@A Leaf on the Wind Unfortunately, I got to agree with you, this mod does seem mess to up the recruitment units cards, making them all look like bow ashigaru. Hopefully this can maybe get fixed. Dont remember it doing this before and was tearing my hair up trying to find the culprit

@Juuken Not for me. Fresh install and just this mod and i had the errors I described. I used it years ago with no problem, but not in 2024.

The mod works perfectly fine.

Unfortunately the mod seems broken in 2024. Using only this mod, my recruitment unit icons show all units as Bow Ashigaru. And in battle all units look like samurai, even if they are just ashigaru. I'd recommend Vastator Unit Style mod for more variation in units since this one doesn't seem to work anymore.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong but I've downloaded and activated the mod (part 1+2) yet I still get the vanilla units.

Can you put real Uesugi clan logo on breastplates like on pictures, instead of that Kenshin letter. One with two squirrels, like I think it is put on Ogigayatsu clan mon?

@VEF215 I found that I had to disable all my mods. Open the game. Load the campaign or start a custom battle. Close the game and re-enable everything. Hope it works for you.

Was this updated recently? An issue in the launcher meant that I had to unsub and resub to this mod. I'm currently playing a Tsu campaign and when I loaded in today I noticed that the uniforms had changed. They used to wear light gray with navy pants and magenta trim, but now they're in black with dark purple pants. I much prefer the older style to the new one and am trying to figure out what caused the change. The only other mods I'm using are darthmod and the darthmod unit pack. Anyone else have this problem?

A quick question, the samurai officer mesh seems to be a bit broken. it looks like the whole texture thingy got projected on the model wrong. I didnt use any other mods and i've been testing it from a fresh install.

Hi there, may I please ask if you could reconsider the color of the Chosokabe mon on their sashimono/battle flag? I love this mod, I really do. It's just that every time I see that tint of blue, I squirm and feel like the mon is still colored white, but my computer screen is malfunctioning & that's why it looks bluish to me.

May I suggest turning the color gold, to match the color of the Chosokabe mon on body armor?

For me this mod only partially works. It changes the models of the units but the colors stay the same. Don't get me wrong the units look nice but the colors are the main reason for using this over other mods.

I imagine this would fix the same problem for most mods. It's too bad it isn't mentioned around the internet more. I mean seriously, nothing but another mod requiring it even mentioned it... It works by blocking unit association with sound files or something like that, apparently.

Anyways, I would have resubbed for this mod anyways when I did a new Oda playthrough. The vanilla yellow-purple texture for them bothers me far more than cannon archers.

I love this mod. Unfortunately, it still causes the archer cannon sound glitch (I tested this pretty thoroughly), so I had to unsub.

FYI to anyone who might reply trying to help: sinfonia semplice is outdated to the point that it doesn't really work for any mods anymore (I've looked into this and tested it pretty thoroughly). I had fixed the problem (for real, by deleting and replacing the affected files and testing the units in-game), and tested this mod alone to confirm it had the problem. I was rather surprised considering it's a texture mod, but having worked with older total wars before... Yeah, something like this could swap the sounds if not kept up to date with the latest version of the game.

It's too bad modders aren't keeping their mods updated, but that's just the reality of modding especially for an older game. It wouldn't be such a problem if CA didn't constantly keep updating their games.

This is a great mod, have been using it with Darth Mod and had great fun!
One criticism I have however, is the Takeda Mon on their hats/armours. I find it to look somewhat weird, almost like just a sticker, compared to all other clans, which look just like they were really painted on by hand.
I believe just putting the black symbol on the armours without the filled-in circle around it would be much better, and more in line with the other clans' designs.
Your decision if you want to change that ultimately though, of course. It doesn't "ruin" the mod by any means.

Great mod! But can you clarify the mod order? Its sometimes hard to find the right order to always have it appear.

I'm also curious, why did you retain the orange color for Ikko Ikki in the campaign map, even as you changed the battle map color to white?
