damn, that sucks cuz ur tank cannon mods are the literal best ones ive found, every other mod either doesnt work at all or the sound is garbage

@Cona6789, Ah, sorry about that. I don't play SE anymore so I haven't checked up on things. I guess the new update must have broken something in the code or script. I'm also no good with coding so I can't really fix it anyways. Whiplash is the one who does the coding so you can ask him about that if you need a solution. I'm not sure if anyone has re-uploaded my mod with fixes but you can look around for those if you want. Sorry, I can't be more helpful right now.

on new automation update if your gun mods arent at top of mod list theres a spammed message on screen that reads "Exception in update" that doesnt go away ever

Why does the ammunition use platinum? Uranium makes sense, but Im not sure about platinum

Correction: You do NOT need to download the required mod yourself. This mod will automatically do it for you when you use it. The weapons framework allows whip to keep the gun from breaking every time there is an update.

@meingott, Ah, yes... I do plan on making more guns but it'll take some time as I have other commitments to tend to. Currently there is one gun in the works (roughly 35%ish done).

Inky, ever considered making even more cool cannons? Like 50mm autocannon (imagine new strafing run capabilities!) or 105/120 large grid turret? Not atually suggesting anything, just curious of future plans,

Update: Mod has been fixed and is now working. Special thanks to Whiplash141 for fixing the scripts and data files.

NOTE: There is now a required mod to go along with this one. Please make sure you download Whip’s Weapon Framework. (This mod allows Whip to auto update the cannon’s script and keep it from breaking every time Keen updates).

Hi again, I was wondering if it isnt a bug that a 105 shell requires 17 times the amount of platinum and about 6 times the uranium a vanilla missile does?

Update: Volume of cannon has been decreased. Hopefully it should still be loud enough to sound like a cannon without destroying everyone's ear drums. If it is still too loud please let me know.

Update: I've fixed the collision issue, You should have less clang and be able to put the gun closer to other blocks now.

@ToedPeregrine4, Press the subscribe button. It's that easy. The mod should now automatically download via the workshop and you should be able to enable it in game via the mods tab in the main menu. :)

@Noir_Arashi, %appdata% -> Space Engineers -> Storage. Delete the 105 folder. Then restart SE and load up the mod again. It should download a fresh version of the script. This is the only fix I can think of.

Is there a possibility of repair? I am still willing to use this gun despite the high quality model and excellent ballistic performance.But if it is still only this damage, it is really regrettable ;)

@Noir_Arashi, this is probably cause by a left over script file in the storage folder that hasn't updated with my updates. Idk why, keen is weird with their codes.

After testing, no more problems with the disappearance of the projectile were found.
But it seems that the range and damage are not in line with what you are marking. It still only breaks through a heavy piece of a piece, and even if I delete the file and re-download it.
I don't have any clues :/

Update: Changed the duration of the muzzle flash to 0.5 seconds from 5 seconds. This will make it much less annoying when firing. You will no longer be blinded for a long time after firing.

Update: Damage increased from 850 to 1900. Will instantly destroy rotors now and two shots will kill a cockpit. Can now penetrate up to 3 blocks of heavy armor.

Been testing this with friends and so far it doesnt seem to be doing much damage at all, it does damage to the light armor, but it fails to break anything like rotors, cockpits etc. It makes me sad that the small vanilla gatling gun would fare better. I suggest you increase the damage by a fair amount, because so far while I love this mod, I cannot put it on any of my tanks. It can only penetrate armor but do no damage.

I suggest you take a look at how much damage vanilla rockets as reference. Hope you manage to fix this. Thanks for making the mod.

@Mindlessmrawesome, The explosion and smoke give it that extra bit of realism but I get what you mean.... they last for a long while and it gets annoying. Unfortunately that is not something I can change. This is the kind of scripting stuff that is beyond me. I don't know how to reduce the flash or make the animation cycle faster, and I don't want to remove it flat out cause I enjoy having it. If in the future I do figure out a way to change it so it's less annoying, I'll let you know.

Very good gun. Looks cool, has nice sounds, reload is balanced... The one problem I'm having with it is that it's explosion effect when the gun fires makes it so you briefly can't see where the shot went. I noticed in the model that it has a fume extractor, and the barrel also has holes in it. Perhaps due to these two design features you could remove of the explosion smoke stuff? It'd help with rangefinding and aiming properly.

@woostyboy, This cannon is designed for light vehicles... so I need to keep the recoil down so they don't flip over. Don't worry, I'll make a more heavy duty MBT cannon later. As for smoke dispensers I don't know how to do that.... you should as AWG or Whip, they have a much better understanding of the coding needed for that than I do.

@BLU3ST33L, I've balanced this towards normal weight and sized vehicles not the insanely armored stuff everyone has. I'll have more heavier duty cannons later but for now I'm happy with this as it is.

Totally agree with BLU3ST33L. Can we have this one, exactly the same trajectory and speed, but a little more recoil please? Looks SOOOO cool on tanks when they 'buck' slightly!

@BLU3ST33L, Thanks for the praise but this gun does have bullet drop. The muzzle velocity is very high so the flight trajectory is flat but it does have bullet drop. As for making more guns, I'll probably make one or two more guns.... it all depends on how much time I have. Though for now, my main goal is to maintain and improve this mod little by little.

More guns like this! Sadly most weapons mods similar to this are either ugly or have bullet drop which makes them incompatible with AI turrets. But this mod is perfect, looks great and has flat trajectory. We need more weapons like this one!

Update: Fixed the assembler ammo bug. You should now be able to construct the ammo in survival mode. If there are anymore problems please let me know. :)

@Dynamiteside, There is ammo for the gun, but it appears the assembler is not recognizing the ammo... thanks for letting me know. I will work on a fix but it might take a bit of time since I am currently busy so bare with me. I'll get this fixed as soon as possible. :)

Great looking and sounding cannon but I wasnt able to find / make the ammo for it in Survival, so i wanted to ask if there just is no ammo "item" yet or what it is since it isnt named in the description
