Got stumped a couple of times and had to watch the video for the next step more than once. Yeah, this is the advanced version all right.

Great map, my solution is exactly the same as that in the video.

Yes, that's my cup of tea :D but I also enjoy to have easier maps in the mix!

I don't know what the first step in the video is but from my recollection of excessively playing the map, I made a cubestacking and made one fall through the fizzler while the fizzler was deactivated . I don't think that's questionable. It's certainly not for everyone, but Jonatan's descriptions always stated "A complex puzzle for hardcore Portal players."

Thank you for the recommendation, I know a couple of Greykarel's maps from when I was a Portal player rather looking for easy maps, so I skipped most of them. I will definitely check them out later! At the moment I am playing through Donderbus' workshop and only have a couple of maps left. Afterwards I had planned on playing through your workshop because of this map and the nice 3 minute map :)

Thank you for mapping!

I guess there is no backup of the database, all is gone. Some people may have a collection of old maps.

There is a video of Perplexo. Wow, already the first step is... questionable. The question is, when does something go too far. Sometimes it's hard to tell.

From these two maps I can tell what your cup of tea is. You probably already know Greykarel's maps. If not, special recommendation: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=142221391

"Perplexo" by Jonatan. Unfortunately I can't find a link since thinkingswithportals.com is down, but I still have the file on my drive. I am not sure, whether I will ever come back to playing that map again, though.
Is there a way to get hold of all the maps posted to thinkingwithportals? It really would be a
shame if they were all lost...

Well done, glad you enjoyed. I'm a bit shocked to hear how long it took to solve. To be honest, this is exactly the type of puzzle that would test my patience to the limit if I would have to solve it. So kudos to your motivation.

Which map is it that you spent more than 10 hours on?
Special Agent Dale Cooper 21. aug. 2016 kl. 5:06
By the way: I think this was the longest any chamber I actually solved took me. There are a couple of maps on which I spent more time, like "Seven Gates" by Jonatan, but I didn't solve them and admitted defeat at some point. However, this record could be broken in the future since there is at least one map in my playlist on which I have spent more than 10 desperate hours and which I still haven't solved. :D

In relation to my comment on another map of yours: Nice 6 hours map :)
This is a real gem, even better than the original Heart Chamber. I don't have much time now, just solved and really should have been on my way 15 minutes ago, but it has been a terrific pleasure! I cheated slightly, though: I was a little bit demotivated and then had a friend watch the youtube solution to tell me whether I was on the right track ;)
Thank you for mapping!
Special Agent Dale Cooper 17. aug. 2016 kl. 12:22
Thank you for answering that. I have now spent 45 minutes in the chamber without making too much progress and actually that's quite enjoyable. However, I do have an idea for what the final setup might look like. Have to quit for now, will probably be back in a couple of hours :)

That is correct. Without the light bridge it would be possible for the cube to be tilted on the button, pointing the laser upwards and perfectly hitting the laser catcher. That's the only reason.

As it was with the original Heart Chamber, I already had (remix) installed but had not played it. Now I just solved the original and took a quick look around in the (remix) and I am very much looking forward to my next portal session with this map within the next few days. However, I do have a question right at the start: I can't unravel what the lightbridges are for. Since they won't go through portals in the angled portalable walls, they don't seem to have any purpose in the course of solving the map. Is that correct?

Thanks for playing. It's easy to understand why this puzzle didn't get much love, but it's nice to see that some people enjoyed it.

Had a rough time with lasers, but the solution is quite straightforward if u ask yourself what rooms can be linked together with portals: it helps to guide you in the right direction. Also, the knowledge of the existence solution helps you, but it feels kind of like cheating... Typical tricks with the "exchange" of cubes, and the destruction of a cube between 2 fizzlers, like in mindsweeper, for example. All in all, the map is amazing by its apparent simplicity, and the complexity of its solution.

Straight favorited. This is art.
But please, spend more time on this than a simple hour.
jandlml 19. feb. 2016 kl. 17:00
oh man, not again. i really thought i was on the right track this time. i made it to where i actually opened the door but was on the wrong side of the room. just couldnt figure out how to switch myself for the cube. had to look at the walkthru again. totally off track. im with you ganymede. couldnt follow. maybe one day i will be good enough to solve one of your maps. keep them coming toncica

Updated to make the look simpler, all antlines except laser.
toncica  [ophavsmand] 11. dec. 2014 kl. 4:48
The light bridge is to prevent the player from putting the cube on the edge of the button and have it at an angle pointing directly at the laser catcher. It would be easy to do, with the light bridge the cube can only point horizontally.

I tried this map for about an hour and gave up. My brain hurt just from watching your demo (and it looked like you were having some trouble remembering what to do as well).

I have too much trouble seeing laser angles. I can't judge them very well. I'm sure this is a brilliant puzzle, but it's beyond my puzzle solving abilities.

By the way, why the light bridges? What happens if they aren't there?
toncica  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2013 kl. 6:41
Cube jump? If you refer to my demo that's not really needed, I only made sure not to touch the laser so the ending could be shorter if you don't mind to perhaps bump into the laser. Maybe the trickiest part is to stop thinking about using both cubes at the same time for laser redirection.
MeatBag 11. nov. 2013 kl. 6:31
Found my mistake but don't know how much time I would spent to find it... cube on cube button, cube on light bridge, player on laser button, laser into catcher through portals. Also I dunno about cube jump :) .Oh, my brain... :D
toncica  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2013 kl. 4:04
It doesn't matter in which direction the laser points when the cube lands on the cube button. It's only important that you destroy the cube to disable the one fizzler , in order to be able to keep one portal at the exit section and one at the cube button section. The laser will be directed through those portals to aim at the catcher.
I'll make a demo if you want to.
MeatBag 11. nov. 2013 kl. 3:49
Lol, I can't :D My logic: I got "first" cube at the exit, "second" somewhere. If I will destroy first it will drop on button and will be aimed to the wall as it was at start. So if I will have 1 portal at the exit section and 2 portal near cube button I can send laser to receiver to open door. Also I need 1 cube on button to enable laser and 1 cube on button that will open exit i.e. I need 3 cubes or I should stand on one of the buttons. But if I'll stay on button I won't be able to go to the exit. I can't understand that... >_<
Spent few hours without result...
toncica  [ophavsmand] 11. nov. 2013 kl. 2:58
At one point you have to bring the first cube to the exit section and then destroy it at the right time.

Looks good, I'll try it in a few days. :)

Your version became very hard. I'm gonna rebuild mine to get it working.
