I don't seem to have any mist. Is this not working?
Baligdur Aug 24, 2020 @ 12:51am
This mod convert all sea storm dark clouds into mist. Which will REALLY slow down your PC. And its a movie pack witch mean you have to remove it manually from data to deactivat it. I just want to let people know becouse it causes me massive fps drop and absence of clouds and for very long time I did now known what was causing it.
Revelation Jun 29, 2020 @ 7:44pm
would you consider making it more... and making sure it works alongside?
Raze263 Jun 14, 2020 @ 3:03am

Xoudad  [author] Jun 14, 2020 @ 3:02am

Raze263 Jun 13, 2020 @ 10:37pm

Xoudad  [author] May 30, 2020 @ 10:23am

manifold samurai May 30, 2020 @ 3:24am
Did ca add this?
Xoudad  [author] May 7, 2020 @ 12:23pm
Yeah a lot easier for them to add campaign map stuff than us tweaking effects here and there :)
Bard May 7, 2020 @ 10:28am
Interested to see how CA will implement the Mist.
kelstr Apr 24, 2020 @ 8:26pm
@tastiger841 I agree...that mod was awesome... but mod author stopped modding it and is a loser
tastiger841 Apr 24, 2020 @ 6:02am
Any chance for athel loren to have the mist like in the mod of Wood Elves Corruption - "Forest Mist" for the 1st game ?
Ciaphas Cain Apr 10, 2020 @ 1:34pm
Thanks for the reply. I'll give it a go next Helf campaign!
Xoudad  [author] Apr 10, 2020 @ 1:32pm
Doens't need update but might be challenging for your computer
Ciaphas Cain Apr 10, 2020 @ 1:08pm
Surely this doesnt need updating as its only adding a visual....right?
gongoozler Feb 16, 2020 @ 4:50pm
when will you update this?
joshwiz23 Jan 17, 2020 @ 5:55pm
Is this savegame compatible?
Your Mother Nov 13, 2019 @ 4:38pm
What's the status of this project?
Light-hero Sep 18, 2019 @ 7:53pm
Hope you had a good hike! :-)
tastiger841 Aug 18, 2019 @ 7:06am
Or a cheaper way to do is to download a very small graphic mod, make a copy of it and rename it to this mod file's name to replace it.

Since graphic mods can be stacked, even they are the same ones, it won't have any impact.
tastiger841 Aug 18, 2019 @ 6:51am
Hi DobisPR,

PFM is Pack File Manager, which allows you to edit the files.

Cheers
Xoudad  [author] Aug 15, 2019 @ 6:53pm
Like I said we were working on improving perf before I left. Will work on it when I’m back with new stuff. PFM/RPFM is the soft you use to make mods.
DobisPR Aug 15, 2019 @ 11:05am
Cool idea, but just an FYI to any thinking to subscribing I'm running i7 4.0 with 16g RAM and GTX 1060, and it caused really bad FPS drops made playing HE really annoying. So you might need specs better than that FPS was around 15 when hovering over east Ulthuan. Also yes it does break mid-game saves.

tastiger841 what is PFM? Do you have any tips? I am in the middle of Legendary HE campaign and really don't feel like starting a new one.
Obese Geese Aug 5, 2019 @ 6:22am
My rig is fine. It has nothing to do with that. Such a small mod has no right to have such a performance effect. You know all too well that needs work, even the developer has said so. It is the mod's problem, not mine.

Tell me though, what exactly is useless about my comment? The fact you are butthurt about it does not make my criticism invalid. It was VERY much constructive and you know this. Positive =/= constructive.

I just potentially informed other users that this mod is not savegame compatible or rather disabling it breaks saves, and you need to do something about that. And other users should stay away and deserve a fair warning, which this mod does not provide.
tastiger841 Jul 31, 2019 @ 4:43am
Regarding to mid-campaign save issue, perhaps one could use PFM to delete the entries, like I do for some mods so it still shows, but it is just a blank file.
scribeuntitled Jul 31, 2019 @ 1:20am
@Obese Geese Thanks for that wonderfully pointless comment. If perhaps you included some constructive criticism instead of uselessly spewing vitriol like the loser that you are, perhaps things would actually get fixed. And it will obviously have effects on fps. Your computer has to render all that extra fog that wasn't optimized by CA. Don't blame us if your rig is shit.
Obese Geese Jul 28, 2019 @ 7:05am
This mod is absolute garbage.

Not only does it not work as intended (fog showing in the wrong places) the performance hit it makes is just not worth it.

Okay fine. At this point of reading you should probably know not to download the mod. But it gets worse.

The mod being an absolute failure at what it does can only be surpassed by the fact that this, being a graphical mod, somehow dares to crash your game upon loading next turn upon it being disabled.

That's right. You can't disable this stupid little mod mid-campaign despite the fact graphics are the only thing it alters. It will crash upon AI turns, and yes, I've made sure, this mod is the culprit. The modder has not stated anything about this or save-game compatibility explicitly, or at all. I should not have to go to discord for this.

All in all, a nice idea, but a catastrophically bad execution.

This is a word of warning to whomever wishes to download this. Don't mess up your campaign with this garbage.
Xoudad  [author] Jul 20, 2019 @ 2:06am
Yes I want to do that too, I’ll add it when I’m back (see comment in the description)
Your Mother Jul 19, 2019 @ 10:37pm
Do you have plans to add this for the forest of Loren? There was a mod in Warhammer I that had mist effects for the Wood Elves and it would actually expand with their conquests (reflecting a growth of their enchanted forest). If you had the skill set to do such, that would be fantastic.
kelstr May 14, 2019 @ 2:30pm
nice :)
Xoudad  [author] May 14, 2019 @ 10:40am
I’m planning to add other stuff yep
Hazard Maks May 14, 2019 @ 9:56am
This is awesome! Will there be more effects added later on as well? It would be really cool to see various special effects added to the Mortal Empires map.
Greymalkin May 12, 2019 @ 11:51pm
@Xoudad Thanks for looking into it. Had to disable the mod for the time being. On a very powerful rig my frames were dropping like a rock.
< blank > May 12, 2019 @ 4:07pm
Apparently this mod doesn't work, do we require additional files?
Xoudad  [author] May 12, 2019 @ 10:33am
lol we are looking how to make it run better on your computer. Swaring in Yvresse.
Blitzgob May 12, 2019 @ 9:40am
People of Yvresse are drinking too much.
you gotta be french to understand this poor pun.
Xoudad  [author] May 12, 2019 @ 7:55am
We are going to look how to make it lighter.
EzaihSiX May 12, 2019 @ 7:40am
Why did the makers of TW not think of this? this is super cool. o.O
Hammerdin May 12, 2019 @ 5:32am
I love this mod but I can't use it anymore. I go from 96 fps to 13fps when looking at this part of the map! I think it's going to melt my poor pc if I keep it on any longer.
< blank > May 11, 2019 @ 2:40pm
More of this in Wood Elves lands, please. And jungles of Lizardmen! And mountains of Dawi! And Transylvania please!
shawmuscle  [author] May 11, 2019 @ 8:38am
@[BHOT] Yezzia can you send me a pic of what it looks like on your screen?
Ceres Clouds May 11, 2019 @ 4:40am
Feel like it's too densely clumped with a large hit to performance (even more so than full 40v40 battles with high setttings, ultra+ unit sizes etc). Could you consider thinning it out and making it more 'streaky and windy' around the coast and islands rather than like dense masses over certain spots? Maybe it's having issues with something else, but in my game it's literally two ultradense circles of fog hovering the coastline with everywhere else around it completely clear.
NXL May 10, 2019 @ 1:52pm
This is amazing. too bad my pc lags like hell so i cant use it, not sure if it's something with the mod or my computer
Gleen Cross May 10, 2019 @ 3:28am
Dude, you have to take over the "darker campaign" mod, Kelstr is pretty much dead at this point. Also put some mist in those damn wood elves forests!
viranto May 10, 2019 @ 12:41am
Please more of this stuff! I really like atmospheric mods.
Rusty Shackleford May 9, 2019 @ 3:12pm
This sounds really cool! Hopefully you can think of things to do with other regions, it makes everything feel much more unique!
Railgun May 9, 2019 @ 11:16am
Very nice idea, looks great. ;)
OoGaBoOGaMan May 9, 2019 @ 10:43am
Just saw this. Awesome. Another little addition to the Map.:steamhappy:
Moloch May 9, 2019 @ 10:08am
