sinking Tram Road

These roads are just great, but when I place a station on them, people don’t use it and don’t even ride the trams.
All7" May 15, 2024 @ 2:49am
how much mb with LSM?
nfg25 Nov 14, 2023 @ 9:34am
Tried adding a tram system to my city, and the No Node roads broke the nodes on the map completely! Had to replace these roads with vanilla, redo all my lines, replace/reconnect every adjoining tram road, and now my city is collapsing because my services won't send out vehicles to those tram roads I made using these assets >:(

np ;)
BlitzEN May 10, 2023 @ 7:15am
I feel myself a bit blind and stupid. Just found all 7 roads. Thanks for the reply.
clus  [author] May 9, 2023 @ 11:32pm
Hi. Yep, that's correct... you won't find them there, because those nets don't contain "tram lanes". Best way to find them would be via "find it". Atm Idk where exactly I put them in ... but I think that there has to be a "pipes" tab within the "roads" menu, where you should find all nets together.
BlitzEN May 8, 2023 @ 2:31am
Hi. It's strange, but only vanilla & LRT with or without node appears in the tram track menu. Can't find segments with grass & hole segment.
clus  [author] Apr 16, 2023 @ 3:19am
Hi. The network comes without any decorations.
jakan1604 Apr 11, 2023 @ 1:03pm
are the station decorations like the fences and shelters part of the asset or done in post?
scott Jan 8, 2023 @ 1:14pm
Destroy , have you any idea how much time and effort these guys and gals put into making and maintaining these items/mods for us to use , for free i might add, suggest you drop the condescending tone ask the author/ maker politely,(like your mother taught you to), if theres anything that can be done, after maybe raising awareness on an issue and stop being a complete TWAT...
clus  [author] Oct 14, 2022 @ 10:11pm
Those entrances are the ones from the LRT tracks.
CupOfTea696 Oct 14, 2022 @ 7:13pm
Unrelated, but how do you make your tunnel entrances look like that?
StayHungryStayFoolish Sep 20, 2022 @ 5:39pm
@DesTroy I know you like this game. Like we all do.
DesTroy Sep 20, 2022 @ 5:17pm
This is all most unfortunate how this updating was handled.

You really must add a disclaimer about darkening the road with network skins or repaint, on all affected roads (which by the sounds of it, is all your roads?) As this is a *major* issue that people will not be aware of when they subscribe. This is paramount.

You also really must update the screenshots. Right now you are showing an item that ultimately, does not exist. I want the item shown. It is not available. It is basically a doctored screenshot. This is not a minor thing. It honestly is irresponsible and unprofessional. Surely you must see this.

You have a lot of good roads that I know now, I cannot use, unless I find find really hacky workarounds/covers.
DesTroy Sep 20, 2022 @ 4:50pm
I assume you are referring to LRT Avenue / Going Underground. Unfortunately, they are only using the LRT tracks. I do not use those.

Yours includes Vanilla tram versions...
clus  [author] Sep 20, 2022 @ 3:59am
Regarding substitutes ... somebody did an "avenue - version" of this road, which still contains the old models (both road and tracks).
The link should be in the collection above ... can't paste it in here, because I am currently writing all this here on a mobile ... which is always not that pleseant :P
clus  [author] Sep 20, 2022 @ 3:55am
(1/2)
I can't change how the textures are compressed during the Import in to the game. And even if I could do something differently with these textures, then I'd have (again) to update all my networks in order to keep the effects provided by the LSM. Its totally fine, that you suggest all these things ... I always want to hear that ;), but in this case there isn't anything I can (technically) do about it
clus  [author] Sep 20, 2022 @ 3:54am
(2/2)...regarding previous versions...
I know that steam keeps these, but you can only access them, when you update your asset ... so I would have to update an asset (revert back to the previous version), then save the "new version, update again to the current version and finally reupload the old version as a new asset. Plus I would have to manually rework the old models, to fix imperfections, which I already fixed in the current versions. Nah ... won't do that either... because of the reasons above and because I don't want to have 2 versions of the same asset.
Regardless of any mentioned reasons... all this would be way to much wasted time, which I could better spend on things that I like to work on or just simply playing the game. ;)
DesTroy Sep 19, 2022 @ 9:33am
I do understand how it works, I was merely suggesting you try to improve the compression of the texture.
As for a second version: you do realize that steam keeps rollback versions of workshop items that you can easily grab the earlier version of, then separately reupload it, or vice-versa. This takes an effortless amount of time.

But in any case, do you know of any alternatives to this? I haven't found one to change a central avenue tram to sinking (or parallel parking roads like PLR II)
clus  [author] Sep 19, 2022 @ 3:00am
Hi and sry for the late reply. What you're showing isn t an issue, its a design choice. You can only work with the tools the game provides ... in the case of CS you're (almost) limited to the usage of 2 types of textures, which are "mixed" to create the look of your roads. To achieve the look of these roads, I had to prepare the "r texture" the way I did it ...and well, this texture is also used for the road color/darkness. In certain cases this could lead to the results you did show below. Sry, but as I said it before ... I won't change that, because I like the look of these roads... and releasing second versions with a "vanilla look" is way too much work and time. There are many outstanding good vanillaish looking roads from other creators available in the ws. I am certain that you can find something there. ;) cheers
DesTroy Sep 8, 2022 @ 4:45am
Just for reference, here are 2 screenshots of the appearance of your darkened roads:

I just started using several roads of yours, and it seems that the 'latest update' to their textures does not look good at all when one darkens the roads with Network Skins or any other road darkening method. The apparent bad quality of the 'updated' road wear overlay textures is horrendously visible when the road isn't the light vanilla shade.

It has many artefacts and an odd pinkish colour hue, that slowly disappears as one returns the road colour closer to the vanilla shade. It seems the texture colour balance is off and/or the compression did not go very well.

I implore you to try and address this issue or release a separate version of your roads with the *original* / "no custom road" texture on them. As what is shown in all the screenshots.

It's super unfortunate because your roads and work is all generally good, but what is shown in the pictures is definitely not what is given or expected. I really want to use these, but cannot in their current (frankly avoidable) condition.
clus  [author] Jun 30, 2022 @ 11:28am
Hi. Tbh ... in order to answer this, I would have to take a look at the roads... but my guess is, that I've created these roads without any stop props ... therefore manual placement might be needed ....
montrealshark Jun 29, 2022 @ 8:50am
Are the tram stop shelter props supposed to appear automatically on the "01 segments with nodes" or do i need to place them manually? When i place a stop, no props of any kind appear. I have network skins, but I haven't changed any of the settings

I have the same problem as StayHungryStayFoolish -- LSM reports that Center Tram #01 - Node, Center Tram #01 - Node (Vanilla) and Center Tram #05 - Node use Bus Shelter #01 - Frame and Bus Shelter 01 - Glass.
Therenus Mar 23, 2022 @ 4:16am
OK I find IT, its in other content in work shop, maybe it will be good to put dependency here :-)
Therenus Mar 23, 2022 @ 3:44am
Hello I couldnt find your tram track, I try it by hand and by Find it a nothing, with normal tram track a got massage that space is already occupied
StayHungryStayFoolish Jan 23, 2022 @ 11:55pm
I learned that missing LOD Shader is not harmful. Thank you for your response.
clus  [author] Jan 23, 2022 @ 11:13pm
@StayHungryStayFoolish Hi, I don't know what's going on at your end, but everything is totally ok with the assets. I've checked it twice ... in a heavily modded game and in my almost vanilla environment. No issues ...

Btw ,.. those props aren t used on this network.
StayHungryStayFoolish Jan 22, 2022 @ 9:05am
Sorry to mention, but LSM reported this about its prop:
LOD missing: 1919887701.Tram Shelter #01 - Glass _Data [Core]
LOD missing: 1919887701.Bus Shelter 01 - Glass_Data [Core]

@gamerprofile513 Thanks. The tunnel entrance is part of the "Lrt tram tracks". You'll find them in the collection. ;)
GamerProfile513 Dec 30, 2021 @ 9:04am
When sinking the tram lines below ground, how do you get your tunnel entrance to look like that? Are you using a special road or something? the roads are awesome but i cant figure out that part. Thanks!
citiesbydiana Dec 17, 2021 @ 4:54pm
Ohhh exciting, I can't wait. I love all of your network assets
clus  [author] Dec 15, 2021 @ 11:19pm
Yup ... I've put the roads in to the "water pipes tab".. which should be displayed in the roads menu (as "pipes tab" next to the other road tabs)... I am glad that you've found it !
Regarding a 3 lane version ... well, there's something on the horizon. ;) But it'll be some kind of a "special" thing... starting next week (hopefully) ... Fingers crossed.
citiesbydiana Dec 15, 2021 @ 8:19pm
Also, I would absolutely LOVE a 3 lane on each side version of these networks, and general non-tram versions of all types (bike, bus, asymetrical, etc) because the skins on these are some of the best i've ever seen.
citiesbydiana Dec 15, 2021 @ 8:18pm
@Clus, when I reloaded the game I found the asset. Apparently it doesnt show up in the normal road toolbars (i uses the extended toolbar with the different size categories) as either 4 lane or tram roads. So I had to use Find It to actually access the asset.
clus  [author] Dec 15, 2021 @ 11:26am
Strange ... I'll take a look at it tomorrow...
citiesbydiana Dec 14, 2021 @ 4:49pm
for some reason the hole segment is missing, i have all the other networks and they look great but cant find the hole segment anywhere
Herr Batka Oct 2, 2021 @ 12:11pm
I have problem. I don't have #3, #4 and #5 segments :/. On Loading screen mod is missed only "LRT main pillar" and a few not important things
clus  [author] Apr 13, 2021 @ 4:59am
@parillos Sry for the really late reply. You can use find it to locate them (you might´ve done that already) ...otherwise you´ll find them in the roads section under the "pipes" tab.
parillos Oct 7, 2020 @ 6:54pm
Hi, sorry to bother. I am having the hardest time finding where these are located so that I can build them... Are there any known conflicts with other mods that I might not know of? I have uninstalled, and reinstalled, and I have made sure that they are enabled via the content manager... :(
mjm92150 Apr 5, 2020 @ 2:26pm
Hello,
Is possible to update the mod TM:PE STABLE ?
Here the link : https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1637663252
In fact, you put the LABS version of TM:PE.
Thanks to update to all your assets.
elrix69 Mar 8, 2020 @ 7:08am
Clus, great concept. just not working for me. I'll try Bonger's overpass idea see how it pans out.

I've spent a few hours trying to get it to work. No go. way to much fighting with dropping the tram tracks in. then loosing them, segment 5 also flips the road links over. Also have the same problem that Retr0 has, it doesn't want to play well with the other roads.

Was looking for something to dive under a round about, guess this is not it for me.
clus  [author] Feb 29, 2020 @ 2:15am
Attention ! The next road which got it´s update ! :) For details check the update notes. I hope everything went well for you ...
Cintrall Feb 19, 2020 @ 10:12am
What DLC do you need for this?
Muska Sep 30, 2019 @ 7:13am
No node idea is good! I think this idea can be used for overpass and underpass road. How about making those?
clus  [author] Sep 26, 2019 @ 3:21am
No ... :/ Sry ... I finished/am finishing some other roads and had therefore no time to do the 3 and 4 lane roads, yet. But they will come ... ;)
Yiriks Sep 25, 2019 @ 6:19pm
Any update on those 3 and 4 lanes? I would love to use these kind of beautiful constructions more
clus  [author] Aug 15, 2019 @ 12:26pm
haha ... no. Just time, RL and other things I wanted to do first ... ;)
