A mod that forces automatic end turns is a possibility? The in-game option sometimes stops the automatic end for whatever reason

If this mod didn't skip AI moves when that move involves the player (getting attacked etc), it would be absolutely perfect. It's easy to miss getting attacked entirely sometimes as it is, with the only evidence being less HP on your unit.

@Elysia, I have tried under a number of different scenarios with only this mod enabled and was both able to create a new game and resume a previous game successfully. Can you please disable all other mods and try again? If it is still failing, are you utilizing any special configurations or utilizing the extension mod?

Hi Zugaikotsu, I have had 3 test games.. No stuck or crash anymore. Guess some other mods were screwing it up.

This is perhaps the best mod out here. Wow. THANK U SO MUCH

@Talha, the mod can be turned on through Mod Menu in the main menu of the game. It should be able to be toggled on/off between saves, so it should automatically load in on the next loading of the game.

Agree. too fast or too slow. ugh, and with auto next on you don't even see what happens or that your troops died or are about to be in trouble. it's a bit annoying

Yeah I would definitely be interested in a combat/movement speed option as well; where you could adjust the actual speed that the animations are played. It feels like quick combat/movement is way to fast, but on the other hand, when you leave quick combat/movement off, it can feel quite slow sometimes, especially when you're using air units!

@RambelZambel, I remember seeing some SetAnimationSpeed(float) and SetSpeed(float) functions laying around at one point, although I am unsure if this is related to units. I would recommend trying to hack into those and seeing it it sticks. It is also possible it is a DLL thing that can't be set, as well. I haven't dug that deep into it.

does anyone know if u can edit the quick combat and movement speed in a vanlla file?, so its faster than vanilla but not as fast as quickmode?

Apologies for the late reply on this one. I believe I had fixed the bug where it would discard settings done while in middle of the game (assuming you did them during your own turn before you ended), since it should be storing it for the first time you end your turn. If it is not working, following Muha's suggestion or changing them in the main screen's option menu before you load in should work.

Disable this mod > enable and then disable fast combat and fast movement in options > activating this mod again. Run a quick game to test. Let me know how it goes.

Hi, I`m sorry, I have to write to in Russian, because my English is not good. I do have a problem with this mod. I can not disable fast battle and fast movement during my turn. When I turn it off manually, everything became fast at the next turn again. Translate pls.

Thank you so much, I have really wanted to play on large maps with domination only (Murder them all!) but once you get satelite or any sort of scouting arrangement up games take years

All, I have posted a secondary mod, which should allow everyone to specify certain options to allow battle animations when it is not your turn. This framework should allow me to more easily handle requests in the future if they do come up. At this time, I'm going to forego an UI option element, but I may revisit that in the future.
I wanted to thank everyone for their patience and appreciation for this, as I know it has been a long wait. If there are any more suggestions or something I missed with this mod, please let me know.

It is crazy that something that existed for years in the CIV series needs a mod now. If you find a solution to disable by choice if battle animation trigger on AI towards your units it will be just perfect. But this is still godsend, thank you

@Deems, appreciate the feedback.

I am hoping to get some sort of toggle in for AI battling your units/allied units/etc (preferably a UI toggle), however, I have not had the time to sit down and play with it due to some personal life stuff. I'm hoping to jump back into the modding scene within the next couple of months, though. Please keep an eye out.

Great mod! Increases quality of life while retaining immersion in the game.

Can it be done where combat that is initiated by AI, but involving your units, is not sped up?

Yeah, @gmnowels, it flips them on, but if you just turn them back off in the options, they tend to stay off indefinitely, at least for me.

@gmnowels, can you provide me with details about how you are hitting it? Preferably what is happening between turns. Did you declare war, had a new City State meet you, get a trade deal, etc. Any information to help me isolate and fix it would be appreciated.

Just reloaded a save from two turns prior to winning the war via loyalty, and my units moved normally after getting past it. So it would seem I can confirm that this issue has been resolved.

Having used this mod for two full (marathon) games, I have now for the first time had it toggled for the player. The only thing I can think of that could've triggered it was that a civ I was at war with was eliminated on their turn (last city lost due to loyalty loss). I also got a trade request from a different civ in the same turn, which could be related. Nothing out of the ordinary for the rest of the turn switch, or the turn before.

@wulf, Navigate to your Steam Install Directory (By Default: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content) and search for and open up Zug_FastForwardAI_UI.lua file in Notepad or other text editor and remove the line:
"UserConfiguration.SetValue ("QuickCombat", combatValue);"

I do hope to do, as @egg suggested, a UI for it, however, I have not found the time to interlace it to one.
