I'm trying to revive older content for re-use with the old ALPHA versions.
(May seem useless in some case, and yet, old versions are not useless.)

Great scenario, but... almost total absence of pentaxid and prometheum in loot put severe restrictions on shields and weaponry usage. On starting planet from all salvages and POIs from planet and space around I collected about 100 pentaxid and 150 prometheum. At that zascosium (rare resource in vanila game at the starting worlds) - more than 1200. I think this part needs some rebalancing towards more pentaxid and prometheum.

You may find that steam requires you to upload as a new scenario of the same name. I've had that problem with workshop items when moving to a new computer. Only real downside is we would have to re-subscribe.

For those unaware, and curious about the lack of updates:

For the past month (or so), due to an unfortunate electrical (lightning) issue, I've been without a computer that can play Empyrion. My new computer should arrive on Friday. One of my first priorities (Empyrion wise) is to re-acquire the scenario and begin to make updates to it including bringing it up to date with the latest Alpha. I appreciate all the interest and the patience.

@kevin398_727, @RoninTengu is correct. Because of the way CVs, SVs, and HVs spawn as a POI, (they don't remove terrain objects like rocks and trees, and they glitch when spawned partially underground) I had to set their spawn height to a couple blocks above ground. This is why they fall when you get near them. When the ground is slanted or there's rocks or trees in the way, they jump and flip, having been spawned partially in a rock, tree, or ground.

@kevin398_727 I think that is because the physics engine doesn't apply until you get close. Just like when the object spawns and de-spawns to save memory, the physics engine does the same. If the object it is applying to is clipped into the ground, it gets ejected. I've had this issue with some SV/CVs when I spawn inside one and the other isn't 'docked'.

just thought of something I wanted to mention...why is it that when we approach a new wreck it jumps into the air and flips around? I have seen hvs on their roofs because of it and even svs too. I rode up to one in my hv and it was harigng in the air and when I got close it flipped around fell and landed on its top...lol it is comical to see but one sv I thought of working on was laying on its roof...after I walked up to it... so I gave up on that one.seeing them fall from the sky is one thing but flipping upside down on approach is funny.

well after good deal of thinking no it and walking through one end to end...I think the Trawler isnt worth the effort for me. its a huge troop transporter basically, and I play a solo game all the time. not going to have 20 guys on board for anything. but to someone playing multiplayer, it could pass as a land based transport to haul passengers for sure. or strip it out and use the frame to make a mobiler base maybe.

As for the heavier devices, you can use "T" to activate your building toolbar, which ignores mass and weight. To do so, you have to link to a cargo box on your base or CV, then you can press "t" to activate the toolbar.

@kevin398_727 You can use several explosives to take out the shields. I've captured one myself (no cheats) when testing. It just takes a LOT of work. Which is the point for such an advanced HV.

yeah i disabelt weight witch is really annoing i like that my small sv sparrow can't carry a billion steel plates but at the same time if i cannot place adv crafters and turrets because i can't carry them it kinda ruins the game for me

that so called conflict in storage is intentional. I see the same thing and asked about it, there are ways around it I was told but I'm not a coder for modding files, so I just dont play the weights and measures side, if you do there are dead ends the second you get into large ship repair and construction. also in this scenerio...the Zirex Trawler is immortal, never runs out of fuel and has shields, even inside so it can never be captured. thats a cheat right there. and on the starter junk world promethium is very rare even in cargo loot, we need that for ammo, since salvaging parts doesnt get you the material you need.

hmm so i might have been missing something but, i seem to be having a problem around my inventory volume.
with a medium armor i have an inv. voulume of 650, but something like the adv constructor or the rocket turret have a volume of 800 so it won't let me put one in my action bar to place it.

am i missing something or is there some kinda conflict between your mod and an official patch ??

@ooobernoob Most of the neodymium is in the engines and generator. If you are using medium or larger engines, that is where most of it will be. Depending on your size of CV, you may not be able to lower it any more than you have.

Hi mate, ive had so much fun playing your scenario, had to restart it quite a few times, i refurbished one of the CVs so many times you wouldnt believe, in te end i thought you must finish this.. Many hours later and less hair ive come up with a ship for the 26th century, I think its a great build, it would be a shame for it to missed or lost as ive noticed how many CVs there are out there. its been stripped back to lvl 10 but neodymium is proving elusive for me also I require slightly over 2k of the damned stuff, any idea what i need to remove from the build or strip back to reduce this cost, i made it in game and not in the workshop but believe a few more hours labor sorting it out would get it more hits as i believe its a great starter platform. Thanks

You can salvage fuel from crashed ships as well.

@godonbassguitar - with difficultly. The only real place you will find it is on the moon. You are limited to biofuel until then. Once you can build a deconstructor you can turn power packs into promethium (biofuel to fuel tank, remove as packs, deconstruct)

The PDA is currently not set up for this scenario. It's using the default one from the core game, which is looking for POIs that don't exist.

Love this scenario, am new to this game but already it has me hooked, spent a great deal of time figuring it out, a long way to go spent more time creating a base that i probably wont need lol... keep up the good work. Awesome idea. been scavenging for parts of even nice machines, built up quite a collection but no working vehicles, restarted a couple of times, think maybe this is the one working on increasing fuel supply and ammo before i settle into a crib. might need to build a bigger hanger lmfao. should publish my little base although i havent figured out the switching/[powering mechanics, keep up the good work. i cooked my base but still havent placed it. contemplating a location i will never be happy.... Amazing work keep it up.

I have a potentially dumbass newb question, The first PDA quest to go to a nearby signal (which was a crashed vessal) didn't complete. so now I have no idea what I'm looking for, I've been manually completing when finding what I thought were the right POIs but I'm after a "Bridge" and I've found a Cockpit POI but it seems to not be correct. What am I actually looking for?

On the starter planet, there are SOME CVs, but mostly they are BAs. If you want a surefire way to tell, the icon on the map will look like a teardrop for a BA, but a CV Icon for a CV. There are PLENTY of CVs in space to repair, however.

me & a friend have been enjoying your Scenario you made. But we have run in to a bit of a problem every capital ship we have come across we put down cores to claim them just to find out its not a CV anymore but is set as a base. Is this suppose to be like that or no? are they bases & only a select few CV or what?

I am loving this scenario so far! It is more entertaining and actually is making me work for everything I have to get or make.

I have put some rules on myself. 1. No blueprints at all, Everything much be salvaged or build in game. 2. No using Traders at all. 3. No auto miners.

These simple rule shave made me actually have to work and scrounge for everything I have. Well worth the download. Thanks for making this!

@kevin398_727 for the record, there are between 1 and 5 of each planet type, some of which may or may not have moons. It's entirely random. There are between 25 and 50 asteroid fields. while asteroid fields and space stations may not have mineable resources, they are worth exploring, because they usually have at least 1 station or space junk field worth looting through.

@MellowRebel it's randomly on some planets. your system may not have any, and you have to salvage the parts for it.

wow, always used a SV about the size of a fighter or just a tad bigger, wandering looking for parts for the blue fighter and found what I thought was a small CV..NOT..its an sv with a lots of open holes and engines missing. turned around and went back and stripped everything I could carry from the little fighter, and though it will take a while to make it air tight again, I think it'll be worth it. this is a mobile base..lol

OK my bad just saw the space map up there, lots of asteroid fields..for scrap I immagine. tried counting saw maybe 15 planets, so close enough..lol know by the name those asteroid fields are already depleted, so more scrap yards huh? Ok will see.

interesting start, how many planets are there all together? Not like I'm getting off this first one soon, but might be nice to know. found a shot up blue fighter, decided it would be practice. so made a fuel tank for it and got the bigger constructor going, so might actually get it repaired someday..lol

@StyxAnnihilator, Yeah, i know. But if I lower the number of each type, it STILL cuts it in half, so it's like 250 of 500 will not place. I still haven't figured out exactly how to fix that.

With starter planet size of medium then roughly half of the POIs can not be placed (500 of 1000).
