I haven't had anyone tell me that before, has the CKII mod been updated recently? This mod should be compatible with all versions unless they've changed the portrait system but I doubt that

I can't seem to get this mod to work, I've re-downloaded the gamed and the mod and it still does not replace the portraits.

Thanks for the mod brother! ck3 is fun, but the mods are unbeatable on ck2 and i just wanna show my appreciation to the mod makers!

is there any way to get the traits to customize dragons? i saw rainbow colored dragons in files and was wondering how to get them

That is the only other one I am aware of to be honest, I feel like there isn't many more mods being created these days for the mod due to the impending CK3 mod.

Thank you, I understand the purpose now. Not in any way trying to be offensive to your mod. Just curious to see if I was missing something. Do you know of any other Dragon portraits mod besides the one called " dragons expanded" ?

That was the purpose, it was the easiest way to have a streamlined way of having the dragons look accurate to canon and remove the images that had a traditional four-legged dragon with wings which contradicts how they're described in the books. The colour of each dragon is accurate to canon in the mod. The image is based on a fan-art of Viserion.

Am I crazy if I ask the only thing this mod in term of portrait does is add a generic picture of a dragon face and just changes the color? Not trying to be offensive, just genuinely curious as that is what I see. I see the same face for all the dragons but with different color. Please respond.

Imlooking for the dna codes for all images, especially the blue one, I want to create Nagga

@gladosh8 I'm afraid it is very unlikely that I will be doing another update for the mod. I haven't opened CKII in over a year and I have moved onto CKIII.
Apr 25, 2021 @ 7:43pm
maybe in the next update we have eye color traits?

@gladosh8 There seems to be no problem with my mod, are you sure you are using an up to date version of A Game of Thrones with no other submods?
Jan 27, 2021 @ 7:08pm
Every time open ot up it doesnt do anything

@gladosh8 I don't see a reason as to why it would stop working but I will have it checked out, I will get back to you asap.

@jysgaming06 This Steam version works for all versions but I updated the Forum version for 2.2.
Sep 29, 2020 @ 9:11am
Have you updated this for 2.2?

@Chaoticlord44 It isn't my mod then. The Steam version literally only changes two graphics files, that wouldn't affect the coding.
May 18, 2020 @ 11:56am
@tuned

yes, of course I am.

For hatchlings, it somehow works fine, but anything older than hatchlings, they just disappear.

@Chaoticlord44 Are you using the steam version of this mod?
May 17, 2020 @ 2:52pm
Don't know if it's this mod or the main Game of Throne mod itself, but for some reason the dragon that is the possession of my Valyrian suddenly disappears without any say or anthing.

Awesome!

Love the mod and can't play without it!
I also asked this on the agot mod forum, but I thought I might as well ask here too. Is it possible to add extra portraits to the game? Not necessarily asking for you to add them, just if it would be possible for me to edit the custom profile images into the game so that my dragons can have 81 color options instead of 27.

@AquaticCape accept my friend request

Hello Tuned, love the mod by the way. Would it be possible to make a drop box version of the V3 download? Mediafire is acting up for me. I completely understand if you can't or don't want to. I'd also like to know if you're going to update the steam version to V3 at some point.

I used the direct link but I'm still getting the vanilla portraits. Can someone tell me how to properly get this to work, cause I'm frankly not a huge fan of the vanilla portraits.

@jellybeenmaster use the direct link http://agotcitadel.boards.net/thread/2727/dragon-portraits-submod and download it from mediafire. (The direct link is also at the bottom of the mod description)

Is there something specific i must do in order for this mod to work because whatever I try the portraits remain vanilla :(

@Star¤Dagger I personally like them the way they are but I respect where you are coming from :steamhappy: You are welcome! Enjoy :lunar2019piginablanket:

He is correct about the evolutionary aspect of it, the neurology is All F**ked up to make it work.
It would be easier from an evolutionary biology standpoint to evolve the ones he has shown on the programme.

BUT!! It is a fracking fantasy world! Dragons have four legs, and two wings.

It is one of the reasons they are so dangerous. You have a bite attack by mouth, two wing smack attacks, jumping attacks in combo with all other attacks, tail attacks, and the good old school 'Dracarys' breath weapon attacks.
Add in that real Dragons can cast VERY high level spells, and you should just "be somewhere else".

BTW, thanks for modding for us, it is greatly appreciated.

@Star¤Dagger "Dragons are scaled, reptilian creatures. They have four limbs: two wings, which are used as forelegs like bats and pterosaurs, and two rear legs. George R. R. Martin's dragons thereby differ from the traditional depiction of dragons as six limbed creatures. Martin came to his decision as he was bothered by the fact that no animal in nature has ever evolved in such a way (i.e. four legs and two wings)"

@tuned

No worries, glad you liked the suggestions. The second one is entirely possible I promise you, the only real work would be the art. The gfx portrait files are built up in layers and the layers can be switched around to accommodate the dragon portraits. I'd happily work on it, but time is an issue at the moment, if it wasn't i'd be continuing CK2: Wizarding World. Maybe one day soon. Gd luck!

@Vahlgoul

Thank you very much.

1. I could definitely do that and will think about it in the future after my incoming exams :) Very good suggestion.

2. Sadly, Dragon Portraits are not normal portraits, they are technically the backgrounds of characters, like the Iron Throne one you see behind the king. I would have to see later on in the future if I would do something like that :) I could definitely do the artifacts later but the overlay I am unsure of.

Thanks for the wonderful suggestions :D Enjoy!

@LikkerdySplit That is not the case. I did a lot more than that and it was most certainly not half-assed. I won't explain myself to you but thank you for such constructive criticism :lunar2019piginablanket:

@tuned

Nice little mod, beautiful artwork.
I have a couple suggestions to build upon the mod.

1. When a dragon hatches or matures it receives a random descriptive modifier, detailing some of it's key characteristics, i.e large horns, huge incisors, great wingspan, glittering scales etc...

2. Dragon armour artifact. When a dragon is given the armour they receive additional combat_rating and the actual character portrait gains an overlay displaying the armour.

Just some ideas, great work!

Seems kind of half-assed.
Every picture's the same, just a different color.

Will the portraits match the descriptions of the canon dragons?

For example, is Vermithor still the colour of bronze?
