I lost the files a few years back when upgrading PC, so I can't make any changes anymore. Hopefully updates to the base game don't break things, but they may. I did see that when they were regularly updating the game a few years ago.

Thoroughly enjoyable mod, both gameplay- and story-wise. Played through it last year with no technical issues whatsoever on a 5-year old Linux laptop. Definitely recommended.

*click enemy: miss 4 out of 5 turns, yet all enemies never miss on me almost 100% accurate. I don't know about the story or writing I literally couldn't make it out of the first side mission it's absurdly difficult so much that I can't play at all unless I use cheats, but then what's the f_cking point? It's not my character, all my runners have the same problem.

The only complaint is that the screen keeps minimizing about every 20 seconds. Each time I have to click on the icon in the task bar to maximize it. Kind of annoying; any idea how I can fix this?

I love the open world aspect of this, Thanks for the great work Stymie Jackson!

why does it have "big incel energy"? i´m an hour in and is superb so far :lunar2019piginablanket:
Corvus Jul 21, 2022 @ 7:02pm
Couldn't get through this in 2022. Writing has big incel energy.
Stymie Jackson  [author] Apr 16, 2022 @ 11:34am
I'm surprised it still works at all after all this time...it was built in the first shadowrun engine. Unfortunately I no longer have the files so I can't get back into the editor.
Ashtero Apr 16, 2022 @ 2:21am
One of my favourite mods, replaying it about once a year. Haven't encountered any game-breaking bugs (though the final boss sometimes requires reloading the autosave).
Vitalix Mar 25, 2022 @ 9:23pm
Exactly one year from the last comment. This still worth a try?

You will not get anywhere in this without heavy use of the console in 2021. Such great mechanics ideas that they graduated to engine features in the sequels, with entertaining and solid writing, but there's no way in hell this was balance checked or bug hunted. Play it anyway. With Alt+F1 open.
Sir_Elrond Oct 1, 2020 @ 11:02pm
Wow !
Really great mod so far, with a lot of improvements beside the scenario.
My humble comments :
1/ Maybe you could list the mecanics change somewhere, so players wouldn't be too troubled.
2/ I died (again...) in Red's house, and so far I didn't have any Matrix runs. I'm starting to wonder if all that money spent in deck, softwares and ESP wouldn't have been more useful in Medkits.
3/ I found it very difficult, but maybe it is because point 2 above.
I will try a restart with a different character, because I don't want to give up on this great story.
Thanks for making this.
Ahri Jul 10, 2020 @ 2:20pm
Played this for about 20 hours to the end. There are some game-breaking bugs, but restarting the mission fixes most of them.
I REALLY loved this! I hope there are more fanmade campaigns like this, but i doubt.
Really great work!
Would love to see more work of you :)
artemitavik Jun 30, 2020 @ 10:11pm
Ok, still playing through this, still a great mod. I would DIE to see this shipped over to Dragonfall or HK with the smoother interfaces there.

And for some reason, armor seems to do nothing in the way of damage reduction for me. So if you play this mod (totally recommend it) you may need to max out your dodge. The combats get stupid level hard without armor soaking damage.
artemitavik Jun 29, 2020 @ 5:28pm
ok, just started playing this a couple days ago, probably only 1/3 of the way through. Literally, the ONLY complaint I have is how difficult some of the combat is and a bit slow going on karma gain. The storyline is fantastic, it has great sandbox/exploration/sidequest elements, custom gear, cyber, stealth mechanics, all sorts of good stuff.

PLAY THIS MOD!

@stymie jackson: Make more stuff! In any of the three (I personally would love to see more HK stuff) this is a masterpiece. Maaaaake more stuff.

Stuck at home due to Covid19, I decided to replay Shadowrun Returns. Then I grabbed this add-on, and man is it good. I may even like it more than the main campaign. The story may be less intricate, but everything else is better. Love the added sneak mechanics, optional achievements, conversation trees, and tech/magic/gear. Really great stuff.

(One note: mid-battle access to your stash makes riggers severely OP. All you have to do is remove your bot from your gear, then go right back in an add it, and you can reactivate it for new full set of AP, as well as re-stocking its items and healing it to full. Not that I mind, it just made even the final fights kind of a cakewalk once I realized I could do that.)
Stymie Jackson  [author] Sep 10, 2019 @ 10:21am
Glad to see people are still playing Shadowrun!
Temperance Sep 6, 2019 @ 8:05pm
Just played this and it is really good. Love the additional weapons, cyberware and tattoos. Cheers!
Charlie The Unseen Aug 18, 2019 @ 10:33am
I just played this, its far out rad, man. Crazy boss battles, and I love the magical tattoos implementation, what a long strange trip, man.
davidbalparda Jul 21, 2019 @ 6:18am
GREAT campaign! It's combat-focused and very challenging, so be sure to build a tough player character. It's long too, so expect many hours of play.
J. Smallberries May 22, 2019 @ 2:23pm
I think the dialogue may be rich in Shadowrun lingo, but it's emberassingly childish. Your first mission is to work for the "whore", "Slutty Sally". If you're not a boy-child or a man-child , this one is going to be a no-go.
Moonshank Oct 10, 2018 @ 11:56am
Loved this run, especially the rich use of Shadowrun lingo! Worth a playthrough.
Vorpal Spoon Oct 7, 2018 @ 2:51am
This is a great mod, and much longer than I expected it to be. Story driven with options on how to approach missions for playstyle, without focusing on the world revolving around the charname. Unique weapons, tattoos, and cybernetics are a really fun and creative addition. 9/10
ADEC Inc Aug 7, 2018 @ 5:20pm
Starts off great and has some cool features throughout, but becomes a bit of a slog. Latter chapters feel very drawn out. The new weapons, cyberware, spells, and tattoos are very welcome additions. Major points for having some useful hired npcs for a change.
Mandrake Mar 2, 2018 @ 2:44pm
When I first started this combat-heavy campaign, I was impressed despite the high difficulty. Once I reached Chapter 2, I was blown away by just how much content there was. Loads of missions to complete and plenty of well-designed challenges which pushed me to the limit. Overall, this is on par with the official campaign and could easily be mistaken as such. Great job, chummer.
Stymie Jackson  [author] Jan 20, 2018 @ 11:29am
Hi Bonzwagga...yeah, combat is a lot denser in this UGC. Always try to have a full party for the missions, and the Shotgun and Assault Rifle hires are going to be the strongest. Mages are weak early (other than healing) but a pretty potent late game.
Bonzwagga Jan 13, 2018 @ 8:22pm
Great mod...absurdly difficult starting with Doucine's Cathouse, then the warehouse. Restarted with a new character, straight combat, still absurdly difficult. I don't want to, but I'm gonna have to reduce my difficulty setting to easy. :( And probably have to stop using a mage in my group...because they apparently suck at pretty much everything, at least early on. :steamhappy:
deadandhallowed Dec 28, 2017 @ 12:25am
Just wanna say that this is more challenging and rewarding than the original game. I'm not all the way through it, probably not even half judging by other comments, but so far, I love the additions, story, and side missions. When my run is finished, you'll hear more from me, but so far, pretty darn good and making me twice as glad for buying the main game. Thank you for making this.
Knightbob Dec 26, 2017 @ 5:46am
WAOW! What a great UGC! Huge content, worthy of the main campaign!
4 long chapters, interresting characters, a rich storyline (even little end chapters recaps ^^).
What a work, dude! IMPRESSIVE!
The best UGC played so far, without doubt!
Congrats ;)
- I would have put 10 stars if I could -
Hans Sturmschwanz Nov 17, 2017 @ 6:43am
Amazing mod. Love it.
Gabriel Apr 23, 2017 @ 8:24pm
how long is it?
Stymie Jackson  [author] Mar 30, 2017 @ 6:36am
Glad to see people are still getting some enjoyment out of this one!

Thank You Very Much, Stymie! It was well worth the wait.

Gotta say this had been one of the MUCH better custom stories I've played for Shadowrun, I had a lot of fun with this, enjoyed the characters, locations and missions. At parts I will admit it was a little tough and a bit frustrating but all in all? A ton of fun and I would 100% recommend this to any Runner looking for a solid, long and in depth story to make a name for themself!

Nice work friend.
Audoleon Aug 30, 2016 @ 9:00am
Enjoyed playing through this. Slight play balance issue in that the missions in chapter one are a little tough (especially for a not 100% combat oriented character), but the later chapter are more balanced.
aguswings Apr 9, 2016 @ 12:22pm
can this be run under Dragonfall DC?
Drivic Oct 16, 2015 @ 5:58am
Somewhat unbalanced, a little too dependent on fighting and most of all, way too long for the average plot it has (seriously, knowing how to not overstay your welcome is something a lot of creators need to learn).
On the other hand, it has a very solid feeling overall, great hubs (albeit running around gets tiresome and contributes a lot to the feeling of it being too long), very well designed levels and it manages to be far deeper and more complex than anything the vanilla campaign ever dreams to be.
Considering it's a single man's work (if I'm not wrong) and that it does much more good than wrong, I'd say it's easily one of the best UCCs out there for SR Returns. It just needs some polishing and trimming on needless parts.
Mystic Exarch Oct 14, 2015 @ 6:58pm
It's a more than a little on the hard side. I have a character fully specced for combat and I cant get past the second fight in red's base. I feel like the amount and skill levels of enemies is a bit unfair. Especially that pesilence that the serial killer guy summons, and the spirit in the graveyard.
apostrophejj Oct 4, 2015 @ 8:07am
Decided to quit playing after doing the shaman quest and most of the available in downtown. It turned into a chore and I came to hate it. Pros: The levels are very well done, there's a crowd of characters and lots of jobs to do; interesting vendors in downtown. Besides the points I disliked, this was intensely well crafted. Cons: weak plot, no motivation besides shadowrunning; The stealth mechanic, good on paper; the convincing dialogues were pointless; everything's a shootout, which to me should be a feature, not a core; I suppose the whole thing would be better in another game; the chore of hiring a team, equipping them items from stash, and later retrieving everything sicked me. Tips: don't go melee; pick shadowrunner etiquette; always have 2250 'yen to hire riflemen, or else you're dreked.
BrennenderWolf25 Sep 28, 2015 @ 1:22pm
Looks good so far, but I can't figure out how to switch to turn mode.
tecnocaos Aug 26, 2015 @ 2:36pm
Great job, dude! I played other mods but they were awful. I played A Stitch in Time for hours and I never got bored. You should be hired by Harebrained Schemes.
henrique117 Aug 13, 2015 @ 3:43am
Hi! Sorry for posting this here too, but as the known bugs thread seems dead, maybe here someone will answer... At chapter 3, after choosing to end chapter in the talk with Harry, he tells me to return to the safehouse, but when i return to uptown the icon to enter it disappeared... Anyone knows how to fix it? I´d love to get in chapter 4 and finish such a great UGC.
Qc-litchee Jun 16, 2015 @ 9:44am
hey i just started the mod, and sry if its been stated and answered, 55 page of comment! lol. I dont find the turn mod button in character page, seem great to ambush and stealth...
imnotanumber2 Jun 15, 2015 @ 3:35am
awesome work guy.... I was convinced that a team of people made this... was surprised to see it was just one dude. kudos to you
Pathborn Apr 14, 2015 @ 3:05pm
i discovered a bug -- the mission for brain morph and the4x says that one of them must survive if you are going to get your reward. i had brain morph survive, but not the4x, and i still didn't get the mission reward (they both appear in the bar, but neither one can be talked to after the mission).
rbowling1414 Apr 13, 2015 @ 5:05pm
What an impressive mod-- huge scope and some really inventive and fun mission designs. The mod has some minor drawbacks that are related to the engine itself (particularly with ally inventory from scene to scene), but it also has some innovative uses of the engine. Plot is pretty straightforward, but the mod also manages a semi-open world feel that is great (and impressive for something that was made by one person). Probably shines most as a combat mod, but there's lots of cool stuff sprinkled in. All Shadowrun fans should check it out.
Tiny Buckethead Mar 19, 2015 @ 4:34pm
Wow ... this game has hours and hours of fun!
Every time there was a cutscene between cities, I thought it would abruptly end,
but I was pleasantly surprised at how much fun content is here.
Sikaran Mar 11, 2015 @ 4:59am
I'm about 3 hours in - I really like what I'm seeing so far. No game-crashing bugs, lots of action, interesting NPCs that require Charisma to unlock their quest dialogues.

The unlimited stash access is very convenient, but a little too powerful. I wish it weren't accessible during battle or required AP to use.

Thumbs up!
danweiss28 Mar 2, 2015 @ 1:51am
UPDATE! : I found the type input in the options menu, and switched to single-click, but still havent found a way to ener and exit turn mode....
danweiss28 Feb 28, 2015 @ 2:37pm
Hey Stymie, I just downloaded you UGC, I heard great things about it. But, im confused I can't find a menu option for the turn mode, or an option for double click or single click. I should mention I have Shadowrun Returns and Dragonfall Director's Cut installed.
Sincerely yours, Nooooblet
