Sorry for the delay, but I found a solution. The problem is not present in the wallpaper but in the application settings.

1-Open Wallpaper Engine

2-Click on the Hollow Knight wallpaper and select the "Cover" option.

3-image of the options (my launcher is in Portuguese, but this is to help you better)

thats what it looks like in stretch mode, only shows the bottom edge in cover. top and left edges are cleanly offscreen.

I can't see your screenshot through your link, can you send an impression through imgur.com or another image uploader?

sorta, the bottom edge can still be seen in cover mode and the bottom and right edge can be seen in stretch mode.

dunno if steam will remove it but heres a pic

this is godly, the effects come together just right. i just wish i couldnt see the edges in cover mode.
