to the ground. It was a pain.

@jrandall You are so right. This is a fine example of Trig's work. yes it is a bit underpowered on a High-G planet with a full load but nonetheless it does the job.

@leongt1954 Yes it does have the top shutter. Due to some deco on the top getting yourself in the sweet spot to launch can be tricky. If in space ensure levelled with the O key and jetpack off then get out of the pilot seat and you should be in just the right place.

It's always sad when someone who's designs you've enjoyed take down all of their designs...

Well, plc.reboot It's really hard to say what might be happening in your game. I don't think it's the shuttle by it self, though. There are a couple of things you can do. First check your game build (upper left corner when you are playing the game). It should be at least 10.3. If it's not make sure you have the Steam updates turned on. Also use Steam to verify your game files. You can Google how to do this stuff.
I will say you are right about getting out of the pilots' seat, if the ship is rolled and not level, you will appear outside! (Didn't cause a game crash for me though.)

I've been using this shuttle for a few hours, and while there are many things that I like about it, I have been having a lot of game crashes since I started using it (I think six so far today) and that is very unlike my previous experience. It seems unlikely that this shuttle could be the cause, but every game crash has happened when something collides with the shuttle, including the pilot when they get out from the command chair and end up in the wall (because it's so cramped). Like it said... maybe it's a coincidence, but maybe there is something going on, here.

Nice job on the updates! Thanks also for preserving some of Trig's stuff on the workshop. Until I figured out how to build my own ships Trig's were always my go-to's. I learned from and received a lot of influence from his builds.
