@LogicDeath: I can not confirm that, the map still works on my end, I tried singleplayer, hosted non dedicated and ran it via my rootserver and joined. Everything was working as normal in all three cases.

Could you elaborate on the problem you've encountered?

Anyone else having issues?

It is finally done! My Computer can DevKit again! :D

See patchnotes in the description for this first little patch.

Now that I can properly use the DevKit again I'll start to work on the next big issue which is the overblown brightness of the daylight. For now the only advice I can give is to set gamma to something around 1.7.
I've tried tweaking the lightsources, Daylight Matinee's, the TrueSky BP's but so far nothing seems to solve the issue. I haven't found any real solutions mentioned anyhere at the unreal forums or elsewhere. I'll research a little further but as it appears now I might have to "redo" the whole weather and lighting systems. When I first started to create this map there where only two official maps available and accessible within the DevKit. (The Island and Scorched Earth) Therefore I used TheIslands old weather and lighting. That's the reason for the current issue.

I'll try to fix the light as soon as I can!

Aaaaand again I have to apologize for the delayed patch. :/

Temperatures have droppd significantly but still my computer does not cooperate. I've just ordered additional 16gb of ram which should arrive tomorrow or if I'm unlucky monday. I reeeeaaaally reeeeaaally hope this will fix the issue of the devkit freezing when cooking the mod.

The only upside to the delay it is the fact, that the changes to the map are only of a cosmetic nature for this upcoming patch, so at least the map is competely usable as it is now.

...now....if only there was a way to import ones' own music library into ARK.... *Dreams of having the Chccobo racing theme playing while racing around this map. *big sigh...

Just a heads up about the (obviously) delayed update:

I've tried to 'cook' and upload the patch a few times over the last week but due to the current hot weather it was to no avail. No kidding! My computer isn't the best to begin with when it comes to the Ark-Devkit - when 'cooking' the mod both my cpu and ram usage spike up to 100%. The cooling fans are running with such high rpm's, that it sounds like I was permanently using my vacuum cleaner all night. Even at night the temperatures inside my little appartement are beeing kept at a steady 35°C when I'm running the devkit. -.-

Thankfully the weather has cooled down a bit since yesterday, so I'll try again tonight.

I'm really sorry for the delay and I thank all of you for your patience! :)

I would've never thought this little mod of mine would become this popular. Thanks guys, I'm floored! :D

It took me a while longer than I had hoped for to complete the promised fixxes. Setting up my own server cluster took quite some time in the recent weeks and also reallife was quite demanding the last days. However I've finally done all the changes in the ArkDevKit and I'll cook and upload the patch early sunday morning if all goes as planned. (I haven't got the best hardware, so cooking and uploading the mod may take me around 4-5 hours, thus the delay until sunday. Look at the description above for the list of upcoming fixxes.)

lol, I've tested the tracks with wooly rhinos, iguanodons, direbears, ravagers and enforcers. How come I didn't think of Terrorbirds? xD

As of now I don't intend to further change the existing landmass. Any additional landmasses will be situated on the ocean on the southeastern corner (the ocean surrounding the "shooting range" Island) But other than that the landscape will stay as it is now. :)

Correction: the problem with swampdinos spawning on the racetrack has already been fixed. I just forgot to apply "destroywilddinos" on my Testserver. Therefore the only remaining issue is the aforementioned tekplate that doesn't show the correct textures.

Missing meshes have been fixed. There is still a minor issue with swamp dinos spawning at the south west corner of the racetracks. Also there is a little tekplate on top of the "Eventhub" Tower and adjacent to the transmitter that do not show the right texture but instead are glowing bright blue. Will fix that later today.

There are a bunch of meshes missing. That's also the reason for dieing when spawning at the "eventhub". I will upload a fix later tonight.
