i must apologize if i seem stupid or like i know nothing... i just wanted to clarify and give advice to those with more talent than myself... on a side note... i havent played with this race as i have been giving others the same advice i gave to you... but from the looks of it... i would very much enjoy the race's ship layout.

@Piss Man it literally says I must be contacted before anyone does anything with the assets in my mod for any other project. This should be sufficient, and if it isn't, I will have their mod taken down.
Piss Man 13. nov. kl. 22:46
anyhow... my point of commenting is to recommend that you add to your description that you require permission before adult addons are made
Bun  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. kl. 22:43
@Piss Man there is also the part at the bottom of my mod page that directly states if anyone wishes to use the assets in the mod for another project, that they need to contact me first via discord. If they ignore this as well (again) then I will have their mod removed (again)
Bun  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. kl. 22:40
@Piss Man they already tried adding support years ago by taking my assets and editing them without permission, and as such I forced them to take it down. If they went and added them back now, they would be breaking the agreement we have already had for years.

If they want to add my mod's support to it, they don't just get to do it on their own without my consent.
Piss Man 13. nov. kl. 22:36
i will just say that its Adult oriented Addons... i do not wish to make anyone uncomfortable
Bun  [ophavsmand] 13. nov. kl. 14:52
@Piss Man what is SxB
Piss Man 13. nov. kl. 12:53
i recommend you specify in the description weather you object to SxB related addons, if one does not want such content based on your mod its best to say so.
Bun  [ophavsmand] 10. nov. kl. 0:40
yeah, there can only be one version of a mod installed at once or the game might start freaking out
unturned gamer 9. nov. kl. 12:15
After that, would I have to uninstall the mod that i made the edits for?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 9. nov. kl. 11:25
That you'll have to find on your own, as you will need a tool to do it that I don't have links to offhand. Just google like "extract .pak" and you'll find something
unturned gamer 9. nov. kl. 10:35
And how do I extract the mod files?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 9. nov. kl. 7:42
You have to extract the mod files from the pak and use that in your local mods folder instead of the workshop copy once you extract it
unturned gamer 9. nov. kl. 4:43
I'm not seeing any zip files?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 8. nov. kl. 13:40
It’ll be somewhere in the mod files in the corresponding folder for whatever type of thing it is, if it’s materials it’ll be somewhere like that etc.
unturned gamer 8. nov. kl. 9:34
The one that'll allow me to edit the item ids and what not,
Bun  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. kl. 11:58
which file do you refer to specifically
unturned gamer 7. nov. kl. 10:33
Any recommendations for how to open the file?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 7. nov. kl. 2:10
Find the file that’s using the duplicate ID with the matching type, then change that number and save the file then when you launch the game it should work. If there is another ID that conflicts, change that one too and repeat until it stops being broken
unturned gamer 6. nov. kl. 16:46
Alright, what exactly can I do to change id numbers?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. kl. 23:22
the file number is visible in the link of the steam workshop page for it
unturned gamer 4. nov. kl. 22:34
Question, what is the workshop file number?
Bun  [ophavsmand] 4. nov. kl. 7:35
@unturned gamer there are 4 possible fixes for this issue:

1. Stop using my mod (not ideal)
2. Stop using whatever mod that is from (not ideal)
3. Ask the author of that mod to change the IDs so they no longer conflict (less ideal as it also breaks every previous save)
4. Fix it yourself by extracting the mod files, finding the bad ones, and changing the IDs to another value (ideal, but tedious and annoying)
unturned gamer 4. nov. kl. 5:01
Just had a issue with crylanpentafruitseed.object being a duplicate of protoshipsupport.material on the id side, is there a fix to that, or?

@Bun I did find some more resources on this and found a guide that contains the things you need to help add on the bounty hunter support. In case the discussion thread I opened doesn't show up yet, here's the guide (linked below) which has a download template that you can pull from.
Omeruin's Detailed Race Template: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3389634436
It should have all the relevant details, including the bounty hunter support, that you'll need in the template download linked in that post and has additional links to other guides. Hope this helps!
Novie 5. sep. kl. 4:28
Ah... right, I don't know how the bounty compat would work since never messed with modding other than adding mods to my game saves. I did find some forum posts about modding help for adding bounty support to custom races, though haven't found much else unfortunately.
Hopefully this can guide you along, wish I could help further :/

Bun  [ophavsmand] 2. sep. kl. 15:55
@Novie definitely is a possibility, though at the current moment I actually do not know how to do that. If you're aware of any documentation on the subject you can point me to, I can look into it. Right now the only NPCs that the mod actually has files for are generic tenants, guards (which I think work), merchants, and villagers (from guard.npctype, merchant.npctype, and villager.npctype, respectively) and the special merchant NPC for the outcast gear. I have no knowledge of Protogen Redux, and was never contacted on my mods integration therein.
Novie 2. sep. kl. 15:19
Hey there, is there a possibility to add bounty compatibility with your mod or does it already exist?
Currently getting errors or random glitches with em not spawning properly, especially when paired with Protogen Redux which has heavy integration with yours.
Can you confirm if your mod supports being summoned in bounty targets?
Mostly asking since the Protogen Redux is attempting to add them into the peacekeeper bounty targets.
Omori 22. aug. kl. 10:01
there are very cute!! i love this mod!
chesse 1. maj kl. 11:44
Everytime i check the crash log after uninstaling whatever mod caused the crash it still continues to find others,it could be also that i have too many race mods
Bun  [ophavsmand] 1. maj kl. 11:27
@chesse generally if you open the crash log file and look for "error" it'll eventually bring you to something that may explain what went wrong, and what exactly is conflicting
chesse 1. maj kl. 6:56
i think from the 500+ mods that will either take too long or break even more things, thanks for the help either way, maybe theres one thing in particular that breaks it
Bun  [ophavsmand] 30. apr. kl. 23:47
@chesse that isn't a fault of this mod specifically, it's because two mods conflicting with each other. You could say the same thing about the other mods it's conflicting with as well, it would be the same. All I can suggest in your case is to try extracting the mod files and placing them in your starbound mods folder manually, then finding and editing materials so they no longer conflict. Unless something else is somehow horribly wrong anyway
chesse 30. apr. kl. 14:40
for whatever reason this mod made my game unable to reboot, mostly because it has issues loading ship materials and then ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with other mods
Allen_Dart 16. apr. kl. 15:50
how do i spawn the npcs via command?
SavageLavaGod 24. mar. kl. 12:36
Guard protogens don't spawn, I'm not sure why. I have a room with a protogen closet, tv, display, and table. I have 2 war chests. I also have a durasteel bed. No protogen guard though, only other races
Bun  [ophavsmand] 23. mar. kl. 23:26
@PrinceJaxonHellsing Unfortunately I can't really provide support for that issue as it seems to be something on the end of Frackin' Universe, and not my mod in particular. Until the devs of that mod fix things I suggest disabling either my mod or their mod for the time being
PrinceJaxonHellsing™ 23. mar. kl. 14:24
Frackin universe updated and I think it broke the compatibility for this mod. I progressed through the start of the game with Frackin universe installed (it was the protogen ship at first), and eventually fully fixed my ship to T1 and it's a different ship. It's using the human ship model, with protogen doors and the protogen sail. When I use the sail it's using the vanilla sprite for the AI in the sail, along with hud from different mods I have like the icon next to the sails name and the name itself being holly from the lyceen race mod. The sail also has a bugged text saying "$ status -f". There's also no teleporter. I chose the regular ship and not the BYOS type and that was fine at the start too as it was using the protogen ship model
Kinsect 8. mar. kl. 20:27
That custom Protogen ship looks so Awesome!
I wish there was a mod that make's it available for other races T-T
Bun  [ophavsmand] 23. feb. kl. 21:58
@Emerald Not yet, though its something I do want to add if I can figure out the tools.
Emerald 23. feb. kl. 20:55
Does your mod have towns/villages?
Nato [RoN] 29. jan. kl. 10:10
ok
Bun  [ophavsmand] 29. jan. kl. 8:57
@Windows XP literally not possible, check your error logs to figure out what’s actually wrong.
Nato [RoN] 28. jan. kl. 11:38
it bricked my game
Ancient Arthropod 29. dec. 2024 kl. 22:48
terrible fortune.\... please...... someone take this upon himself... for t9/10 or betterships compatibility...
Bun  [ophavsmand] 28. dec. 2024 kl. 0:31
@Grug gaming for the ship? No, that would require more art assets to be made for the ship and thats kind of an absurd undertaking

For other stuff idk
Ancient Arthropod 27. dec. 2024 kl. 23:53
t9/10 compat?
Archeddragon936 15. dec. 2024 kl. 19:38
I like using the armor in vanity slot while having regular armor underneath tbh
Lurmey 10. dec. 2024 kl. 11:37
Okay.. well it doesn't seem to actually make it clear in any of the descriptions that the resprite is incompatible with the customisation and patch, but I can assume it's because of the tail changes. Either way I removed the resprite mod. Thanks
Lurmey 10. dec. 2024 kl. 11:31
Thanks for letting me know - normally I am pretty good to read mods but in this instance I wasn't the one asking for the mod, it was SirSmore below, and they found a collection with all the Protogen-related mods together so I figured they were compatible. I did exclude one that was for FU which we don't use. I'll take a look at each of the mods to fix the conflicts.
