Thank you soo Much.
Dragatus  [author] Aug 1, 2024 @ 11:12am
As far as I know there's no reason why it wouldn't. So yes, I expect it does still work.
Hanno Barca Aug 1, 2024 @ 10:34am
This i still work?
shaftnotfound Dec 20, 2023 @ 5:00am
Thanks
Dragatus  [author] Dec 8, 2023 @ 7:35am
I don't know because I don't know the Rich Childhood mod or what it does. If it messes with childhood and education focuses then the two mods are not compatible. But if it does something else, like add more childhood events, then it probably is compatible with my mod.
shaftnotfound Dec 7, 2023 @ 11:51am
Is this compatible with rich childhood?
Dragatus  [author] Jul 29, 2022 @ 6:15am
Glad to hear that. Thank you for the kind words.
Saxton Fail Jul 28, 2022 @ 7:16pm
This mod is a certain Must-Have when it comes to ck2, thank you!
Dragatus  [author] Dec 18, 2021 @ 11:14pm
This mod requires Conclave.
Riekopo Dec 18, 2021 @ 10:56pm
Does Way of Life or Conclave have to be enabled for this mod to work?
Dragatus  [author] Dec 18, 2021 @ 10:39pm
I don't think so. It should work with the last patch.
Riekopo Dec 18, 2021 @ 7:13pm
Does need update?
Dragatus  [author] Jun 26, 2020 @ 10:05pm
I haven't played CK2 in a while, but I see no reason why it wouldn't work. So I'm 99,9% sure it still works.
Scoops Jun 26, 2020 @ 8:02am
Does this mod still work?
SonicTheWarthog Mar 2, 2020 @ 12:06pm
gonna try, thank god, sick of the stupid ai that sometimes get control of my kids when my wife is a ruler or something that pick the worst education for my kids. Hopefully this fixes their stupidity.
Dragatus  [author] Sep 17, 2019 @ 11:05pm
No worries. I enjoy getting comments on my mods. :)
Nagisa Fawkes Sep 17, 2019 @ 6:38pm
Oh, wow, I completely misunderstood what the mod was about. For some weird reason, I thought an "AI" would select the focuses for you. I'm sorry about the confusion.
Dragatus  [author] Sep 17, 2019 @ 5:52pm
Well, if it's your daughter you should pick her focus. The mod only affects the children of AI rulers. The education of children in your court is still up to you.
Nagisa Fawkes Sep 17, 2019 @ 5:12pm
I see, thanks for replying. I use other mods, but I think that's the only one that could conflict with yours. Do you have any idea of what else could cause this?
Dragatus  [author] Sep 17, 2019 @ 5:04pm
The two mods should be fully compatible.
Nagisa Fawkes Sep 17, 2019 @ 3:53pm
Does this mod conflict with the Rich Childhood mod, in any way? I ask because my daughter turned 6, but she didn't have her focus selected automatically.
Dragatus  [author] Sep 17, 2019 @ 3:55am
I think that levels the playing field between player and AI. But I do admit it's not really roleplaying. I might update the mod by using government as an additional weight to push the AI more towards RP.
Transylvandrei Sep 17, 2019 @ 1:15am
Wouldn't this lead to the higher tier educations becoming more frequent if the AI prioritizes the right education for the right traits? As it is now the distribution is about even between tier 1, 2, 3 and 4 educations because the choices do not correlate to traits that are likely to improve them. By making smart choices a player can get characters ahead of the curve. Now the AI does the same thing so the curve is shifted to overrepresent the high tier educations.

Don't you think this is problematic?
Dragatus  [author] Sep 16, 2019 @ 12:55am
It would likely be a similar story.
Aven Oul Sep 15, 2019 @ 12:26pm
ok another. What about Guardians of azeroth or would the overwrite thing be the same?
Dragatus  [author] Sep 15, 2019 @ 5:46am
I checked and there are some conflicts. EK edits both of the files so either it will overwrite my or my mod will overwrite EK. In the event my mod overwrites EK you'll get a bug where undead characters will be given childhood focus and the cultural effects on choosing education will be lost.

EK namely will favor things like say Martial education for Nord children. And that's defined in the second file.
Dragatus  [author] Sep 15, 2019 @ 3:31am
I would have to download Elder Kings and check the files to be sure. My best blind guess is that it won't break anything, but it may not have any effect either.
Aven Oul Sep 15, 2019 @ 2:07am
would this work along with the mod elder kings which is 3.0.1.1?
Dragatus  [author] Sep 5, 2019 @ 1:27am
It should be. At worst it will take a bit of time to take hold because only the new children will be getting their focuses assigned by the mod's logic. But I see no way how it could possibly break a save.
HolyMolyOllyPoly Sep 4, 2019 @ 11:18pm
Is this save game compatible?
mightynintendo Aug 24, 2019 @ 4:58am
i want this mod but with a best-guardian switcher (for children that I don't have time to keep up with, not for my direct children) that has the most compatible guardian for the most preferable influence traits and/or interference traits used to educate adolescents. maybe put a limit on this feature so that children aren't being constantly moved around the realm. with a lot of careful planning it's easy for me to produce a couple super champion children every third generation (i don't quite know why every 3rd gen... maybe a tutor dies or leaves and i don't get a notification for it). but it feels a bit one-sided when i can reliably make Augustus rulers while everything the AI produces that isn't scripted is pure garbage.
Dragatus  [author] Jul 28, 2019 @ 11:06pm
Thanks.
Cafecito.Con.Miel Jul 28, 2019 @ 12:53pm
Hey bro, great mod
Rustic Clover Jun 15, 2019 @ 10:36am
Fair enough. :)
Dragatus  [author] Jun 15, 2019 @ 1:34am
Sorry, but I'm not interested in making an AGOT version. Besides, AGOT already does what this mod does, just to a lesser extent.
Rustic Clover Jun 10, 2019 @ 4:14pm
Could you make a version that is compatible with AGOT?
Dragatus  [author] Jun 9, 2019 @ 3:12pm
I updated the mod with a fix. I also altered behaviour somewhat, so that highborn children are more commonly trained in etqiquette rather than humility.
Dragatus  [author] Jun 9, 2019 @ 1:15pm
Good catch. Thanks for the report.
Clemente Jun 9, 2019 @ 11:44am
In 00_zeus_education_focuses.txt, you've forgot to complete line 122 ("is_female"), which is making some useless ambitions to appear. Completing it fixes the problem.
Sulphuric_Glue Jun 9, 2019 @ 8:26am
@CommandantAsparagus This is totally false. Bad kings were rare, we just hear about them a lot because the decent ones don't make good stories. Most kings were not exceptionally great, and most kings were not bad, they just kept things ticking over.
For each bad king you can name there are probably fifty who were fine.
lifeiveneverlived Jun 9, 2019 @ 6:46am
sometimes good kings should be rare, most kings were bad. was hoping some mod would come around and portray that sort in its accurate light
Dragatus  [author] Jun 9, 2019 @ 6:31am
Yes, I have been thinking that Etiquette might be more appropriate than Humility for highborn girls in agnatic realms.
65y KIKO Jun 9, 2019 @ 4:18am
I'd suggest having Etiquette used for the female relatives of a ruler as well, as long as they're not the heir.
SalahadDin Jun 6, 2019 @ 6:39am
well,nice
Waffle Jun 4, 2019 @ 1:24pm
seems pretty well thought out
