@Snowwie This mod still has several features Lumina lacks.
Snowwie Apr 7 @ 1:42pm
The Lumina mod is also giving a lot of these options, even together with Theme Mixer 2.5
So, you have "Render it","Theme Mixer 2.5" and "Lumina", which is best to keep?

Ignore my comment. Once I created a profile other than "default" it is saving the settings. :steamhappy:

My settings are not being saved between sessions. I have reviewed the conflict list along with Skyve, and I see no disruptors. Any ideas?

Using this mod gives me "object reference not set to an instance of an object [system.nullreferenceexception]". I have removed multiple mods, and this was the only one that removing it fixed that problem.

@FairyKomet thank。按你的方法终于解决了建筑物阴面太黑看不清的问题。

The Color grading Neutral sliders uses UNITY 2017.4 Post-Processing stack V1 color grading, if anyone is interested to know what these sliders do

For some reason, the button for both Render It! and Play It! disable themselves. I can't figure out why, or how to re-enable the buttons. The buttons are there, but greyed out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Sometimes the menu only works once.

@Gr€€d Yes, I can't believe there are still people with half-working lumina mod, check the update time, the author has given up updating

this mod conflicts with lumina?

For people wanting to simulate effect of Softer Shadows mod with Render it! and Theme mixer, 1. Go to light tab and reduce the intensity of sunlight to 0, this will get rid of the differential brightness between faces of the buildings completely. 2. Go to theme mixer and adjust the exposure of sunlight until brightness fits. You could also try adjust the sliders in Render It! color tab equator colors according to the render it guide linked in the mod page. If pursuing 1 and 2, rule of thumb is total brightness = intensity + exposure, adjust intensity to achieve softer shadows

Daylight Classic + Softer Shadows + Dynamic Resolution + Real Neutral LUT,Thank you, these four mods are still valid until December 2024.

I respect and thank every mod creator, but I have to admit that after 9 years, the simplest and most effective mods in terms of light and shadow effects are still those from 8 years ago.

this 4 mods combination still cannot be replaced, such as' Render It! ',' Lumina ', and' Relight '. Although these complex mods are more flexible and free, they require patience to adjust the values. Most players just want to achieve a simple and beautiful light and shadow effect.

What I most want to adjust is the part of the building that faces away from the light. The latest Mod [Natural Lighting] can replace [Daylight Classic], but still cannot fully replace [Softer Shadows]

No need to spam it in every single mod page.

I switched to lumina as it utilizes capability code from render it and still receives regular patches today. Lumina offers basically the same function as render it does but removes some too advanced options. And for my saturation problem, Lumina also doesn't have a single option for it, but by adjusting the hue and tint I could achieve the same goal. What's more, you can directly select cubemap in Lumina.
Hopefully this comment could offer some help for other gamers came into chaos when adjusting render it options.

I am using cleyra map theme (selected by original save loading option) and cleyra lut, and render it is the only graphics mod I have subscribed. The "Default" profile in render it with the map theme and lut produces a good visual, but I'd like to set the saturation a little bit high, so I enabled "Color Grading" in render it.
However, just by enabling color grading the whole visuals look completely different, which appears to be extremely dark especially in all day/night shadows, and the contrast also looks different. What's worse, I cannot produce the same visuals as without color grading enabled by adjusting post exposure, contrast, etc.
So my question here is: is there an way in render it only changes the saturation of the overall picture without affecting shadows and other things?

Sadly, I cannot find any guides on how to use this mod with Lumina and Theme Mixer. Do the overlapping functions not compromise the mod in any way?

It's been a long time since I had to render it, how it got so bloated and Cottonwood.

I set anti aliasing to TAA, but every time I load the map it goes back to none and I have to manually set it again. Is there a way to save the settings?

Had this mod for a long time, randomly disappeared from content manager today. Anyone else have this issue? unsubscribing does not help.

@ronymoon12 -- I'm using this on MacOS without issue. Be sure to read the 'basic guide' and use the 'presets'...there are links to both in the description.

not good on mac, it washes off the colours no matter what mods I use or not use with it
Nyoko Nov 17, 2023 @ 2:11pm
@Wijnand1985 There's not a procedure you have to follow or any order of the settings to be switched before or after.
Wijnand1985 Nov 8, 2023 @ 11:45am
I have read the basic Render It! & Play It! guide and watched some YouTube video's on setting up custom themes and LUTs, and i was wondering what the right order is for all these visual settings. Am i right that i first setup the Render It! settings in the vanilla theme and vanilla LUT, save them, and then choose a custom theme with Theme mixer 2.5 and then a custom LUT?
Another question i have, is when i am setting up all the settings in Render It!, is there any advice on the order of the settings i change? For exampple, there are multiple settings that influence the brightness in some way, like sun intensity, tonemapping, bloom, exposure (exposure was in theme mixer i think). Thanks!

That’s Lumina
TYPO Oct 27, 2023 @ 6:06pm
a little confused...this basically says this mod includes boxmap replacer...but cant find anyway to select a skybox?
Mazisky Oct 24, 2023 @ 1:58pm
We need this for Cities Skylines 2 since the shadows are flickering and buggy just like Cities 1 and only this mod fixes that.
ilcicci1983 Oct 21, 2023 @ 7:21am
I tried the RTGI shader with reshade, and it's fantastic. GPU intensive but not a big deal for this game for many hardware. The only problem is that it doesn't recognize the UI and applies light and shadow effects to it too. It would be great if it were implemented correctly in Render it!. Take game graphics to a new level.
Nyoko Oct 11, 2023 @ 4:23am
Not this, Lumina. What you can do with render it is enable static fog to see cubemaps.
bakepotatou Oct 10, 2023 @ 8:39pm
I keep getting notified to switch from Cubemap replacer to this; browse the page and see NOTHING about cubemaps lol
TheGreatWolf14 Oct 6, 2023 @ 12:26am
so this mod makes the entire map extremely dark and nothing seems to fix it?

@slavonator -- Sorry to inform you, but I haven't used Relight in years, so I don't know anything about the converter.
slavonator Sep 30, 2023 @ 4:27am
@LemonsterOG thank you for putting the link to the wiki here. there is a lot of good and useful information. but I have one question about the Relight converter. I don't understand how to work with it. what are the values in column G, H and I? I understand some like red blue and green. but what is this time? and what is alpjha? I need to exactly replicate my settings from Relight Average. can you please advise me how to do it in render it? or is there a guide somewhere please?
LemonsterOG Sep 4, 2023 @ 5:20am
@dcontre10 -- Yes. All you have to do is read the wiki for this mod, which is linked in the description. Just take time to read.

@Strelok You can try to reset UUI in the setting.

@John McCreedy Render it! is not causing stuttering in the Treasure & Hunt compatible modlist. Please check your mod combination.
John McCreedy Jul 16, 2023 @ 6:48am
This causes massive stuttering for me and I have a high end PC that can run games far more demanding than CS. I know it's this mod because the moment I turn off any of the presets the stuttering immediately goes.
Mr Chicken Jul 11, 2023 @ 8:28am
TAA's Stationary Blending option is causing lines to appear on the screen, seems to be broken, any idea why? I've just disabled it entirely until I find out why.
Keallu  [author] Jul 9, 2023 @ 11:43pm
@FairyKomet: Yes, you must use Theme Mixer. Further development of Render It! is very unlikely because of the coming CS2.
FairyKomet Jul 9, 2023 @ 10:01am
Dear Modder @Keallu: I believe that Render It! does not have the function to change the in game sprites? If so do I have to use Theme mixer 2.5 if I really want to change the sprites? I understand that Render It! is a visual mod concentrated around different lighting whereas changing sprites seems more about graphics, but if both are deemed somewhat important to players why weren't the capability of changing sprites added into Render it!, and why was Theme mixer 2.5 described in the guide document as 'not needed anymore unless mixing different themes' (I personally thought mixing themes is not the same as changing sprites, if this is implied then I apologize). Additionally, is there any further plans on further integrating (or being integrated) with Theme mixer 2.5 so that in the end a single mod could deal with both changing and combining custom sprites and what currently Render It! is capable of ? Thank you, love the revolution this mod brought to the modding society!
Keallu  [author] Jul 5, 2023 @ 10:21am
@Earthlychez: They have been moved into Options instead.
